More like best and most definitive way to play OG RE1

What the fuck
My nigga

seriously a great version
...huh. makes sense when i consider it, but i never considered it

Doom 3 on PS4

Attached: max payne gba.jpg (270x266, 28K)

How the fuck are these ports "weird"?

>Dude lets rip a game out of a collection and charge them the same price as the entire collection lmao

Attached: devil-may-cry-nintendo-switch-summer.jpg (940x528, 190K)

Original RE on DS is definitely weird.

>sold less than 2000 copies
The wii u really was a stinker

>Ran worse than fucking PS3 release.
>Well I guess nobody wants Yakuza on Nintendo consoles.

Of course you fucking retards.

The best console port of UMK3 is the DS port.
That's a fucking shock.

Attached: knightsinthenightmareW__21371.1472146151.jpg (741x1280, 357K)

HOW?

So is Chrono Trigger too

Does anyone have an explanation why Capcom did this?

Ahem

Attached: 71oru1OJJiL._AC_SL1500_.jpg (1307x1500, 166K)

>Skippable cutscenes
>New game mode
>Better models (surprisingly)
>Knife doesn't take up a slot and can be used whenever
>Quick turn
>FUCKING DOOR SKIP
>Portable

Unironically the best way to play RE1. If it had the director's cut as a third mode it'd be the definitive way to play.

Attached: 531.png (65x65, 9K)

it shoehorned touch controls and first person gameplay, and 3d games ported to underpowered handhelds are pretty weird to begin with

jewish

because switch owners are cucks and capcom likes making money

That's not a weird port. Its an awful Remaster.

The loading screens took forever oh my god

Attached: 1538844575531.jpg (768x768, 107K)

>Shoehorned touch controls
>Game gives you the option at the start to play without them
Also this. It's an amazingly great port.

Didn't got made by same devs from Armageddon?

RE5 was supposed to be ported to 3ds, but then capcom decided to shove mercs first then REV, I"m still pissed with lack of REV2 despite the first game selling way more on 3ds.

Well this time it didn't work the game didn't even entered the Top 20 charts on the eShop. Capcom neglected to realize the eShop gets dozens of games every week and it got drowned out. Thats what they get for being cheap jews

>underpowered handhelds
Nigger the DS had better hardware than the PS1

Money.

Its still counts as a port

Resident Evil Deadly Silence is an amazing port of RE1 and my favorite version of the game. And as someone who loves Resident Evil 1, I feel it is even superior to REmake.

>lower resolution than PSone/Saturn
>lower poly models than PSone/Saturn
>replaced Richard's VA
>no Director's Cut arrange mode

Nah

It barely had anything to do with Sands of Time
there were a lot of sand monsters who were able to use magic it was a constant wtf, fat sand monster levitating and shooting fireballs from its hands, bats shooting acid on you, the story was told in a very retarded way and didn't make any sense, you had to collect talismans to open certain doors, there were something with sacred altars which were also the save points, in specific segments you had to control Farah but you only solved some puzzles with her, and you had to overcome odds in weird ways like a door closes when someone is near it so you had to become invisible

Attached: poptsot.png (400x400, 73K)

Attached: 1552383779718.jpg (480x360, 12K)

when are we going to get a proper RE4 on phones?

this shit was garbage

This is unironically a great port and the best way to play the original RE. The optional touch screen puzzles and additions are nice too. Just emulate and upscale it and it's a great experience

this shit still feels like a fever dream

How bad was the ps3 release? Also curious as to what functionality the gamepad had.

Prince of Persia Warrior Within on the iPhone

Attached: warriorwithin.jpg (480x320, 35K)

Bet you didn't know Dead Rising has a phone port.

Attached: dead rising mobile.png (960x640, 884K)

Deadly Silence is actually pretty good desu

Deadly Silence feels and runs much smoother compared to even emulated ps1. Skippable doors are a nice quality of life addition and even though the graphics are slightly downgraded it doesn't change the overall aesthetic in the slightest.

I raise you this one
>Old port of Mass Effect 3 for 60 dollars
>A week later EA releases Mass Effect Trilogy on PS3 and 360 for 40 dollars

Attached: 151912_front.jpg (640x902, 132K)

it also has a Wii port

Attached: size_800.jpg (800x800, 120K)

They probably aren't the weirdest but I remember being in high school, just discovering emulation, and playing a lot of some Street Fighter Alpha and King of Fighters games on a GBA emulator of all things because my toaster wasn't exactly about to run anything on arcade-level.

SFA3 on GBA.

Not only devs managed to fit the entire cast + newcomers but gameplay got translated well. Also capcom fucked them over by printing the damn thing on smaller carts.

talking about weird Wii U ports
>comes out six months after release
>it runs with an average 26 fps
>it constantly drops to 17-20 fps when there is an explosion

Attached: 193453600.ubisoft-watch-dogs-wii-u.jpg (425x600, 45K)

It wasn't really a port. They rebuilt the entire game from the ground up so it could run on the RE4 engine and the Wii

Attached: ps2webofshadows-ss2.png (600x427, 262K)

Attached: 61D2NVB82ML._SX342_.jpg (342x342, 35K)

>Wii version gets a port of the PS3/360 versions with exclusive costumes
>PS2 gets this
Why? There was so many Wii/PS2 versions of games

it didn't, but that's besides the point since game cartridges didn't compare to CDs, especially for a game full of FMV and voice acting

does this count as a port?

>it constantly drops to 17-20 fps when there is an explosion
still better than the last-gen ports

not really, digitalfoundry even compared the two versions, ps3/360 STILL run better

Attached: nolf.jpg (313x445, 32K)

digitaljewry was biased agasint the wii u, everyone knows this

Wii U was a weird machine. In theory it was a lot more powerful than the PS3/360, but most versions ran worse than those versions.

>port
its basically a demake, a good one actually.

thumbnail made me think they gave zangief a pair of jeans

Devkits were a mess and publishers pulled the plug pretty fucking fast. Shit like Crysis port got canned because EA got butthurt with Nintendo.

Only good port was nfs most wanted because criterion knows how to code

developers didn't put effort into optimizing their ports

Is this port better than the original?

Attached: serious-sam-3-ps3-lgames-D_NQ_NP_970374-MLA26150592515_102017-F.jpg (670x923, 200K)

What's more impressive: Alpha 3 GBA or Alpha 2 SNES?

Attached: 1527310179175.jpg (282x341, 44K)

With Switch they still don't.
>RE0 has 15 second loading times between rooms
>Saints Row the Third runs worse than the PS3 version
>Ass Creed 3 came 2 months after the other versions and ain't even remastered
>Dark Souls isn't remastered either and has incredibly bit crushed audio, delayed 5 months for no reason

>All these RE ports all over the place
>Nobody at Capcom ever thought to port RE4 to the Vita
I guess I have RE4 on Switch now, but Vita is way more comfortable for playing in the bed for longer periods of time.

>handheld port runs worse than the console original
omg wow

DS not being remaster is a good thing tho, but it actually have the QOL shit from remaster. Only huge issue is shit audio due bameco being jews.

>loadscreens every 2 steps
oh my gOOOOD still liked playing it and the coop storyline

Attached: ps2_halflife-110214.jpg (640x908, 59K)

The Switch is stronger than the PS3 user

dante on smash.

Fun fact, it fucked over Link and Samus in Ultimate Alliance 1 because of it.

>Wii and PS2 run almost the exact same hardware and it's super easy to port shit to both consoles
>MUA1 devs dick around with putting Link and Samus into the game but the most completed version to show has all the PS2 button prompts
>Nintendo sees this, thinks they're putting Link and Samus into every version, flips immediate shit and demands their removal instantly

Then years pass and MUA3 is Switch exclusive. I keep hoping Link and Samus will be free DLC at some point.

Literally every gameboy advance game

see

Fuck off rosterfag lousy ports aren't enough to get in Smash

Attached: Gun.jpg (220x382, 22K)

Holy shit, you must be my clone. I have the exact same opinion. I fucking love the DS version even more than REmake. So much cool stuff was added.

PS2 version did some changes with ammo and updated HD models. Okay but don't worth the hassle when PC release is perfectly fine and now Decay got ported.

Also DC release got canned not before this.

This is the only Tony Hawk game I played and while I was bad at it I thought it was pretty good when I was a kid.

IIRC there's a Jet Set Radio game for GBA that's basically the same thing; a demake with similar isometric skating gameplay. Even has Hideki Naganuma music retrofit into the GBA's soundchip:
youtube.com/watch?v=zWJ23H5rJNU

i miss that when a game for consoles or pc got released on a handheld it was basically a different game.
good times.

Attached: ResidentEvil2.png (320x240, 28K)

Weirdly enough the system requirements for neorage or FBA are a lot lower than they are for VBA

Resident Evil 4 on Zeebo

youtube.com/watch?v=RBh-vBFeegs

Attached: images (4).jpg (554x554, 30K)

Yes, it did. The DS had anti-aliasing in every game, perspective correct textures and no 16-bit color dithering. The DS blows the PS1 out of the water.

People who complain about Switch ports don't realize how bad it used to be
>FPS dropped to 12 at times

Attached: 201171_front.jpg (640x817, 174K)

>SSX made it to one of the biggest failures in console history before ever making it to PC

Attached: SSX-3-Gizmondo-Game.png (454x304, 192K)

I raise you WWE 2k18 on Switch.

the vita had so many bad ports of good games, on the surface it seemed like a portable ps2 but it really wasn't

Attached: 9084121106_c5ffb989a7.jpg (394x499, 76K)

Tiger Telematics reportedly paid millions to get this and FIFA on the Gizmondo

I fucking swear they ported RE4 on everything.
i remember they also ported it to N-gage

This. Original textures over remastered is a plus. Sucks about the audio though. They should've provided something along the lines of a "hd audio pack" or some shit just to compensate.

The Deus Ex WiiU port is supposed to be good.

this was like a decade ago and I didn't know anything outside of MAME existed anyway. Wouldn't have been able to figure out how to get shit set up on that thing back then anyway knowing how dumb I was

the ratchet and clank port was actually not that bad at least compared to jak

Explain

I played it recently and it really amazed me how people used to give such shit performance a pass on consoles. The framerate really ruins the game

I thought the last PS2 game was Fifa 14? Have they really still been doing it all this time or is this just some weird bootleg?

It actually was. However, the Vita had some fucking anti-tamper business in it's OS, which took a SHITLOAD of memory.

It was a pretty great port.

>it didn't
You're actually retarded.

>joker doesn't even get his full game on the switch, just a shitty musou
anything fucking goes, retard

This thing sold really well too, and despite that they never put AE or Ultra out for it, or really any other fighting games. The Circle Pad was unironically really good for the genre too; I got standing 360s effortlessly on it. I got some solid wins in with Hakan online.

I'd fucking kill a man for an SSX Trilogy on Steam (maybe On Tour too). Just cut the licensed music out, fuck it, the only one you NEED to keep is IT'S TRICKY. 3 even had some of its own unique music and I'm pretty sure the original had a full OST too.

Attached: superstreetfighteriv3dedition-1000x420w[1].jpg (1000x420, 158K)

I remember thinking I was the coolest guy in the city when I had blazblue CSS on vita back in the day even though it had pretty much the opposite effect

Its good

bootleg it appears, i'd guess they modified the rosters of an old one

Oh lawd, I just remembered Tekken 3D.

Came with a goddamn movie.

Then you play touch mode.

Attached: 1551217111561.jpg (640x360, 31K)

Joker is from a spinoff of SMT, and SMT has a long history with Nintendo

1 lousy port of a PS2 game for 20 dollars is not enough to get Dante in a children's party game

Cloud.

Prior to Smash 4 he was in...Chain of Memories and the Theatyrhythm games. That's your Cloud on Nintendo.

and Dante has been in shitton of crossover with nintendo
SMT included
he's even more legitimate than joker who hasn't the game he's from on the console

Frame rate is on par with Borderlands 2 on Vita outside of 1 on 1 matches in docked mode.

Switch: youtu.be/eIpvu8xLFBU
PS4 (starts 8 minutes in): youtu.be/Shx2sFtoaAk

Crazy Taxi for GBA
what the fuck is that

Attached: 17117front-2545.jpg (640x640, 87K)

Does the Switch version of DS let you roll in any direction? Breaks the game a bit.

Cloud is from Final Fantasy

Do I even need to explain the rest to you? What connection does Dante have with Nintendo besides Project X Zone and a port that was so slapped together Capcom couldn't even be bothered to port the rest of the collection to it?

a lot of people tend to forget, but MGS1 had a PC port as well

Attached: 91V2kKgqPoL._SY445_.jpg (311x445, 36K)

Dante bought a DS on launch day

Resident Evil 2 on the Game.com portable system by Tiger electronics.

Attached: FaultInOurSTARS.jpg (640x960, 175K)

what connection does Snake have beside a remake of the first game on the gamecube ?

shitton of crossover? You mean the one Project X Zone game right?

I don't think Dante's happening but considering Cloud's only Nintendo appearances before smash were a few spinoffs and Joker didn't even have that (I don't think Q2 came out before he was announced, don't remember) Dante has as good a chance as anybody.

Any good?

>Go online in Touchscreen Mode
>Guile, Deejay, Vega, & Honda everywhere
>Get fucked right in the ass
There was also a mode that put the camera at a tilt so it was like a weird Third Person shoulder view of your character that had a separate Ranked too. Really weird but kinda fun.

Metal Gear had games on the NES way back in the day. Also Kojima is best friends with Sakurai and BEGGED him to put Snake in.

Capcom currently ain't friends with anyone at Nintendo judging by their awful support

Attached: SPCELLGBA.jpg (640x640, 90K)

youtube.com/watch?v=sEJ15bUkZy8

It got blazblue as well. It look like ass due resolution.

I always thought this was the original.

Metal Gear on NES
Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake on NES
Metal Gear Ghost Babel on GBC
MGS3D on 3DS

Given how multiplayer has always been CoD's selling point, it should come as no surprise why they bothered with that one

MGS3D was after brawl

prolly the best version, only competition is the non Greatest hits version of the director's cut

>Joker is from a spinoff of SMT
>Cloud is from Final Fantasy
>Both have had connections to Nintendo

Dante's first real game on Nintendo is a port of a game ripped from an HD Collection that Capcom didn't wanna bother porting. Why do you think he deserves a slot for such a half assed cash grab?

>I'd fucking kill a man for an SSX Trilogy on Steam
same, the only snowboarding game we got is Steep and I couldn't play it more than 15 minutes, thank god I didn't waste a penny on it since Ubisoft was giving it away for free

Attached: tekken-advance-eu-gba.jpg (500x501, 55K)

because all it takes is having a game on nintendo ?

youtube.com/watch?v=B1nAsPjMKzI

This happened

Attached: MKgba.jpg (640x636, 72K)

you have to have some connection to Nintendo, you don't get to be in Smash just because your company lazily ported a game ripped from an HD colleciton

Speaking of which
>Capcom finally gets around to making a proper handheld port of RE4 with the Switch
>but there's no gyro aiming
>there's not even gyro aiming on 5 and 6 when it uses the same fucking engine as the Revelations games
Why did they suddenly get so fucking lazy this year with the ports?

Attached: p5 ps3.jpg (1287x1500, 383K)

Speaking of Ultimate Alliance,

>joker doesn't get his game on the switch
>he's in
>dante has his game on the switch
>also crossover with nintendo
>he's not allowed because I said so

hmmmmmm

I want to live in the world where they decided to do that with RE5 on the Wii instead of making another light gun game.

Having a game on the switch isn't a connection to nintendo ?
Just say you don't like dante lmao

Unironically thanks to that port I can play it on an emulator

Its confirmed RE6 has HD Rumble. But ONLY RE6. None of the others.

Attached: Xplain.png (1102x331, 47K)

You motherfuckers CANNOT beat this. I dare you to try and to fail.
>nintendo portable port of an Xbox exclusive launch title
>not actually a port of the original game, but a completely original narrative
>truncated mechanics from a game that was hideously clunky and unwieldly already
>mysterious 'whooshy' music that a lot of GBA titles had for some fucking reason
>password system
>a fucking PASSWORD system when oddworld was one of the first series to implement quick saving and quickloading
>generally awful but if you were obligated to chew threw it as an oddworld fan in 2003 because there was fuck all-else on the horizon
and here's the most important thing
>100x better than the trash-compacted shitheap that was Munch's Oddysee on the og xbox. it's actually a very fun, unique little game and worth diving into one of the later levels on an emulator just to try to understand how the fuck you're supposed to do anything
and on a personal note
>munch's oddysee gba was the most hyped I've ever been or ever will have been for a game. I called the local stores daily for MONTHS, BEGGING them to give me an early copy or some small fragment of news on the title, and they never, EVER knew what the fuck I was talking about

beat that faggots

Attached: munch's oddysee gba.jpg (450x450, 62K)

Attached: mw.jpg (297x266, 24K)

The game wasn't even a port. It was announced as a PS3 game, but got delayed so much they made a PS4 version. Aside from resolution and slightly faster load times on the PS4 the two versions are identical

>blazblue
>vita
>back in the day
What the fuck? The thing is only a couple years old you literal child

Forgot pic

Attached: gba.jpg (275x183, 14K)

>No one buys it
>Well, I guess you guys don't want our games, we've only released two and a half years of overpriced ports instead of new games and you haven't bought every single one of them, that means you don't want new games
Fucking ironic how bethesda charges 3 times less for doom 3 than crapcom for dmc or re4

Very weird, anons, very weird indeed.
HOWEVER

Attached: latest[1].jpg (500x484, 74K)

didn't the Vita come out in 2012 or something?

Joker for the 5th time is from Persona, a spinoff of SMT. SMT has a huge background with Nintendo. Nintendo themselves admitted Joker was added to represent SMT

Dante has no representation besides PXZ and a lousy port of a game ripped from a collection. Why the fuck does he deserve a slot for such lazy representation and support?

I don't give a shit about a slot in a children's party game, I wanna know why Capcom ripped a game out of a collection instead of porting the collection. Rosterfags are annoying.

The Metal Gear Collection was pretty stellar once you got used to the touch controls on some things.

The same game that the console version with the obvious graphical downgrade and some extra missions. I like it, but i think it really depends if you find the controls comfortable, since aiming with only one analog stick is awkward. I say give it a go, but don't expect to be blow away. Also i can't really comment in the framerate since i played it many years ago and don't really remember that much. But hey, you can always emulate the console version.

Didnt know this existed. I loved this game on xbox. Will definitely hunt this down.

XX got a wii port.

Weird enough it was the most recent update till rerelease recently.

God the sound effects for the announcer going HEAVEN OR HELL, DUEL 1, LETS ROCK! are so garbled you'd think the guy was having a stroke

I don't hate Dante.

I wanna know why you think he deserves a slot for a lazy ass overpriced port nobody bought.

this was 6-7 years ago user.

>Dante has no representation besides PXZ and a lousy port of a game ripped from a collection

>dante has no representation beside this representation

What was weird about it?

That was the only really bad port though. The rest of the shit that got put in Vita worked pretty well.

Makes me sad we never got RE4 on it, or that Bioshock 1 port they liked to tease back when people were still hopeful for the console.

Project X Zone was a crossover with tons of different characters yet you single out Dante

Now focus on the Switch port of DMC. Why does he deserve a slot for a shitty port?

>muh slots

it's really simple, user. Nintendo genuinely doesn't give a shit about fan's retarded "rules" for newcomers beyond "is from a video game." If Capcom or Nintendo wants Dante in, and they can reach an agreement with each other, it's gonna happen.

why 3? why not 4? 4 was the same game with superpowers, and honestly I had way more fun with 4

Attached: Switch_SaintsRow_box.png (300x486, 265K)

Nintendo can't even get Capcom to make a single new game for the Switch, its been nothing but overpriced ports. What makes you think they'll reach an agreement for Smash?

because quality doesn't mean shit, a representation is representation you fucking autist

I bet you think twin snakes and chain of memories were good too huh

Attached: PS68586.jpg (276x276, 65K)

>quality doesn't mean shit
Rosterfags everyone. Does not give two single fucks outside a party game and thinks shitty support is deserving of representation

besides the fact that they already have for Mega Man, Ryu and Ken?

If anything the fact that there's already three Capcom reps (or two and an Echo) is more evidence against than the fact that his franchise doesn't have "history" with nintendo.

>Implying the switch couldn't run those games better
Dark souls is already way more stable and runs at more res than the last gen version
Skyrim runs at more res, is more stable and has way more shit on screen
Diablo 3 goes 720/60 and 900/60 when last gent consoles struggled a fuckton back in the day to even play alone
Some developers just dump the game in there

I don't even own a switch

Even more obscure is a Japanese exclusive PC port of Twisted Metal 1.
youtube.com/watch?v=p8YOmT3v0mw

Oh yes, Bethesda, those fucking angels.
Just ignore Skyrim and Doom 4 being a cool 60 bucks each.

3 Capcom reps, 2 were in the last game and 1 is a clone of one of them

You're asking current year Capcom, 30 dollar Resident Evil 4 exclusively for Switch and HD Collectionless DMC1 for 19.99 Capcom, to reach an agreement for Nintendo to put Dante in Smash just because he was in 1 overpriced port

Look at this picture. What screams PUT HIM IN SMASH NOW to you about this port?

Attached: 9GIGs.png (1387x800, 1.74M)

>Japanese exclusive PC port
reminds me that Tony Hawk's Underground 1 had an Australia exclusive PC port

they won't put it in smash because it's overpriced ?

Plenty of these

Attached: 8856565987.jpg (503x503, 66K)

Megaman x6 and 7 have a korean PC port. X6 is fine but X7 run likes garbage.

I'm not arguing for dante in smash you retarded rosterfag. I'm just pointing out your arguments are stupid and based in nothing but fiction. You seem to think Nintendo gives a single solitary fuck about how iconic Dante is to Nintendo fans or that the only real game he's in on a Nintendo system is a recent overpriced port.

If Nintendo wanted to make fucking Nathan Drake into a Smash character for some reason and Sony/Naughty Dog were willing to negotiate something, it'd still happen despite him having literally nothing to do with Nintendo.

The only bad thing about it is that it's missing some of the music

Because people will still pay for it.

If people would pay $90 for games then games would cost $90.

3 sold way more back in the day, and still has a fanbase. 4 was ok, but pretty much killed the franchise, since it was not so well received.

*cries in canadian*

Attached: 2k gba.png (315x315, 206K)

why are smashfags so desperate for attention? not every thread needs to be about SMAAAAAASH.

Attached: 1563460736521.png (640x480, 466K)

At least you won't get a $6000 bill for an ambulance.

>Snes game can't be remade or re released because the whole fuckery with Maxis EA and Nintendo.

What's weird about it? Looks the same as the original version (probably better on emulator, I dunno), it actually has the good OST, no censorship and the DS extras are nice. The only better version than Deadly Silence is the definitive version that some guy made a couple of years ago that actually has all the content from the different PSone versions, no censorship, good OST and analogue stick compatibility.

Rpcs3 was created to play this

Recent emulators are made to play one game. I fucking hate Patreon.

I miss these kind of ports for franchises, where the new game would be in 3d but the handheld would be similar to the classic style games. All the TMNT beat-em-ups on GBA,for example.

Im asking you why he's worthy of Smash because of it and why Nintendo would agree after a shitty port like this

not really a weird port
but its the DS exclusive sequel to Ultimate Spider-man the game

Attached: 1004004004542286.jpg (1200x1076, 188K)

Having the Wii share PS2 versions felt insulting.

Nintendo cannot even get Capcom to agree to make anything new for the Switch

Why would they agree to Dante in Smash

>not really a weird port
>but
Great.

>Hear about Cemu
>Want to play Tokyo Mirage Sessions
>No work is being done on any game that isn't BOTW
>"Well they're being paid to get BOTW!"

Attached: 1507485336636.jpg (500x436, 48K)

has my life been a lie until now

>multiplayer can't even run at 60 fps
>zombies is capped at 30 fps
>looks worse than mw2
That port was the main reason I was worried about Beenox working on CTR.

Yeah, he'll just die in the waiting room.

Depend of game. Despite some ports being samey as PS2, Wii versions generally ran better or had more features.

GH and RB had DLCs and much better controller support for example.

>capcom porting a game
bitch, if your fridge could, capcom would

Own this one, really like it.

Honestly I'm just surprised no one has tried a console port since.

Attached: 13890-deus-ex-playstation-2-front-cover.jpg (750x1060, 163K)

because money, you absolute fucking moron ?

Feels weird to think this is the last new JSR game. One generation later we could've gotten a proper port for PSP or even maybe DS.

Attached: RemarkableShrillAffenpinscher-small.gif (480x368, 1001K)

It's about optimization. They don't want to waste money becuase they think Nintendo will drop a game at the same time and their game wont sell, since they don't optimize the game runs like shit and gets a bad rep, so consumers don't by the games and spend money on games that actually work, the devs then blame nintendo. I really don't give a fuck, if a game has shitty optimization i will end up pirating it on PC.

Attached: North_American_Box_Art_of_Xanadu_Next.jpg (300x205, 17K)

I thought DR2 was fun as fuck to just mess around in way back in the day when it was Yea Forums's FOTM at release. Only played a bit of 1 and didn't really get too into it, never touched the rest.

You do know there is an HD version of the first JSR game right?

I'm pretty sure more games would bring Nintendo money than Smash DLC

This and MGS3 for 3DS are weird as fuck ports.

Attached: maxresdefault (16).jpg (1280x720, 146K)

>zombies is capped at 30 fps
isn't zombies capped at 30 fps on every platforms except PC?

I honestly prefer this over REmake

Funnily enough this one came out before the actual game.

why didn't they port 1 and 2 also?

Attached: 3ds mgs.jpg (425x378, 47K)

Attached: Bully-Scholarship-Edition-PAL-Wii-FULL.jpg (3240x2176, 830K)

No.

I wish this didn't run like shit. And yeah, an MGS1 port would've been ideal since theres no way to play it on modern consoles.

Because it's a game with a 3 so it's cool to make it into a "3D" in the logo. Also I guess the idea that a full PS2 game on a Nintendo handheld with as much content as Snake Eater would be impressive.

you realize those cameos in smash are litteraly here to sell the game right ?

Dreamcast version is playable but you need an entire memory card for it because the save file expands and takes up space

This was actually a pretty decent version

More games means more money to make

And you just ignore street fighter 2 for 40$ just to name one of the turds they pulled off

that's actually the most solid port of the game. PC Version can crash at random, 360 has the same problems plus framerate drops

Manhunt is on Wii too. And I remember with less censorship than PS2.

what was weird about this?
also, was she best girl?

Attached: pinky.png (540x962, 701K)

Megaman Legends had a PC Port.

>snoy has been censoring games since 2007

Mobile port is also good

No one here is defending bethesda you idiot, he's just pointing that it's ironic a company being known for shit practices recently isn't as half as jew as le 20 year old port at 30$ capcom

what amazes me is the black magic they used to port that game to N64

The Sonic 1 Genesis of UMK3 ports

Attached: MKAdvance.png (720x716, 733K)

Didn't BlazBlue Continuum Shift 2 also receive a 3DS port?

No that one isn't weird

What is weird is the N64 port 4 years later and Capcom attempted to market it as a new game

Attached: 9850_front.jpg (640x470, 46K)

One of the worst ports I have seen in a while

Attached: GUEST_953e9072-6779-4228-a425-c13b3e84e588.jpg (488x488, 52K)

How about the Inverse?

Plumbers Don't Wear Ties most known version is the 3DO release, when the game was actually a PC game that had a very limited release.

Only place that has it right now is some University's library.

Attached: plumbers dont wear ties pc version (2).jpg (4725x2658, 2.89M)

This was only in the US. In Japan it was still called Rockman Dash.

>Even back then Capcom was attempting to sell old scraps as new on Nintendo hardware
Old habits die hard

>ONLY FOR NINTENDO 64

Attached: 1534808021747.png (388x587, 144K)

Made this image awhile back, not exactly an obscure port but regardless.

Attached: MGS3.jpg (1354x569, 310K)

Playing it the ninth time already

Attached: chungusV.png (484x600, 429K)

go back to twitter

i remember people talking about this game because it could only have like 20 zombies on screen at a time or some shit like that

It looks better than the PS2 game in some instances, looks worse in others.

what's crazy is that the combos stayed intact. At least the ones I tried.

>shoehorned
You can change them you retard

I remember this being really good when I was 12-13.

KOF's games, while not really ports, are weird because they had their own little plotline, complete with original characters in the second game that never got followed up on due to a third game not happening.
The characters still live on in the spanish MUGEN community though.

I think it's the fact that it's on Wii, not many Rockstar games make it to Nintendo

Porting PS2 games to the Wii was super common. One extremely popular console to another and they were very comparable hardware.

First one is pretty much a glorified 99 port, second game despite being based off 00 have way less cut frames and run much better.

This game wasn't really made with controller in mind, and playing it with the GC controller is especially awkward.

Attached: 57301280.jpg (720x960, 74K)

Yes.
Between those and Extreme Butoden (and a One Piece game?) ArcSys seemed to be devoted to the 3DS.

Attached: BlazBlue_Continuum_Shift_II_(NA).jpg (640x586, 432K)

Attached: 81AFznnV9iL._SX342_.jpg (342x403, 28K)

Extreme Butoden is quite good. There's combo videos for it that are really interesting to watch to see how the combo system works, and the sprite work is top-notch.

Pic related and Unreal Tournament (which was a launch title in the US)
Without online support there was no point
The Dreamcast ports had online multiplayer

Attached: 1549837016312.png (800x1141, 1.7M)

this version was actually good, I have it and played it on my PS3
not the PC version (missing individual body damage) but it has some improvements like animations and more detailed models

It actually turned out pretty good most of the lvls work well with a controller multiplayer works like a charm assuming you have an i-link cable or multi/tap handy

Attached: unreal tournament.jpg (1280x845, 428K)

Attached: RCT.jpg (314x445, 47K)

they changed some of the viewmodels for the better like the redeemer not taking up half the screen and the sniper rifle just looks plain better
but then also stuff like the pulse rifle were ruined because it is missing the animated ammo counter on the side

Shit, I remember renting this one and the load times are abysmal. At the time, I had a modified PS2 and put the game on the HDD. the game would load in a few seconds and was way more enjoyable.

I'll never understand why the circle pad was literally never used in this game, its all dpad

I think I read that you can use keyboard and mouse with it too

>comes out three years after the PC version and 5 months after Resident Evil 1
what were they thinking

Attached: 1541902173132.png (800x816, 1.29M)

I always wondered what that port was like.

I think that may be a lie, I know one game that has it on the box doesn't actually support it
I have Half-Life 1 for the PS2 and I tried m + kb and it worked pretty well (but that version has the lockon feature which works pretty well already)

Had this and Castlevania when GBA dropped. Shit was so cash.

Attached: 1543106809412.png (720x1188, 1.48M)

I don't know what I would have done with myself if I had this as a lad

Attached: 5660222925_37dcec32e6_b.jpg (800x800, 162K)

god tier port with scuz & dank, colored lighting and god tier physics. pc will never compare.

Attached: P_20190702_234304.jpg (3264x2448, 531K)

And the screen tearing was awful. AND the fugly cutscenes. I played the PC version a few years later and it was a goddamn revelation.

this was canceled unfortunately
i was wondering how they would convert all of the mouse stuff needed in the game onto the cruddy Dreamcast controller

Never 5get that the WiiU got the "armored edition" of bamham city and it was just all the characters wearing ugly armor because the devs couldn't get their demanding clothes to run

>180 degree turn
>rebirth mode
>knife doesn't hog inventory
>skippable door animations
>not the best version of classic RE1
ok buddy

I played the non aoffical one for Dreamcast
Played Soldier of fortune. Long Loading times and segmented maps.

wouldn't be hard, but thankfully it was never ported. Game sucked bad.

I never got to play this bullshit, but i hope some sort of zeboo emulator comes out someday. Might be shit like 90% of the games, but some oddities must be remembered, like dead space on Iphone or the doom snes port. Not because they are good, but because they are interesting

This version of MK2 was ported from DOS for some reason, and has the same terrible MIDI music, and distorted sound effects.

Attached: 479167-mortal-kombat-ii-sega-saturn-front-cover.png.jpg (800x1257, 145K)

Funny enough it was announced as a WiiU exclusive which is why it ran so well

Oh

Capcom USA is super-jewish
Like, Capcom Japan at least does physical releases of Switch ports (MMX was a two-in-one, Okami HD got one with multi-language, same with Onimusha, etc), meanwhile Capcom USA decides that all 8 Mega Man games can't fit on one cart so half the fucking collection is a one-use code

They did the same with Yakuza Kiwami/zero where the PS4 port is more widely known

isn't that just a normal FIFA game?

wasn't Yakuza 0 PS3 only released in Japan?

The Switch has been proven to be better than the 360/PS3, and one of those games is from the fucking Gamecube. Developers are just lazy as fuck and don't feel like doing any optimization work.
Panic Button is among the holy exceptions since, say what you will about the Doom 2016 port but it runs damn fine given the circumstances

Saber Interactive is one as well. They were the ones to make MK11 for Switch and are currently porting Witcher 3 to it

I fucking knew I wasn't the only dude that made a dick pic camo

>The Switch has been proven to be better than the 360/PS3

Attached: 14c.jpg (207x253, 8K)

The real fucked part is that Sly and Ratchet seemed to work fine (Sly 1 had lag with the rain in the Raleigh's intro stage, and I think EU Going Commando had a crash bug at one point but aside from that they were more than playable). Hell, MGS ran fantastic all things considered. The real issue is they gave it to Mass Media and they jammed all three games onto one cart and fucked it all up from there

youtube.com/watch?v=5o2jK3D60OE

>P5 PS4 is 30FPS locked because the PS3 version was base
>despite Royal seemingly being a fresh go-around of the game/engine, it'll likely still be 30FPS
Fuck me, I want that menu at 60 so bad.
Either way, I actually want to get a copy of this before it sells out, just due to how much of an oddity it is despite it making some sense

I honestly liked it except for the part where you need to read the fucking memos to trigger events, a perfect run ruined for that.

Also was this one with the shitty music? It was so long ago.

Most people know Riviera from the GBA or PSP releases, but it was actually on the Wonderswan Color first.
Bizarrely, the Wonderswan version site is still up.
sting.co.jp/riviera/wsc/index.htm

Attached: Riviera.jpg (500x319, 63K)

Actually, they're starting to branch out into other games (TW101 is gradually becoming playable). TMS is just too fucking niche and obscure for anyone on the team to care which sucks because I skipped on it out of principle after the whole SMTxFE thing burned me hard, but I heard the game was a dumb fun romp with solid combat so I've been itching to try it

How's Scholarship compared to vanilla? I wanted to grab the PS2 version but then I heard Scholarship added new content. Never played it btw

It's not all that expensive these days. Doubly so now that the PS4 version is only $20 new now

The point of emulation is to preserve and be able to play even the most obscure of games. Cemu isn't even open source so we have to rely on some money grubbing douchebags to get anything done

You can't take in game photos in this version either despite Frank always holding his camera

I am mad at Capcom and Konami for their recent rom collections, it is a rip off.

Their PSP collections however were godly, I do not know what happened, I would very much like to support them but separating 20 year old roms in two $20 titles....wtf? Even on Pc, I wanted to buy Megaman collection on the last steam sale but I guess I will just keep emulating them.

Really how hard it is to include the decade old ports or just port the gems collection and have the music tracks in FLAC? That's for me it is something I could see myself paying for.

The quality of a Tiger Electronics game now on GBA.

Speaking of ports, why was the Arcade collection removed from steam? The GoG collection is a fucking tragedy.

Bayo1 is second only to the PC port as it runs better than 360
Bayo2 is massively improved from Wii U, which stands on-par with 360 and PS3.
Dragon's Dogma is also way smoother than even the 360 version

Play Scholarship Edition. It adds quite a lot to the game.

Oh no, I don't mean to defend them. I still think it's shitty they aren't branching out or at least allowing for more people to hop on development. But it's at least somewhat explainable

I wondered how well these titles and RE Outbreak would had been had PS2 shipped with online included like the Xbox did.

Thankfully Socom had an online playerbase despite the add-on.

I really miss Socom.

youtube.com/watch?v=e_BsVfrKWiE

Not that critic opinions really amount to shit but I always found it weird how this port was shat on and received terrible reviews when it came out but nowadays it's considered one of the best versions of RE1. I think REmake already existing had a lot to do with it's poor reception back then.

>Rayman 2 in the Year of Our Lord 2011
>it's mostly an untouched port of the Dreamcast version (honestly the best version, maybe second to PS2)
>but audio is massively bitcrushed
>3D effect outright breaks in some areas given the trash camera
>awkward 16:9 conversion
>game has more bugs than ever
>literally impossible to get the 1000th lum in the Tomb of the Ancients
God I hate that this was the only 3DS game I had for a good few months. Ubisoft is a fuck.
Because REmake was ~$20 back then, and so was PS1 DC, so for $35 Deadly Silence was seen as kind of a ripoff.
Gladly public opinion has re-evaluated.

Attached: file.png (342x307, 289K)

you lose nothing if you play vanilla
the added content is just a few missions which feel forced and a few extra classes, but since you can't gain anything useful by completing them those extra classes just feel like annoying chores
t. played both the PS2 version and Scholarship Edition on Steam

This version has a great easter-egg. When you aim in first-person, its in 3d. After snake loses his eye, the 3d is turned off when you aim

I have seen it on a printer.
Doom is part of human heritage in that, people will keep porting it for decades.

I can see someone in the year 3000 trying to run Doom in a covenant ship.

Yeah I think nowadays people treat RE1 and REmake as two different games. Back then REmake was more or less just treated as making the original obsolete.

>said no one ever about REDS

but Outbreak and Outbreak File #2 were playable online, and still are

The cod games on the DS were surprisingly fun little games, the only really shitty one was the modern warfare 3 port, which while definitely pushed the DS to its limits, reused a lot of assets from black ops. So you had cold war era soviet soldiers attacking the US national guard dressed as Vietnam war US marines

It's honestly surprised how well it ran.

Like the Game.com port of 2 was goddamn magic, along with the port of 2 to GBA and 1 to the original Gameboy/Color. But holy shit did the DS run this well.

This, the worst port ever

Nice

What the fuck? I played this thing on ps4 at a friend's and the thing ran like shit, how the fuck does it work on switch?

Can't speak on the PS3 release, but I downloaded the Wii U version and the gamepad functionality actually isn't bad, though it's kind of par for the course. You can switch between a map display and a stripped down version of the start menu. Inventory and emails are accessible, but settings aren't, you'll have to pause for those.

You're better off emulating the ps2 versions desu, especially if you can't read moonrunes. Shame nobody's gonna translate either version, though.

How the fuck do make a single PS2 game 9 gigabytes?

the guy who ported it to DOS eventually went on to make Paranormal Activity

the arcade collection was GFWL only

It probably has higher quality textures and some new visual effects.

There are some extra power-ups like the hammer from Donkey Kong and wings that let you swim in the air.

Is this shit best played on psp or ds? talking about pc emulation.

Speaking of Sega games on the NES, here's After Burner 2 of all things

youtube.com/watch?v=9xdT2nVpm6A

And to think that and the Commodore 64 port were the only ports for years.

No its the exact same version as the PS3/4 version, which was 5 GB

IT GOT FUCKING FIXED ANONS

It's the best version of MGS1, if you don't mind missing out some of Mantis' dialog shenanigans.

unironically the worse game I have ever played. love the console versions though.

It's was remade ground up to be full 3D. The original had pre-rendered environments. Had tons of added wierd shit like tocuh controls and 1st person view.

Bullfrog did this port. So you can unlock a Horned Reaper model to play as

was wildly angry when i bought resident evil 1 and zero for ps4 just to relive some old memories and realized they didnt put in an option to skip doors

Same shit, it's the integral version, and all the vr missions content is also unlocked from the start (so you can take pics of Mei Ling and Naomi out of the box). you only miss Mantis' control and memory card gimmicks.

the hardest version of doom because they only ported over the front-facing versions of all the enemy sprites

fuck this game, this shit almost destroyed my hand

>RE1 DS
Many reasons.
Updated knife mechanics, some stuff being uncensored but other stuff (like the opening) not, the original music instead of the DC music, the weird gimmick mode, the fact that this was the last port RE1 got and hasn't gotten an actual port for anything since.
>RE2 N64
RE2 logically should not have fit on an N64 cartridge. The game was two discs, loaded with music, detailed backgrounds, FMVs (a lot of them lasting a long amount of time), a whole extra game mode with two extra playable characters, and 4 different campaigns.
They cut a lot of corners to make it fit, like using one FMV for both sets of credits, one FMV for Annette's explanation (the Claire FMV of course), giving you the lowest quality audio possible, and many other things.
Another weird thing is the EX Files and the Randomizer, both exclusive to this release.

Only released in Europe

Attached: 1537877401280.png (800x1138, 1.5M)

The PS4 version is the port though

The funny thing about RE2-64 is that it actually has the best in-game sound of all the releases, supporting Dolby

I wish we fucking got this back when it released. It would sell practically nothing in the West since it was on the Wii U but it would've made mine still feel worthwhile.

I've always wanted to try this cause there's a ton of interesting differences. From what I remember in screenshots and videos, you could fight the old lady's zombified dog from the beginning of the game which never happened in the original.

I probably would've bought it.
I'd had a passing interest in Yakuza, but no way to play anything in the series until I got a PS4.

Resident Evil Deadly Silence might be my favorite version of RE 1. I even bought a 3DS to play it.

Attached: 1469506042088.jpg (937x985, 232K)

poke jills butt

It had a bunch of unique standard zombies like that since they couldn't put nearly as much on screen as the 360. I remember big fat zombies, the veteran guy coming back and the camera dude as normal zombies that would show up everywhere after certain points. It was fucking weird to play compared to the original.

Imagine if Dead Rising was turned into Resident Evil 4 with the guns and all plus the upgrades.

I would do this often. Japan had to put this in. What a great Easter egg I love how you can touch Chris butt or mess with his hair too

>being able to make camo of real pics
we dont deserve this game

This is the sequel to 2013.

I actually own a day one 360 copy

Played this all the time since I didn't know you could emulate arcades.

Yeah I remember this one, iirc the last boss was a griffin or some shit like that, and you could connect the gba and cube together and get some bonuses for the gamecube game

Chinese Gun Survivor for PC, very low quality and bugged though, finding a download nowadays is almost impossible.
I never understood why Capcom didn't make a proper one, makes no sense since the game is first person and all.

Attached: 300px-Resident_Evil_Survivor_-_cover.jpg (300x421, 18K)

I legit didn't know that but knew about Megaman 64.

Thats not as wierd as the gba port

How is that "weird"?

Aria of Sorrow for java phones, was my first contact with the game, years played the GBA version and was surprised how little was missing from the map actually.

Attached: Castlevania-AriaofSorrow_2.gif (176x208, 12K)

Huh, that's neat. How well did it play?

Whats the best version?

I had that. It wasn't weird at all, besides the bosses being in first person. Honestly I kind of liked it that way, felt a bit more like a boss fight than just another annoying encounter when you had to learn to fight them.

Wait, why the fuck Nintendo authorized PC-88 ports but not DOS?

I actually wanted to know how was it, thanks.

fucking awful taste

I had the GBC version, combat was very strange, you got teleported to another map to shoot stuff randomly.

Why GBA has so many ports/demakes?

It was definitely slower because of the low fps, but pretty much the same with every enemy having much less frames of animation, hell even the flying power is in.

>SMT I and II are ports of the GBA with ps1 music
>SMT If... port is the PS1 version
>official release of 1 in english was for iOS only
>can't even play it anymore
Fucking Atlus holy shit

Attached: 1564096277137.gif (236x250, 1.47M)

Because Internet was relatively new, the GBA was relatively new, and a whole fucking shitton of games people had their eyes on were being released in the early to mid 2000's. Kids that were interested in Spiderman 3 could buy that shit on GBA thinking it would be the exact same as the PS2 or PS3 version. Name and brand recognition is the reason.

Forgot pic

Listen, this is the same company that didn't even release SMT I & II in english after SMT IV was released. If they weren't going to do it then, you could bet your ass that it was either a IOS port, or nothing at all. Oddly enough, Dragon Quest gets more recognition in that regard, even if it took longer.

RE on DS isn't weird. It's cool.
Resident Evil 1 on Gameboy Color and Resident Evil 2 on Game.com are the weird ones.

>not the best version of classic RE1

Correct, it needs Advanced mode

guarantee you're autistic on some diagnosable level

That weird ghost rider game on the gba that was a port of a ps2 game

It works, but the mouse is inverted, and you can't change it unless you recompile the .iso

its because of nintendos reputation as being 'childrens consoles' devs don't try with their ports because the general notion still in this day and age that only children play nintendo consoles and games combined with their reputation of having 'low spec hardware'
like For reference the Developers that Did the Terraria 3DS port Originally said in a Forum post that that version of the Game was butchered was because "the 3DS is less powerful than the weakest smartphone" then quietly removed that line from the post when people pointed out how wrong they were

The 3DS on paper isn't that weak, but in actuality shit just outpaced it, mobile phones in particular made the 3DS and vita irrelephant within 2 years of their releases.

Also Mega Man X had a DOS port with adlib FM music. And the PC version of MMX7 was only released in South Korea

>Phantasy Star III is the "who the fuck cares" game of the series
>Include it instead of fan favorite IV

Attached: 2217319-phantasy_star_collection.jpg (320x320, 53K)

Some random 1985 ZX Spectrum ninja sidescroller made by one guy has a Switch remaster that includes not only the original and Commodore 64 versions, but a fuckload of new content, and yet it has pretty bad reviews from what I've seen.

My favorite thing is these two blurbs right next to each other on the eShop page:
>Over 10 hours of gameplay
>5 times bigger than the original version

Attached: H2x1_NSwitchDS_Saboteur_image1600w[1].jpg (1600x800, 159K)

>Replaces detailed sprite backgrounds of the Eternal releases with fugly ass early PS1 3D environments.
>Adds a dedicated spammable attack button to what has always been "Bumper Cars: The Game"
>Throws in some completely pointless filler dungeon after Nygtilger that adds nothing to the game, and can be summed up as "The fortune teller ran off to this place. After searching the place she is nowhere to be found. Now go back to her house and back to your regularly scheduled plot."
>Some fucking bizarre ass enemy resizing, so now some monsters that were the same height as Adol in every other version are now giant for no reason.

Attached: 51ApAEjFaDL._AC_SX215_.jpg (215x193, 11K)

Is there any collection that includes all 4?

I'ms till confused that Downpour never made it to PC, it's the only SH I've never played.

Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection on PS3/360 had them all.

Attached: rolf.png (500x477, 136K)

PS3 release was great. 60 FPS, fixed gameplay (lock-on in first one, added ability to manage items at phone booth in both game) and few neat additions (like flying baseball balls during first Majima fight). And it had pretty good textures even for PS2 games.
It's was a great HD port that SEGA didn't bring to us because at the time Yakuza wasn't popular and latest release (Dead Souls) was a failure. So instead they made Wii U version with worse textures and draw distance. It sold like shit.

This is unironically the best version gameplay-wise because of the revamped gameplay and controls if you have the second stick. Too bad it runs at 20 fps.
We really need a definitive version of MGS3 with 3DS gameplay and 60 fps.

Pretty much every PC "port" of a spongebob game, they're basically completely different versions of the games because the companies hired to port them were so lazy that they felt it was easy to make a shitty shovelware version of the games instead of actually trying to port them, they even remade the fucking cutscenes for some reason
youtube.com/watch?v=hDtzzeL0TrA&list=PLIQkAHrM2b8NFmoSXyhsWxHRpPyryDn71&index=2

It really was a weird port but it was one of those ports that turned out to be weird but good.

>Black

The best Persona game and its literally only on dead console

Attached: 3eee2f4f-63aa-4c47-b5cd-dc7621d70d1d.jpg (1163x1476, 391K)

The Wii U really was a shitty console. I haven't heard of a single good port for it and the 1st party games are very minuscule.

Same. I dig it

just enthusiastic about something weird from my childhood you sad little man

>PC
>Dead console

>t. Absolutely seeding zoomlet

For starters is has Need for Speed Most Wanted, which is the best version of the game. Also the launch game ZombiU was ported out without the gamepad gimmick making all those versions inferior.

Lastly it has more first party games than Sony and Microsoft combined who did nothing but kick back and let the GTAV and FIFA royalties accrue on PS4 and Xbone.

Speaking of Wii U: Wii Sports Club, which is a modified version of Wii Sports with better controls and gimmicks.

???
Persona 4 Golden is only available on Vita, user.

But Golden is an inferior version of P4, the actual best Persona game, which can be emulated on PC.

That one useless Tsundere character can easily be ignored. More SoL and other stuff makes Golden the best version of 4.

The additional SoL ruins the pacing and atmosphere of the original. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Persona without SoL stuff is just a classic SMT games user.

Bruh PS2 emulation is trash

There's already SoL in the original but it's balanced with the increasing tension as the months tick by, culminating with the fog rolling in 24/7.

how do you change it?

Not enough SoL in vanilla though.

PSP version has a secret 3rd heroine if you have a save file of Yggdra Union on your PSP, but the game was clearly made with the DS touchscreen controls as the focus in mind (in the PSP version, the analog takes the place of the touchscreen controls). I'd say DS but if you're emulating, it doesn't really matter since the 3rd heroine really isnt worth it if you werent aware of Yggdra Union in the first place.

>weird ports
any pc fps/rts on console

Plants vs Zombies DS

Attached: plantsvszombies.jpg (640x575, 72K)

Literally any PC from 2015 can emulate PS2 properly now

There's a metric fuckton of SoL in vanilla though, from the girls physically abusing Kanji to the point of concussion to everyone getting fake-drunk with Naoto.

>get GBC for Christmas
>expect a Pokemon game with it
>get this and Donkey Kong Country
This game is ass.

This was my first street fighter title I ever played.

But theres more of SoL stuff in golden like Ski Trip, beach trip, new year event, valentine day, etc.
Its worth it.

>now when asked about Yakuza on the Switch, they producers say they don't think the game is a right fit for the system, but maybe the Xbox One, which is doing 3 digits a week
Well, i guess i'll wait until they're deadly cheap on the PS4 in a few years and pick them up.

>works on my machine

My ryzen 1600x can emulate any PS2 games without breaking a sweat.

But the point is that that additional SoL is too much SoL, it already had the correct amount of SoL needed to have those lighthearted moments while still ratcheting up the tension and atmosphere in later months. It's harmful to the pacing of the game to add more, especially where it was added in Golden. Golden is trash, it will always be trash, and that's a simple fact. It adds nothing of value and is overall a worse product than the original.

There will be never enough SoL in any Persona games.
Go back to your SMT threads.

have you tried running more than the most popular 3 games?

PS3 versions were fantastic. Runs well and looks decent.
I got into the series with those.

MGS 3 ?
Solid 30fps without breaking a sweat (normal CPU temp)

>>>>>>>>>>>more than
try running kuon or barnyard

Not that guy but I emulate SEGA PS2 games. I also use the Retrobit USB transparent blue Sega controller. 100% comfy.

Pic related and SH2
Weird how Konami didn't port SH3
I think they stated that because SH3 is related to SH1 storywise and Xbox never got SH1 (obv) that there was no reason to port the game which I think is stupid but w/e

Attached: 1552561043316.png (800x1152, 1.44M)

Just upgrade your PC, user. And why i would want to play Barnyard ?

My favourite part about this, is there's still a 30 min long cutscene at the start

Attached: Mggb.jpg (500x500, 65K)

Played this in a dark car on a road trip with the family when I was a young teen, nearly shat myself when the dogs burst through that fuckin window

MGS2 had a pc port too

Not a port.
