When does it ask you if you want corruption or Crimson in your world? I ALWAYS get crimson.
It's kinda scummy but I have a main large world, and then I make a bunch of small worlds and ransack their tiny jungles for treasure until I get the ivy whip, then I go back to my big world and play. I cannot live without my three prong grappling hook.

I have never encountered it before but I think I saw in a loading screen it's not insta-death unless you are falling when she does it.

I think Crimson has better accessories but the Orb of Light is just too good to let go.
