how did this kusoge become so popular?

It's useless OP to resonate with the Aris army, Tekken fanbase is now obsessed only about competitive thanks to him.

Hey man, I get that your favorite fighting franchise being murdered must be very frustrating, but you should be angry with Capcom, not us. Maybe SF6 will be dope, right? Then maybe you can spend time actually playing it instead of lashing out on the internet. Chin up, kid.

Attached: thumbsup.gif (500x390, 1.92M)

In the past i really did not cared about the competitive position of Tekken, i just wanted to see good matches even if T5 Steve was bad to see.
With T7 and twich streams, a new arrogant fanbase rose believing the game to be the be the best, flawless and untouchable from any criticism.

...

>tekken brainlets have no arguments and just resort to seethepost
Why does this happen every time with them? Even with Smashfags you can have a decent and civil discussion.

>shitty and clownish customization
>shitty soundtrack
>all characters unlocked from the start
>pathetic, short ending movies for each char

It really shows how little Tekken players actually care about mastering the game. They're seething over muh content

>taunt jet upper
He thinks a 1F link is hard.
>5 kbds in a row
He thinks qcb motions are hard.

Look at this dude.

And the worst thing they told me that only training and online are needed for Tekken which is bad

>Vanilla stages unaivalable
>Old char. being locked as dlc
>Story is bad
>Every char. outside those in the Mishima bubble are a joke
>Bowling is the least fun mode
>etc.

Have you even tried the game? I was gonna argue every point one by one but the general counter arguement is that you haven't even tried the game yourself

Tekken 7 is soulless, especially with the lack of an individual cinematica character ending to give more depths to the cast.

*cinematic

Why are you implying I haven't tried Tekken so you can dodge the debate?

imagine thinking this unironically

ITT: SF cucks who can't into the best 3D fighter ever.

It's a blessing in disguise. Smash always goes fucking late and delays other event. This time the toddlers can stay in their bubble while the FGC fucks off to play in casinos.

Nah, before there was a competitive group for it. Now, Aris tells you try it its fun he said with muh Eddy.

I wish that "le lord arnus" played smash instead of tekken. He only marred this game by his presence.

This is honestly the only place I see people defend sfv and pretend T7 is the worst thing in existence.
Not sure if it's bait or people genuinely mad. 2D fighters are just too simple for my taste.

Remember that there are only like 2 people tops defending SFV in this thread.

SFV and T7 are both bad

She’s disgusted a subhuman is saying that to her

imagine thinking tekken is a bad fighting game
just imagine
literally just imagine

It's mostly Aris fanbase that parrots whatever he says mindlessy, despite the fact he does it for entertainment and he doesn't even play Tekken anymore but just hop in the hype train for revenue every now and then. Aris fanbase is literally retarded but Aris himself isn't, he's just smart entrepreneur.

What's really autistic is the Tekken fanbase itself. There are literal 40 year olds that played the game for 20+ years and still rage over poeple at the smallest criticism. They have never played a game outside of Tekken and yet they're utterly convinced it is the hardest and best fighting game ever conceived.

It reminds me of Smash a bit but at least they're self aware and you can talk to them like normal persons, when it comes to Tekken they're all bitter and pathetic.

Attached: w8krY0g.png (285x253, 112K)

What do you play

>2D fighters are just too simple for my taste
>plays tekken
how to spot a person who never played fighting games in his life

Muh aris. Tekken is Unironically the best fighting game out rn next to unist and guilty gear.
If capcom didnt shit the bed so bad then maybe it wouldn’t get so much attention. I bet you play trash like dbzf

No, I'm actually curious. There's an execution barrier for every character except, like, 3 of them, and they aren't even top tier. Movement is there im the form of kbd which is another execution barrier, and it's not as simple as a qcb motion. If you think characters are bland that's your opinion, I agree some feel like utter shit (what is even Katarina's point in Tekken?). The game is also slow enough that you can (and should) memorise frame data but fast enough that it's not just based on reflexive reactions. The camera system also makes it so that everyone can have their preferred side regardless of what the other chooses (so both players can choose player 1 or 2 side), and slow motion, while seeming like a useless addition, is actually really good for streamed matches, making hype moments even better.

don't put Kekken and UNIST or Guilty Gear in the same sentence ever again, subhuman 3D brainlet

Attached: jVwGzfq.jpg (400x462, 48K)

Tekken is not a bad fighting game, but in all games theres was always broken char.: T1 Paul, 2 Kaz, 3 Ogre, Tag 1/4 Jin, T5 Steve, etc. As today Anna is very weak.

It's really just one autist called Nubi who shitposts in every Tekken thread on Yea Forums he can find and spams them with the same images and copypasta, or if he's bored, makes one himself, because he's that butthurt Bloody Roar never took off as the premiere 3D fighter.
Stick around long enough in Tekken threads and you'll see the same shitposts, that's how you know it's him. Just ignore and report him. He's not going to reply to you with anything meaningful other than the template cookie-cutter shit he repeats in previous threads. It's like talking to an actual NPC.

Attached: 1561755479400.png (540x876, 528K)

>Anime only players are retards
I know user

He's not in this thread, he spammes the same pasta and webv.

Quit babbling and tell me the execution barriers. You said EVERY character has it but 3? Bullshit. This game is piss easy and all characters play exactly the same. Korean backdash isn't hard, stop parroting what reddit and /tekgen/ say, they're Tekkenfags who never played a fighting game.

The characters are objectively bland compared to ANY other fighting game out there.

>The game is also slow enough that you can (and should) memorise frame data but fast enough that it's not just based on reflexive reactions
This is a good thing in your opinion? God, saying the game is slow is an euphemism.

>being good at the game means memorizing hundreds of blockstrings' frame data and counters
Correct. Everything else you said is wrong.
That said, fighting games are really bad right now in general.
Street Fighter V is aids. Marvel is dead. Guilty Gear is dead. DBFZ is boring. Nobody plays KoF.
At least Unist is alright.

This girl does things to me.

>If you think characters are bland that's your opinion
watch a random tekken tournament and then come back and tell me tekken characters are ''diverse'' and ''unique''

>2D fighters are just too simple for my taste
Did you play any

Korean backdashing is aids.

tekkucks are convinced that having a different animation for your copy pasted launcher makes the character unique

It'a because the c.scene of most other games being crippled that gave T a chance.

Tekken 7 is a predictable follow-up to a series that's never aimed particularly high, it may please casual gamers for a day or two but the stagnant ongoing series is definitely in the second tier of fighters way below Capcom or NetherRealm Studios games, and it's seriously getting old and tired. The lack of depth and subtlety and the emphasis on the offensive, rather than the defensive, puts this squarely two notches below the best in the genre, the "who-can-get-their-super-move-off-first" gameplay leaves much to be desired from a serious fighting game player. Like the prequels, Tekken 7 is geared towards casual gamers and anyone who's been exposed to more technical, more dynamic fighting games will quickly pass on tekken. Other top fighters, namely Street Fighter, DoA and MK games have advanced impressively in their latest installments; but the relic that is tekken just can't seem to evolve, furthermore many combos can be done simply by hitting 1-button, and the nearly "instant-kill" rage art moves are just laughably broken. Instead of a supplying a proper fighting engine, matches in T7 seem to rely heavily on "who can get their rage move off first". So many elements of the gameplay don't even require any sort of skill. In my book, slow motion over and over again also gets old very quickly. And in the end, it's more of a novelty or gimmick rather than an actual, thought-out fighting game mechanic. But hey, the casual crowd will be pleased!

If you want something a little more "button-masher-friendly," tekken might be your cup of tea.... Key word, might.

Oops

Why are Tekken matches so hype to watch? Other games just don't bring that same level of excitement from a spectator's perspective.

Are you fucking retarded? You expect me to tell you EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER'S execution barriers? Wouldn't it be easier to, I don't know, actually try the game out yourself? And saying kbd isn't hard? It takes time to do it at a base level, let alone master it. Instead of talking so much shit, why don't you record a video of yourself doing a full perfect match online, with timestamp and post number? Or is it that you don't even have the game?

I could say the same about generic anime fighter n. 362. It's different in the fact that it's not a fucking anime fighter, and that's enough for me.

Third Strike was hype to watch at the time.

all wrong btw

because people are screaming over it and gives you a contact high, even though nothing exciting is actually happening

>because people are screaming over it and gives you a contact high
commentators scream over every game when something is happening but that doesn't mean the excitement is always mutual, here that's not really an explanation

it's just one person really.

Not technically all.

Go play T4.
The game stayed a lot of time in the arcades, people were expecting a better PS port.

they are desperate these days...

Hello anons, newfag to fighting games here. What would be the best fighting game to pick up first? Maybe an interesting selection of characters, and not too complex of a system (at least not so complex that I can't learn the game)

Isn't that mimi or yuyu or whatever her name is? She's a manipulative shitbird and an orbiter magent. I know of at least three times in tourneys when she started crying (in coed tourneys, obviously) when losing to get her opponent to go easier on her. One some of those occasions, the the white knight betas in the crowd literally started booing the guys beating her because they didn't like seeing a waifu crying, as if anyone should be throwing matches in a tournament they paid entry fees to compete in.

The when fags started sheepishly trundle towards her to comfort her after she loses, she sucks it up instantly and waves them away as if to say "fuck off, you disgusting beta faggots. I was just using you and pretending."

No fighting game is too complex to learn. They're just video games, after all. Some have more depth and some have less depth you just have to find your sweet spot of what you personally find to be most fun.

Attached: 1508871923792.png (1715x2494, 1.78M)

SFV, Tekken 7, and MK11 are the fighting games that are the most alive right now

Why is Virtua Fighter so high-IQ?

It's not that it's a hard game to play (with the majority of characters) but you are required to know a metric fuckton. Starting from inputs and moving through its system to how to play the environments.

Whichever you like the look of. You're going to be more likely to stick with a game you enjoy than one you don't, even if the former is more complex.

cool. Just to clarify, what I meant was, watching fighting games online most fightss seemed very complicated. It could be that I stumbled onto high level players. But regardless, I wanted a more entry level fighting game to introduce me to the genre, and your chart showed me quite a few of them so thanks for that.

It's okay, based shadow and jimmy were completely unphased by those antics.

Attached: ZIQChZe.png (477x428, 258K)

No thanks I’ll cheer for superior waifu

Attached: 96D6D955-759A-4AC4-AFE6-945282068DAF.jpg (640x852, 110K)

That comes much, much later. People who have been playing for a long time are on another level. The know the games inside and out to the point of mastery and the game they're playing isn't even one of skill anymore. It's all psychology.

I wonder who could be behind this post

Attached: 1564478889269.jpg (2126x404, 105K)

its true tekken requires you to learn a lot of things in the beginning, but whenever you get past a certain knowledge barrier the game rewards you like no other (provided you got fundamentals) because the system is really well done, there's few feelings as good as fighting a good player playing a matchup you know

Attached: 1563105191037m.jpg (1024x731, 66K)

that's why they released in arcades years before the western release so they could iterate, collect feedback from arcade players and actually make a good game. if it were a quick cash grab it would have released in 2015 and been absolute dogshit

Nah, i was told that Tekken only needs training and online.

>Bronson doesn't cry when I beat his ass
>what is this, why am I here
>why are those people in the back booing me for winning at tekken
>I want to go home and practice TJUs

EVO is going to be sick bros

>being good at the game means memorizing hundreds of blockstrings' frame data and counters
This is why I can't be bothered to learn Tekken.
The skill floor is high and I just don't have the grinding spirit in me like I used to when I started FGs. I know I would love it though if I just put in the initial few hundred hours to learn movement and basic MU stuff

It's really not that high, the first 15 ranks in ranked are equally clueless as you and the game is much less about deciphering strings and just playing basic footsies and letting your opponents kill themselves.
And a lot of strings you can decipher using logic and the payoff for getting hit by them is not high, so even if you don't go into a match knowing what strings a guy is going to hit you with, you are very likely to be able to piece a counter relatively quickly.

Considering the pedigree SF has, the difference should be a lot larger. Like hundreds more, not dozens.

Attached: 1560384838325.png (498x443, 79K)

It used to be. It's because Capcom dropped the ball so hard on SFV (and the competition like SamSho, T7 and UNIST turning out pretty good) that everyone moved to other games or stopped bothering with SFV altogether.

it's a hollow victory and they know their time is coming

I hope both SFV and Tekken players get the dlc characters they want from evo

Attached: 1389123766323.png (2000x1795, 502K)

I hope you have a nice day user

>Hating rage art
Scrub

Yeah, I'm talking about playing guys who know what they're doing obviously.
I played Kazumi to yellow ranks when the game came out using like 5 moves and spacing, but after your opponents start getting better it feels like you have to hit training mode after every match.
Even if you can figure out how to block/dodge a string or move, knowing the correct punish and having the muscle memory for it is super important and hard to figure out mid-match.
This is the case in all fighting games, but I feel like every character has so many gimmicks in Tekken that you have to know to not get cheesed out, which is off-putting for me
