Shit combat
The problem whit the game is the boring long trips and money is just for cosmetics
Games decent but had a shit start so it's all people will remember it for. Most are probably unaware of the additional content.
Played for 2-3 hours with the xbox pass on pc, was comfy to sail the seas but the fetch quests were boring.
Nothing went wrong and the Anniversary Update was awesome.
>accept voyage
>go to landmark
>complete objective
>sell loot
>go to skull cloud outpost
>complete horde waves
>sell loot
>ignore big shark with scary music
>push through kraken
>ignore pvp unless forced to engage at skull cloud outpost
>repeat until max ranks
If your crew/friends aren't keeping you entertained it is snooze.
Everything on that list should be on Shit Tier
I can't even begin to describe my contempt for this game. It is a monolith of bad AAA development, completely vapid from design to execution. It is the digital equivalent of a Pirate-themed gift shop you'd find at Sea World, reminding you of its fantastical inspirations constantly, but aspiring towards none of them. SoT is a very cynical product beneath the stylized surface. Perhaps most egregious is that it's selling an idea rather than a game. "Make your own fun" in a game with nothing to do, as it doesn't even offer the width of an ocean. At least you have bagpipes, right? That'll make for an epic streamer moment.
On top of this, it was the most shilled game of all time, spawning massive swathes of astroturfers and paid accounts.
>D-Don't worry guys! The beta isn't everything in the full game!!!
>Full game comes out
>It really was everything
>open world game
>give the players nothing to do
The game is great, its just adhd faggots who think a game has to be over the top for every second of gameplay that don't like it. And that's fine with me, don't like it don't play it. The game appeals to a niche of players who enjoy calm sailing on the waves with bumps of excitement in between.
The content updates have also been nothing but great.
What's Yea Forums opinion on crossplay opt out? Is is just an excuse for xbox players to have so they don't admit they are bad, or there is genuine justification from segregating two different control imputs?
People who say its hard to aim with a controller are dogshit at games. Crossppay is always a good thing, opting out of it puts you in a dead server.
CAPTAIN
I can kinda see where they were going with combat so that new players couldn't get ganged up on by older ones but it really gave the game. Nothing to look forward too and not to mention com at is shallow and buggy
Does it has FOV slider on pc?
Its rarely entertaining
*Also on PC
I disagree. Watch a neebs gaming video
Honestly, crossplay isn't a bad thing if microsoft and sony 100% allow mouse and keyboard support for the games on xbox/playstation. But consolefags will always keep their panties in a knot about their shitty controllers.
a lot of people like to meme that "oh but it's filled with content now" you do each activity once and you've experienced it all, the only somewhat varied pve content is tall tales but even that ain't that great that excuses a purchase. voyages are still a joke, when they said they were gonna make quests with actual story i thought they meant they were gonna revamp the whole voyage system but no, that's still ass, all enemies are EXTREMELY easy to fight, both sea and land, especially if you got a crew that cooperates and knows what the fuck they're doing (not that it's hard to because the game ain't complicated at all)
in other words, if you enjoy going around shitting on people's day and taking their shit (if they have any) then you'll have fun, outside of that you might as well watch a youtube vid because it's still shallow as a puddle
I understand if it was arena only, but for adventure mode? really? most retards on pc can't aim anyway plus it's not like combat is unavoidable, if i'm doing a quest or have loot, unless i'm not paying attention to what's around me, i never get jumped, it's extremely easy to get away from people
its fun with friends
