I liked both of them

1 is still amazing for its interconnected world and grand sense of adventure
2 is still amazing for its haunting music, goofy characters, and the feeling of a wonderful journey
3 is still rushed and buggy like the original

Worth every dollar

I grew up playing the original trilogy over and over, the right is a nice modernisation, the only one that looks kinda off is the second image,, the sky needs to be more blue

never played spyro before, decide to play missed gems so started playing spyro 1 and it is fucking comfy.

why does it matter how the aesthetic was achieved? in retrospect, hardware limitations enabled games like spyro and crash to look as good as they did

it's pretty interesting how limations on hardware resulted in so many aesthetically great games (silent hill is another example) but attempts to reproduce a "retro" art style in indy games are mostly ugly and soulless
