Learn how to read the map AND play with your team, all other necessary callouts are easily made by either you or anyone else with no less than 10 lines for an entire 40-50 minute match
The real issue with these games is that they're too afraid of straight up telling you you're either shit or getting carried because they hook you on blaming everyone else except yourself

You absolutely could, just not with all supports. If you play support you can't even remotely play them passively, you have to be very active and basically work full-time every moment helping your team in some way.
Also it's not just about how you play, but you need to actively manage your team and be good at defusing potentially bad situations.
