I know absolutely nothing about it besides that it was made by Itsuno. How is the gameplay and stuffs like that? Is the remaster better or worst than the original?
Dragon's Dogma: How is this game?
The combat is fun-ish, but that's about it. It does also start gettimg quite repetitive. The story is dogshit and so are 3/4 of the side quests The world is quite small and enemy variety isn't the greatest.
Make no mistake, Dragon's Dogma is not a good game. That being said, it's still one of the best games I've ever played.
Oh, sounds a little underwhelming but i have heard many anons say positive things about it
It's 100% worth trying out, and buying on sale
That's only because you can play as a loli and have a harem of loli pawns.
it's boring. half the classes spam 1 button over and over for combat (literally), and you spend more time walking between quest markers than actually doing quests. that would be fine if the environment was interesting or actually had shit to do or things to explore, but it's not and has nothing. it's literally just giant low-res fields with copy pasted monsters to slow you down on your way to the quest marker. oh not to mention the retarded pawn system in which 80% of them are useless because they weren't trained to have the few behaviors that don't make them completely useless. but hey, see that ogre? you can climb it!
It's actually beyond me how fucking overrated this game is on Yea Forums, i don't get it at all. I'm beginning to think it's just some meme DDfags are all in on to trick people into buying a game and make them expect some hidden gem masterpiece when in reality it's an unfinished pile of shit
It's incredibly flawed and incredibly fun, you either love or hate it.
Combat alone might make you play it for hundreds of hours, the story starts generic but ends up fucking amazing when you reach the dragon and postgame. There are a lot of waifus and you can "romance" almost every single character even fat old merchant or his 14 year old daughter, though implementation is very basic and flawed. Finding pawns online in a pretty cool feature, you can customize your own companion and use what other people created. Also, character creator is one of the best I have seen.
Does the gameplay/combat resemble DMC in any way?
i see
Get ready for a 400 post thread.
First for Magikxk Archer
It uses some of the DMC attacks, has very satisfying animations, but it's more of an RPG with classes n shiet.
When you are bored, there is a mod on PC that among other things like hotkeys and quicksave allows you to combo weapons and skills from different classes.
I was like you once
then I made a magical girl arisen and her sword/shield friend pawn
couple that with the Japanese language patch and it's fun as shit to play as a magical anime girl casting giant fucking tornadoes and meteor showers
pretty much what said
The Dark Arisen version come with all the DLC, right? How is it?
i feel i should mention also that I had substantially more fun when I played without a full team of pawns, solo runs are viable and might be more enjoyable for you, it's your call
Interestingly enough, I think the angelos from dmc5 have reused attacks from dragon’s dogma
why is Nightmare in that game?
it's pretty fair to say that dragon's dogma is so bad it's good. it's not either, Dragon's Dogma would be like the greatest ps2 game ever made if it released 5 years earlier. as it stands it's a unique, enthralling fantasy game with a nice variety of playstyles and a constant but optional companion mechanic which will help you breeze through difficult areas. it's not the same kind of open world as you see these days; go to the wrong area and you WILL get fucked up and you cannot cheese your way past this. but the pacing is good once you learn the map and it's got incredibly satisfying combat assuming you know what you're doing.
my suggestion is: play it with the understanding that it will feel awkward and clunky until you've explored a nice big portion of the map but the dark arisen release gives yhou lots of loot you can sell from the get go for a shitzillion gold, to start off strong. have fun.
This user is a good sales man, i think i'm going to get a copy
This.
>game is really bad but also really good
Getting real tired of this meme.
i played it for about 40 hours before getting bored with it. the combat is alright, but the thought of grinding out 150 more levels sounds tiresome. beyond that the world just sort of feels unfinished. theres not that many interesting locations/characters/quests and the story feels like an afterthought
sometimes it's more than just a meme user
it's fun
it's good
>remaster?
you mean DA? pretty sure that's not a remaster just an updated version with some patches and the expansion.
On PS4 and XONE, Dark Arisen is kind of a remaster because of the resolution bump
>because of the resolution bump
it's probably closer to a HD version, and even then there a bunch of PC ports with resolution upgrades that aren't really considered upgrades.
idk though, regardless get DA, because of the BBI content.
>It's so bad it's good
can i make a Dante look alike in this game?
it's basically the roughest, least polished yet most precious diamond
not in the sense that the game is bugged or something like that, more like in the sense that the best game ever made is hidden under a layer of jank and crudeness
if you can bear with it's flaws you'll find yourself enjoying an unbelievably fun game
>grinding
there's zero grinding required in Dragon's Dogma
It's great
Oh god my sides
Boring as shit.
No story worth mentioning and the combat is repetetive and boring. Don't wait for it to get good, it doesn't.
>Dragon's Dogma would be like the greatest ps2 game ever made
that might be a perfect explanation for why I love this game so much, it's peak gen6 fun
>they removed the Berserk armours
