Why do gamers hate California so much?

I'm Californian, and it's mainly because there's a large concentration of both entertainment industries and "progressives" here (SJWs, democrats, etc.). This means these groups tend to push their social and political agendas in entertainment, which generally comes off as annoying to anyone not drinking as much of the kool-aid as them. While some folks would have you believe it's the whole state, it's more the fact that the two major urban areas of the San Francisco/Bay Area and Los Angeles are essentially echo chambers.

California is only worth living in if you're obscenely rich and live in a million dollar house around the San Francisco area or L.A. area. Because that's where all the action happens.

If you live anywhere else, it's awful. It's all impoverished, brown, and all of the fun arcades from my childhood are long gone. Perhaps that could be said of most states in the U.S. , but the difference is that you're still paying a premium to be surrounded by brown people and having nothing to do.

It might be hard to believe, but there are a lot less of those types of people in real life and most are a lot less obnoxious in person. I think Yea Forums has such a negative opinion of these "other" groups because they mainly are exposed to them online where it's easier to find them and they're a lot more vocal. I mean, Twitter pretty much turns everyone into a retard from what I've seen, and just think of how many degenerates on this website manage to pretend to be normal people IRL.

There are more conservatives here than most people believe. Between all the rich and upper middle class people in the urban/suburban areas and the farmers/rednecks in the central valley and far north of the state, there's a decent chunk of Republicans. Hell, a lot of the Mexicans and Latinos here make the state more conservative. Like I said, most people make the mistake of thinking San Francisco/L.A. = California.

California has a lot of farmland and rural areas, those tend to be very right wing. If you look at voting patterns and counties about half of CA votes Republican in any given election.
SF and LA are the most populous regions and have the most sway. On top of that CA is known for its university systems. All those college towns lean left as well.
The further you get into the suburbs the more likely you are to find people who lean right. Problem is they are hesitant to be vocal due to the constant threat of having their lives ruined by insane feminists. My hometown is on the outskirts of the Bay Area and has plenty of right wingers. To find them look for homeowners with steady jobs.

It's like that for anything regarding America, with New York fighting for #1. What else are flyover states supposed to do in their spare time

California is 3 to 4 hours behind the civilized world depending on who you ask, but everyone needs to bend backward to give them the opportunity to catch up on things like release dates.

I lived in San Francisco for 20 years since birth and moved to a "flyover" state when I turned 21. My life is so much better. Beautiful scenery, blue skies, beautiful town with with great looking white people all around. Everything seems very civilized. It's also easy living, you don't have to work too hard or make too much money to have a house.

When I see a Californian brag about the economy of the state, they are bragging about rich people's pockets while struggling to make a living. Californians are a bunch of fools.
