no. there's plenty of lore, fun npcs, some good quests, but it's heavily combat focused and you can't avoid that. the talk skills can get you out of the odd scrap or a more favourable quest outcome, but you need to be able to fight and frankly have to enjoy the game's combat.

psionics opens up some lore, too.

dominating is the autismo mode for supreme min maxing. I recall reading the dev didn't even bother playing it all the way to see if it was doable.

For what it's worth, normal in this game so far feels like hard in other games. It's a pretty good difficulty early on. I don't know if it just becomes super easy later on, but most CRPGs are like that.

knives are more reliable, but with luck a machete is far better
recklessness, weaponsmith, opportunist, sprint, trigger happy, flurry (if machete), cheap shots, expose weakness, ripper, onslaught (machete), decapitate (machete), parry, riposte (machete only?), critical power, cut-throat (if knife), nimble, maybe expertise (if knife), maybe interloper, crippling strike (if knife), quick tinkering is always good, psycho temporal acceleration, fancy footwork (if knife, optional machete), blitz, blindsiding, increased dexterity

if you want to go the bleed route with knives/swords, then taste for blood and eviscerate

that's about all I can think of
maybe fatal throw, grenadier, and three-pointer if you have high throwing and have the room

135 sounds like too much and the bonuses don't seem that hot to be honest. Aegis is pretty nice and will practically make me invincible considering I also am using Metal Armor. Should I also stop leveling Tailoring somewhere down the line?

Go out of Rail Crossing, keep going until you're on the screen with the three way intersection and train tracks. That screen has three exits to the left, on the north platform, on train tracks, or on the south platform. Stand on the south platform and go left until you find a bunch of bandits, then go up and to the left twice.

Why would I care about that? Once the normal burrowers are dead a couple shots of Electrokinesis will finish the spawn off.

I usually pick up stuff like grenade, molotov, and repair kit blueprints right after the first quest, then the weapon blueprints before or after GMS depending on if I can find the materials in SGS. crafted stuff is usually cheaper and better, so no reason not to go for it as soon as possible.

If you manage to get a 160 vest, you need 128 tailoring to use it on a suit of metal armor. Also, a 160 black cloth requires 128 tailoring as well. So you can make a balaclava, tabi, and leather armor for sneaking with 0 points in stealth.

dude you don't need all that psi shit. It's mega useless. I go just 3 trees and i almost never use psychokinesis. Literally temporal manipulation + thought control is all you need later in the game to beat everything. i occasionally use force field against death stalkers or crawlers but you can also just use flares and have 10 con and you're chill. Only problem i have about trying 2 tree run is early game before you get all your cc from thought conrol a temporal manipulation. otherwise just distort everybody to shreds and dilate everybody so they can't do shit. I also thought about build with more dex so you hit flashbang every time cuz it's super important part. Flashbang huge group and just stack distortion on everybody.

Above ground there are some closed warehouse-like gates with electronic locks next to them.

I don't get the universal praise dovos2 gets. Pacing is fucking horrible, rpg elements while having a decent basis hampered into oblivion by arpg rng loot, qol is nonexistent even in a definitive edition, plot kinda decent but delivery is very hit and miss, combat is very messy and gets old by the end of reaper's coast, if not fort joy.

What do you guys think should be put into a psi headband? I was thinking muffler and crit damage, but the thought of buffing one of the individual skills doesn't sound too bad either.

You won't be able to do it fast enough, hives start pumping locuts out as soon as you start shooting at them.

Besides the mega initiative increase having max agility gives you, blitz is a nice last resort if you're a melee fighter or a decent alpha strike buff.

+ to all skills, crit chance, crit damage is what i wear. If you are playing psychosis it might be better to get cost reduction instead of crit chance.

Blitz is good, it's just not some kind of holy grail you absolutely must have like some people say. 20 AP is nice, very nice on some builds, but not always worth so many MPs, 10 AGI and a feat.

You can use persuasion of like 30 or 10 with heartbeaker armor and boots to give you +20 persuasion to avoid using stealth or craft some stealth gear and do it that way

You can do 15 stacks with tranq+spec, blitz, psi haste and adrenaline shot at least.
13 AP per cast.
Turn 1: 50 base+20 psi haste+20 adrenaline+20 blitz = 8 casts+1 from premediation.
Turn 2: you have 90 ap which is 1 ap short of 8 casts, feels bad...

Stealthy, crossbow wielding trapper is a lot of fun in my opinion. Every encounter you get to scout ahead, then lay a whole killing field of traps before sniping and stunning some poor sap with a shock bolt.

if you aren't taking skillpoints for crafting then you should be swimming in extra points, just getting the 20 effective points needed for them can't be that hard and it would make the fight much easier and won't require the massive trap spam, and it's not like gas grenades are not useful for other fights

if you went psi without con what would you take to dominate everyting without savescumming on hard? i just recently figured out that you can start combat by yourself if you see enemy kinda helped me with the initiative problem. you're right that they're not light weapons. you'd still want a decent base of dex for perks and also if you aren't pumping strength you need a high dex simply to scale your melee well.
the extra crit chance is nice as well, swords want every single point of crit they can get.

It's perfect if you're going for an Ali kind of fist puncher. You float like a butterfly and sting like a fucking AR. You can swap three agility for CON or to max out strength or dex. You don't really need to have blitz but the bonus initiative and alpha strike is just too good for me.

You don't need Yngvar's help to find shard. There is a cenotaph at the northwestern village with required rune and Ferryman tells you in which body part the Shart is . Also, I found it by checking each corpse until I found the big guy.

it works well if you have that perk where u can make stronger energy shields. As the energy shield can be really tanky.

a gun build has a weak start, don't let that discourage you however. also the shotgun is not worth it if you meet the persuasion check. you'll blow through all your shells and buying more is too costly early game. you'll see what I mean when you get started, even if you're not even doing a gun build.

I go with Praetorian just to have another person to sell guns to. Guns are the most abundant loot in the game and only 4 fucking NPCs ever buy them.

I've already beaten the game before and was able to befriend the faceless even after killing them at rail crossing. I guess there's a non-hostile way to finish the mission? I know about the tunnel, I just thought taking out the faceless would be easier than fighting 20 burrower spawns hitting 5 4-10s per turn.

that's not the problem, if you are going to be depending on your shield/not getting hit, then why would you take CON in the first place, the point is that the 30% crit chance is not worth all the points you need on CON that could be used for other much needed attributes that will eventually lead to more damage/utility than 30% crit chance (this is not even counting things that can pierce your shields)

You can skip it completely if you get the bloody computer at upper underrail and then talk to the foundry faceless

The only real flaw is is the constant entanglement but that can be solved with escape artist.

Most of acid pistols are beast

acid pistols are just badass normally, though that one is a massive step up from the base pistols. but the base pistols with a the advanced belt and related feats fucking dominate as well
