Strictly speaking, 4.0.0 could release but they might not have official release The Hero at the same moment. Keep in mind they'd have to upload the unlock key as a DLC, whether you have the season pass or not. They may not necessarily do that at the exact same moment as they release 4.0.0. I imagine they will, but yeah.
