It's my headcanon that each of the 3 main games' Huitzils are different individual units. Which explains why his moveset and animations change so much. The canon story is always that only one Huitzil is active, but if you look at how the story plays out, you can still abide that. First of all Darkstalkers 1 is no longer canon, and is a parallel storywise to Night Warriors. So you can just say that in the what-if world of DS1, it was a different Huitzil that woke up from the one in Night Warriors. In his ending sequence of both Darkstalkers 1 and Night Warriors, he goes back into hibernation, so at that point they're all asleep again. So it's some time after that that Cecil stumbles into the ruins and wakes up yet another different Huitzil, which is the one that then fights alongside him in the versions of Vampire Savior where he's present.
