Is this game shit or nah? Was looking at picking it up in the ps4 eu sale

The game is nothing more than running in circles, holding down the left mouse button for extended periods of time and wondering why you're not playing something fun instead. The killer side isn't much better, unless a walking simulator with a basic attack and one special attack excites you.

Unless you're willing to go through a 100 hour grind to unlock essential perks, no. You get matched against people with maxed out characters and abilities, while you're level 1 who has nothing. People will make fun of you for that and they will harass you outside of the game just to take another dump on the low winning chance you already had.

The game is ok, heavily imbalanced in certain aspects, can be pretty fun when it works. The gameplay itself though isn't deep at all, the highest skill you can have is running around some rocks for a while and clicking the safety net button before moving onto another pile of rocks with another safety net there. Unfortunately stealth and mindgames were bred out of the game as the community figured out it wasn't optimal at all.

The community is shit. Pure, unadulterated garbage. Nobody plays this game to have fun, they play to make everybody else that's not them as miserable as they possibly can, and this mindset is perpetuated by all the popular streamers and youtubers surrounding it, everybody is an asshole because that's what this game is about in their mind. While nothing can get as bad as Left 4 Dead's community, this game manages to get very close, as much as you say this doesn't affect you, it will after a while, I'd strongly advise you to stay away because then you're left with the frustration of a nice game ruined by its playerbase, at which point you either move on or are too addicted to do so and now your time is spent being mad and perpetuating the idea that your fun comes at making others more mad than you are right now.

Depends on if you're playing Killer or Survivor. You can just level Meg and be fine in 9/10 games.

jesus, I play overwatch. how is it in comparison?

Considering that DBD isn't moderated at all outside of hacking, the community is far better than the safe-space whores that populate OW.

I'll be playing it on PS4, so no matter what, I'm viable for having my account shut down.

Not much different. The mentally ill really take to these games like flies to shit. It's like a parody of tumblr.

Playing DBD on console is shit to begin with so I'd avoid it. It's fun on PC, but console tends to be a laggy mess with weird as fuck bugs and a bizarro world tier list.
