SCH really only needed a way to dump aetherflow. Energy Drain works, I just wished the dump wasn't damage. I would've instead liked a mini swiftcast that reduces the next cast time by 2.5 seconds. Or maybe a teleport.

It works out equal since the shield was reduced by the increased potency. Meaning only the healing portion was buffed while shields remain as was.
The buff to CI is very good for Noct and their raw healing is increased.

Sleeve draw no longer lines up with Divination, the number of draws you have between Divination casts is severely cut, you can't be picky to the same degree you previously were burning redraws just to swap a physical buff for a ranged one etc etc. You actually need to think about what to keep and what to toss now. It will be far more common that people cast duplicate seal Divinations now too.

4.X was my first raiding experience and I only survived it because O1S and O2S were legendarily easy in PUGs. I eventually went the distance from O3S-O12S (ignoring ultimates) with a static. E1S and E2S however feel like something I don't want to touch wiht PUGs.

So what's the point of doing Savage? The gear is just a minor stat upgrade, it doesn't fundamentally change how to the class works like how older MMO set bonuses functioned. Plus, people can get similar stat gear by just playing casually thanks to tomestones and upgrades. All of your gear will be invalidated within the next 3-6 months.

Some people say it's for the challenge, but the mechanics aren't really challenging. The challenge comes from putting together a group of 7 other like-minded people that can do Simon Says and have a similar available schedule as you. So where is the fun to be had? What's fun about having a part time job simulator aka a Static?

Tanking is boring, but I play solo, so its convenient. DPS is more enjoyable, but I don't have a static, so I just end up sitting around constantly waiting for shit.

Tanking isn't even fun anymore. They widened the gap pretty significantly between tank dps and regular dps, so beating people in dps that make mistakes unless they are truly god awful is no longer possible.

You seem to like to level jobs or want to stick to a specific role, so I'd avoid melee, since they don't share gear and its a nightmare.

I went and played MNK in a dungeon and a few raids and I admit it, the job is fun again. Fists Stances are still basically useless, Tornado Kick is still basically useless, Anatman is now basically useless, but at least the job isn't just fucking frustrating to play. No slowdown is amazing and just makes you realize how much it hurt the fun of the job. Riddle of Earth giving you 30 seconds of no positionals is fucking incredible and makes it so much more free while not feeling like you're getting it for nothing since you have to time it. Form Shift makes Greased Lightning a joke but at least we no longer have to worry about losing it to bullshit mechanics and can keep GL going through an entire dungeon.

Even with a DRG and SCH in your group you can't get enough Crit from the current gear selection to make it worthwhile yet. You want to mainly stack DH and once that's capped Det for now.

It's mostly because MNK has been crippled for so long and these changes are like finally being able to walk again. If you're already used to playing functioning jobs you probably won't get it, but for Monk mains it's literally a "weeping tears of joy" moment. The job still has loads of problems but it was so unbelievably awful before that the changes are incredible for people who have played the job extensively.

So in the prior patch, Reprise was 2.4 potency IF you were in heavy movement, and couldnt cast (otherwise it was negative potency)
(And even in movement heavy scenarios its still negative potency because of the changes to manafication and needing to fit in an extra melee combo into fights, to maximize DPS)
