tf2 on ps3 is literally the purest way to experience tf2 right now, at least officially

I used to, but eventually the game didn't let me join a server. The game would freeze and the entire PS3 had to be unplugged, it bugged the fuck out. Some guy messaged me on ps4 after months of that happening telling me modders fixed it. Sadly, when I popped in the disk, my ps3 didn't read it. It's fucked, can't read CDs anymore.

TF2 on ps3 was fucking amazing. A lot of people knew me because it was a very closed community and everyone was really chill. Tried it on PC and never touched it again, it was cancerous and overrun with ironic weebs and shitposters and just nasty fucking awful people, and the game itself felt like a shitfest.

HL1 is on PS2. Probably my favorite version. You can play with a controller in your left and and a USB mouse at the same time. Then the The Orange Box for PS3.

I'm mostly just talking about tf2, but it wouldn't surprise me if it held true for all of them, because I'm fairly certain it was a general source engine update that fucked the lighting system, which may have affected all of the games on it.

It is amazing how they managed to even make it RUN worse than they used to, despite downgrading everything. My computer isn't top of the line by any means, but I don't get stutters on basically any game. TF2? Can't even run it on low without constant stuttering.

Probably never. If I remember right EA has weird publishing rights to the orange box games that valve probably won't bother dealing with to port 15 year old games to newer consoles.

I didn't even look at my frame rate, but it was really stuttery. I expected it to run smooth without any hiccups. I tried on Linux and windows, windows was playable but still stuttered, Linux was unplayable.

buy the 360 version digitally and you'll be able to play that version on one because its one of the backwards compatible games, that's how i play it.

No you can get it on xbone, hell it even runs at 4k. Of course its the 360 ver emulated so you can play with 360 owners.

Nah, it was a memory issue. The orange box engine is a mess and it's well known how poor its memory management is. Base TF2 was already at the limit for this.

The hackers on console are nice. Some of them load Half-Life 2 maps with 60FPS. I knew one that had a basketball Scout last-team-standing map and another that had a pure 60FPS map. I own it digital, so I'd have to buy it physical if I want to host 60FPS maps
