What's the point in a cosmetic if all they mean is u paid money for it? I agree with this. I mostly play fighting games but a stun mechanic is so fucking stupid. Especially long combos are also really boring to sit through, but only if they are easy to do. Hard combos I can at least appreciate the skill that goes into doing them.

Y'know, I half agree with you. My issue with buyable cosmetics is more with the fact that they aren't any more showy or flashy than an otherwise "free" one. Oftentimes they're literal recolors and palette swaps that just serve to show how lazy the devs are, and the more insulting ones are when they stick an accessory onto a normal frame and call it a "skin" and have the nerve to charge money for it.

This particular Skin (which is unreasonably expensive to boot) comes packed with new animations, new models, new textures, new sfx, new songs, and different voice lines to emphasize what it is. The skeleton may be similar, but it's been so warped that it feels like a genuinely new character, and it has three fucking forms. I would never spend the asking price for this particular skin (just because I know how much it costs) but if you're going to charge me for a skin, at least put some effort into making it look like something unique or memorable. Not just a goddamn color switch with a different mask.

Imagine being such a pleb. Turn-based isn't a trend, either. If anything it's making a comeback which is something I quite enjoy. I grew up playing turn-based CRPG's, tactical games, and stuff like that. All I want now is an HD remaster of Silent Storm.

As far as trends I can't stand, it'd be battle royale since it's a retarded version of king of the hill for casuals. A trend I also hated was games aping of Minecraft because I didn't like that game either and in shit like Fallout 4 it was implemented in the dumbest fucking way, which is one of the myriad of reasons as to why I don't like that game.

The biggest trend that I don't like is every company thinking they need their own launcher nowadays. The rise in everyone and their mother pushing their own platform directly corresponds to the rise in game piracy. People don't like being inconvenienced and what's worse is when faggots like Ubisoft still sell their games on other platforms but have you still use theirs to launch it THROUGH another platform like Steam. What's worse yet is assholes like Ebin being owned by Tencent who sells all your info to China.

Another trend I've disliked, while not video games, is e-celeb threads on Yea Forums.
