why would i simulate my own life

why simulate it when I'm doing it in real life?

Is the manga good and worth reading?
I only ever saw the anime.

I only read a bit of the novel aside from watching the anime, but it's my understanding that both the manga and LN are darker than the anime, which sounds like it would reflect better on the story to me, because while I did like it, the stuff with Misaki didn't really convey the message it was trying to in my eyes in the anime.

She’s cute. Funny. Completely devoted to the main character. She’s manipulative but supportive. She comes off as innocent but also creepy. There’s a fun dichotomy to her. Her goal of “curing” Sato is so absurd and out of nowhere it begs the question as to why. Her being an obsessive stalker to the main character who is completely paranoid and conspiracy driven is hilarious. It’s obvious to the viewer something is up. She’s also the only woman in the show who is trying to manipulate Sato into something better rather than committing suicide or joining pyramid schemes. She’s a creep but has a good heart. At the end of the show she ultimately comes to terms with why she is acting this way.

tatsuhiko released novel and ost last year called "light novel" in case you're interested in what he's been up to
