Im playing classic ironman on 1 now, any tips? Its going okay, 3 missions lost only 2 dudes and am going into the first council rescue mission on the bridge

If ur playing chosen, do not fuck around with retaliation and lost missions unless you have the between the eyes order.

Im playing Xcom1. 2 i havent finished but seems loaded with premade missions and is really railroady for a guy like me who likes to ironman

For xcom 1 i would say use line of sight to stealth pods so you dont overwhelm yourself but that might be common sense, xcom 2 has a couple of railroad missions. Like around 4 it isnt as bad due to the maps being procedurally generated compared to xcom 1 maps

im trying, my game locked up on a loading screen 3 times and i cant be bothered to try again
if only long war of the chosen existed i wouldnt have to try to make it good with 250+ mods

Okay wtf this game is retarded, I've played it time and time again but you really just can't fucking hit anything, the RNG is unbearable. Am I supposed to only overwatch, I have to use grenades and explosives for everything, its really not that fun. You hit maybe 3 shots every round, otherwise you have to make up some alternative shit. What the fuck guys, what do I do besides stop playing?

You need that ruler movement mod, basically making movement and free actions non triggerable to the ruler. Its ridiculous
