Maybe the game should have an entirely different story featuring the wolf brigade, giving it some psychological parts in a few missions and the rest is some meaningful tasks with actual difficulty, and it can showcase the depravity of some people and how far they are willing to take things.

Not all that easily. As cool as the few action scenes in Jin-Roh they were, they would not lend themselves well to a combat-focused game.

I think the two options that seem most sensible are: Rainbow-Six-esque tactical shooter, or X-com-esque strategy. Perhaps mixture of both, having the larger strategy elements driven (mostly involving politics and diplomacy, actually) of X-com, but a more plan-driven but real time Rainbow Six / Swat style combat?

Not really. I COULD be pulled off in first person in theory. It just would have to have additional mechanics on top of that. As others suggested, a SWAT like combat, with emphasis on planning stage, and additional strategy level could work.

I'd say it holds up. Graphics are obviously outdated, and IIRC the controls are pretty tanky, but it's still completely playable, no worse than early Tomb raiders.

Yes. It's a little slow to start, but once you unlock some of the moves it really takes off. And you can replay the earlier levels with the new moves. Either way, it's definitely not worth watching youtube for the story because it's generic bullshit, but maybe just to see how it plays first.

the action is pretty good and the koreans did a good job making it their own but the ending makes little sense considering the aftermath of such action would mean he "wouldnt have a pack to run with" any more and basically he sacrifices himself for a bullshit reason
