Man, am I the only one who absolutely adores some of Half Life's concepts? Mainly the Universal Union, which is literally just a Synthetic super empire comprised of trillions of mindwiped monstrosities that are repurposed for war, while they own fucking universes. UNIVERSES. While having floating potatos in charge of said synths with claw arms that telepathically annihilate physics as if it were a toy. R-Right, Anons? Am I the only one? Haha?

Replaying Half Life 2 recently I was amazed by how subtle this game's storytelling is, generally. Very little exposition. At the start of the game, you really have no idea where you are.

Half-life 2 is a bad sequel and it retcons almost all of Half-life 1. It’s guns suck, it’s story sucks, it’s gameplay is average at best and it’s functionality has been systematically crippled by updates to the source engine.

to be fair the MP7 is pretty shit too but the rest of the arsenal is great, never seen a vidya gun quite like the AR2 and there are mods that make it even better.
