My take:

When the last scan came out I predicted we'd see a decrease in the next one in line with past trends. But I'm honestly still a little surprised given how popular Shadowbringers has been. As LuckyBancho points out, this likely has to do with the fact that the scan period was 1 month this time as opposed to 4 last time. This time the scan doesn't track changes in HP like previous ones either.

I'll go out on a limb here and predict that we're going to see a deviation from the trends of past expansion launches and see a slight increase in active characters in the next scan just before patch 5.1. According to official statements, subscriber numbers were at a record high just before ShB launch, the reviews have been stellar, and 5.1 is shaping up to be a pretty huge patch with a little something for everyone (including a new Ultimate), so I think things are going to go up.

Yeah they are, I have accounts on both DCs and the post echo Alphascape, Shadowbringers duty finding, and Shadowbringers ex primals have been pretty much the same experience, but Aether has more PFs. It's not really a reason to go publicly stream yourself trolling groups on another datacenter.

Aether/Primal players are absolutely insufferable and there's not a single thing he can do in-game if he keeps being toxic while on Crystal because we can easily just keep doing it, with different people reporting him in a short amount of time. As a side comment, crystal is booming with new players, but when it comes to level 80s and excluding Balmung, all other 7 crystal servers have less level 80s than the smallest primal server, or than second smallest aether server. I really hope the new blood sticks around to hit 80, otherwise end game is gonna be quite difficult there.
