this with modded 2B huge oily ass
I’m surprised there hasn’t been a Nier crossover yet tbqh. 2B layered armour seems like the most obvious thing, and they’re clearly on good terms with Squeenix because of the FFXIV collab.

Hey pornposters, I just hit HR49 after killing the Tempered Bombers. How should I prep for this horse that is apparently the gatekeeping monster? Is this the point I can start getting augments or is that after the retard horse?
If you fought it in LR, just use the mantle you got and the time mantle you should have and it's braindead easy.
Have you gotten the thunder mantle yet? You have to do the low rank capture quests, ending in a low rank Kirin hunt. That's basically all you need to be ready. And common sense to not stand in the big glowing blue spots.
You already can, and kirin is the easiest monster in the game don't be a retard
as always, get a tank setup to familiarize the moveset
thunder resist gem as much as you can, thunderproof mantle should do it
suddently i don't regret making an huntress
Okay, sounds good. I'll go back and do the low rank version since I skipped that and a bunch of other quests. I have a huge optional backlog to clear out.
The best part is that it's the exact same difficulty up to AT kirin, so if you get it down as tempered it's really the best way to farm streamstones.
I hope this little nigga gets a more formidable sub
They give him Kushalsa's wind pressure.
Hopefully a water sub. Hopefully not a fire one.
Say hello to Iceborne’s first collab fight.
It would be unironically fun.

GIVE ME THE HAMMER YOU BITCH
Why does he always look so fucking intense? This man is never happy unless he's watching some thigh showing slut beat the shit out of wildlife with a massive hammer.
His reaction to Sonicfox at the VGAs gets me every time.
He's the embodiment of GRUG, of course he's intense and disgusted by fags
His dad is the founder of Capcom and his brother the current CEO. If World had of flopped it would bring great shame upon his family. Being head of the Monster Hunter brand and team must be stressful given how much is at stake for him personally.
I honestly hate fighting games for the autism they attract. Why is it that they attract autists, furfags, and trannies?
>This man is never happy unless he's watching some thigh showing slut beat the shit out of wildlife with a massive hammer.
Literally me. That's how you know monhun is in good hands.
Every moment not hitting monster with hammer is like picking berries. Grug no like berry.
Because organisers refuse to put their foot down and tell those people to fuck off.
>This man is never happy unless he's watching some thigh showing slut beat the shit out of wildlife with a massive hammer
Bless this man.
>Ryozo misses Glavenut's head because of random sliding
Kek MHW is so bad
Ryozo is in charge of fighting games at Capcom you'll have to like them now
I thought his uncle is the current CEO?
Slopes were a mistake
Looks like they’re improving the weapon design situation
I have not, and will never enjoy the autism that are fighting games. Stupid shit should've been phased out years ago.
Why would they tell their target audience to fuck off
Name a more pathetic monster
same reason why they told ninty to fuck off with World
I fucking hate that shit so much. You run over a fucking random pebble and the game decides that it counts a slope.
And the actual slope doesn't count for that one time you actually want to slide
Fuck off with your pathetic console war baiting.
Quick question, I havent been following iceborne: have they fixed the empty hub situation yet? Will we get anons running around like before or what's the deal
I think it's the same deal as in the base game. Empty main hub area and separated multiplayer area where you can see people.
Atleast this time both have the same facilities
there should be more people in the guild hub if we go by the qol's they've shown in the dev diary 1
>smithy, invests npc and the likes all present in the multi hub
>facilities like onsen can be accessed by multi
bing
I haven't played in over a year and forgot how some weapons work, what are some absolute MUST have skills for bow? Something you can get without decos.
for you? health boost 3 and defense 7 shitter LMOA
yeah there's pretty much zero reasons to hang around in the normal hub if you play multiplayer.
I'll start giving a fuck about Iceborne when they announce PC release date.
Or maybe I won't, because fuck timed exclusivity.
God I hope so. In the base game there is literally no reason to go to the guild hub. It's especially anoying when playing with friends, we rarely ever see each other.
Did Glavenus always heat up his throat at the same time as when he sharpens his tail? That actions flowed into one another pretty smoothly, they might have combined the two into one move
youtube.com
got a treat for ya m8o
the good stuffs about guild hub starts at 2:00
get something with crit element, rath set is pretty good
Thanks user, you made me cum bricks
I sure am glad I’ll never have to deal with Astera again
I hope in the story Astera gets fucking leveled
Eh, based on interview he actually surprised World is the biggest Capcom title ever.
How much content is there even in the DLC?
It’d be cool if in a sequel they have an expanded Ancient Forest where Astera is fucking destroyed and reclaimed by nature.
NOTHING compared to a real MonHun game like GU
thats what i assumed. NO BUY
They say it’s almost the same as the base game, but a lot of that is likely Master Rank versions of all the base game stuff. There’s 12 new monsters confirmed so far (there’s likely to be at least 20 at release) and one new map, which is supposedly bigger than two of the base game maps combined. For reference, past Monster Hunter expansions typically add one new map, between 10-25 monsters and G Rank versions of all the base game content.
heh
This post could have been summarized with "Like the other expansions."
I think this is the first returning track that I can safely say improved in World/Iceborne.
>brave GL
>fullburst launches teammates
>individual shells launch teammates into the air
>rapid fire shells is a beam of death
Lmao GU added fuck all for a G Rank title. 6 deviants, a flagship and a final boss.
Samefag. Much pathetic.
So what do you think of Glav's new theme?
Sounds better than Tigrex and Narga's new themes
cope
I assumed that user wasn’t familiar with Monster Hunter expansions.
Do we have a rip?
>"Like the other expansions."
But that's fucking wrong.
4U and GU are extremely larger than Iceborne, you're full of shit
Come on now, there were also some more returning monsters.
Do you have any evidence to back up this claim?
Unless Iceborne has 75-93 monsters, it's not "Like the other expansions."
>extremely larger
Fuck off ESL
Fucking retard, 4U only added 23 monsters onto the 52 already in the base game, and GU added 22 to the 71 already in the base game.
youtube.com
it's epic and i love it
Not the best quality rip
Do you know what ‘expansion’ means? 4U and GU only had like 20 monsters added to the amounts in the base game. Do you think that 4 and Generations just didn’t have any monsters at all until their expansions?
I have a better idea, post 'lame' kill screens if you guys have anything. Like moments where you were face down when the monster died or you did it through use of the slinger and it looks unimpressive.
I don't fucking care about your mental gymnastics. What we are talking about is the final result.
75-90 monster is the standard roster size a modern G-Rank MH game should have at the end of the generation.
I don't care how the achieve it, they should reach that point.
>moving the goal post
We weren’t talking about that originally retard, just what the expansions added. Don’t move the goalposts.
>how the achieve it
Learn to fucking speak
>people are replying to listfag
Hey listfag, since you're here, can you tell me when is Epic going to add a shopping cart?
>the base game is lacking content
>the expansion should not be bigger than usual to compensate
>instead it should just be a normal expansion, which at the end will still lack content
Genius, guys
Lmao no one is justifying it faggot, of course the game should have more monsters but that’s not what we were talking about before you butted in like a retard.
Is there a reason they haven’t rangebanned listfag yet? He’s been forced to adapt since his spam got filtered but he’s somehow even more annoying than before.
>Empowered Bing escaping rectal confinement of Sonyg, c.2019 (colorized)
>nuuuuuuuuuuu
It's already on track to have more monsters than 3G which is more impressive than 4G or XX seeing as 4th Gen games are plagued with unaltered PSP assets whereas World had to update everything.
However since you've only played XX you wouldn't realize they unchanged PSP asset dumps.
Wasnt Glavenus double tail slam a Hellblade exclusive move or am I misremembering?
Proxies
The double overhead slash is exclusive to Glavenu's rage mode
who gives a shit? it doesn't matter what moves w*rld monster have, temporal mantle evades them anyway
G-rank Galv has it.
The new one so far is tail slam>Side step>Flame swipe
nargasluts are back on the menu, boys
Glavenus straightens its head as it recovers from its tail slams. If the throat is red-hot, exploit this opening to trip it over!
Thank you Handler very cool.
You're welcome.
>not the G-rank version
so close yet so far, but I'll take it
I'm not feeling it, maybe a higher quality version will sound much better for me
I dunno user, i think the Nargacuga remix is pretty sweet
Why does Barioth look like he speaks vietnamese
We haven't seen the beta or gamma designs yet
Did they show the G rank Rath armor before? Either way, it's styled after the FU version.

Who else would like Handler a little more if she was a Pukei Pukei that took a backseat and purely provided support/monster advice? It wouldn't even be that hard, just some monster advice that you may not know already, and then she shuts up and is also a large, colorful, poisonous bird?
The Pukei in Geralt's quest
>geraldo del rivera cucks us out of the handler we should have had
LET ME OUT OF THIS TIMELINE FUCKING SHITCHER
I would like her to keep her clammy ham stained paws off my damn cat.
Would it be okay if she was a bright, gluttonous bird instead of a fat human?
Negotiations may be possible.
>helps you at the risk of his life after you saved his ass from the menace that's now attacking him

>Geralt was happier in Monster Hunter than anywhere else
>even had a qt researcher he could've fucked
>and a town full of people that supported and liked him
>even the monsters liked him
>he even got good gameplay for the first time
>had to go back
It's not fair
If CDPR ever do another Witcher game for whatever reason I hope they reference Geralt’s Pukei buddy in some fashion. Capcom would of course do another Witcher collar if that were to happen, so it’s a win-win for everyone.
CDPR could have at least made a small update for Witcher 3 introducing the Kirin in a special quest.
Is his armor and weapon any good? After reading Leshen horror stories, I don't even want to try the quest desu.
You mean regular Leshen or Ancient Leshen?
Nah. More or less you just complete it to complete it. Kind of a breathe of fresh air especially with the light character expansions on the various research team members.
>Monster Hunter universe is so lovely, even with shits like Fatalis running around angry about humans, compared to the witcher universe that Nekkers become palico tier happy
Regular Leshen. The one you play as Geralt for. I'm about to fight Tempered HR 49 Kirin, but so many people bitch about Leshen, I'm going to avoid it unless it has Drachen-tier rewards.
Sword phase only has like 4 attacks it'd be easy
>Snaking sword dash
>Big sweep
>Jumping overhead
>Roar
All the horror stories are about the Ancient Leshen, the one in the Event Quest.
The quest with Geralt is a really cool Witcher-style quest.
Regular Leshen is annoying but nothing crazy, it's Ancient that's a pain in the ass
This
You're blocking yourself out of the most fun quest in the whole game, user
Especially if you've played Witcher since Capcom really did good on their adaptations
Regular Lechen isn't any worse than tempered elders, so take that as you will
Eh the game is more than three years old and it’s not meant to be an ongoing supported title like Monster Hunter is, so I’m not too upset that CDPR didn’t do anything major. That said I’m surprised they chose The Witcher of all things for a crossover. Sure it’s popular but it’s hardly ‘current’ and most of the people who would be tempted to buy it already own it at this point. Only thing I can think of is that CDPR and Bamco have plans for more Witcher games in the future after Cyberpunk and want to keep Witcher relevant in the video game scene until then. If they were going to collab with Namco I’m surprised they didn’t go with Dark Souls, that had a more recently released game than The Witcher 3 and it’s last DLC came out less than a year before World launched.
Yeah it's a shame Witcher didn't get anything like how FF14 got the Rathalos fight
It's quite the opposite.
CDPR is done with the Witcher, but the fans are still crazy for it.
So anything that can offer something new with Geraldo instantly gets their full attention.
Also The Witcher 3 is still one of the best selling games during any console/PC sale.
desu the theme of being a contracted "monster hunter" really fits in both if you think about it
I never thought about any of these but seeing the difference in treatment Geralt experienced in Astera really opened up some memories of how much of a fuckup Witcher as a role is regarded in all 3 games
It's also nice seeing him saying to (you) that your world is a good world and you should treasure it
Guess I'll try it, then. Can you change Geralt's weapons, or were people talking about AT Leshen? I have never even seen an sns before, which is apparently what they give Geralt.
The witcher job is treated even worse in the books.
In the books, he's actually always broke, there are very few monsters left in the world and it's not easy to get a decent job.
There's an NPC that lets you select a different weapon type
You have a weapon for each type, but of course only the SnS are related to geralt, the others are generic weapons
So that is something I always wondered
Is Nilfgaard actually free of monsters?
I think the books have a lot more "the drowners were actually just bandits in disguise" like that one copypasta than the games do
What happens if I think sns is fun after trying it?
I guess you’d join the club of people who picked up SnS after the quest like me.
That is what always bothered me. Witchers are super humans. Srobably he would make more money being a bouncer in a brothel than a witcher.
>tfw enjoy every weapon except ranged ones and have zero desire to learn ranged weapons
>You will never boot up Tri and see this for the first time
It hurts, bros..
Yeah, Nilfgaard is more "modern and civilized" and the monsters are pretty much extinct. For example, most citizens don't even believe that vampires exist.
In general monsters are almost extinct everywhere, because humans are destroying their habitats, and the Witchers are killing the few monsters left for money, only to barely survive.
For example, one of the few Leshens in the game is defending the woods by a group of dwarfs who are working for a rich man, and Geralt is paid to kill the monster so the workers can destroy the forest and build stuff.
The Leshens from the crossover probably travelled to the MH World to find a new home. They arrived in a huge and beautiful forest to protect, just to be killed by even stronger hunters than the Witchers. Fucking sad
Exactly. Witchers are very few, and the few remaining actually do a lot of stuff, even becoming assassins, to make money.
Except of course in W3 Toussant is fucking full of monsters
I miss Loc Lac. I hope we go back some day.
Isn’t the white hair related to being a Witcher or something? I have t payed or read anything Witcher related besides the Monster Hunter crossover since 2015 and I barely remember shit. I imagine there’d be superstition surrounding white haired people in general, and if he got any kind of work requiring great physical exertion and was good at it people would be more suspicious. Probably easier to just embrace the fact that most people will hate him and try to live as best he can than try to run from it and live a lie.
I mean, that's for gameplay reasons.
Even Kirin is a legendary monster that only few hunters have seen, and probably just once, in their entire life.
White hair is entirely Geralt's thing.
Loc Lac got buried under the sandstorm...
It’s always been weird to me how in lore and shit the Guild has the authority to basically order the evacuation of whole kingdoms just based on rumours of an Elder Dragon being spotted, yet the player character sees multiple a day and kills them by the dozen just to make some shoelaces or some shit from their hide.
>a bunch of hunters can kill the Behemoth
>Leshen arrives
>"Oh no, we can't let the hunters handle this, we must have this guy doing the job."
>Geralt returns to his world
>way stronger Leshen arrives
>"Oh yeah hunters, go and kill it"
What the fuck
Hmm ok no idea why I had that idea in my head.
White hair is only for Geralt because he was so adaptive for the usual Witcher potions and mutagens that they went even further with him.
Other Witchers like Lambert and Eskel for example don´t have white hair.
He was also surprised by how lush the ancient forest is compared to the shitty forests in the Witcher full of starving wolves and tyrannical leshen
Witcher man had a hard life, the lads just wanted to make him happy.
Toussant is a shithole
>when they evacuate the whole Dundorma because an autistic Chameleos is walking in a weird way outside the main gate
Also when he saw how much good meat there is on an Aptonoth he no longer had to question why monsters are so big in this world.
Wasn't your Hunter off on some job or something?
I still find it funny how everyone reacts to real magic existing when they meet Geralt. They’re basically like ‘huh that’s interesting I guess, anyway back to beating up wildlife’.
Only the story hunts are "canon", that's really the only way to reconcile it if you give too much of a shit
So really only top tier hunters and unlucky shitters will occasionally deal with elder dragons
Yes, although I don't know what could be more important than taking care of an invasive interdimensional magic monster
Your hunter is literally hunting the rest of the Ancient Forest so they don't interrupt Geralt.
Chameleos are the niggers of the Elder Dragon community. They’ll steal anything that isn’t bolted down.
I needed a new hat.
They’re off repelling other monsters deeper in the forest so they don’t reach the playable area and disturb Geralt.
Your hunter doing his best to keep other large monsters to entering forest.
Guild don't want Deviljho or Bazel got inflicted by Leshen magic.
Something off in Elders Recess probably, and they had someone qualified on the scene who already knew how to fight that creature so why not?
a successful project =/= best selling game
I love Chameleos since gen2, but I still have to understand how they could compete with ANY other elder
>Leshen marks Deviljho
>It's now immortal as long as Deviljho lives
I had to fight countless Jhos and Bazels from joining Geralt's Leshen fight
Puked is popular in Japan (and the rest of the world to a lesser extent) for being cute which is probably why he was chosen to be the ally monster in the Witcher collab, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Capcom actually do something with the Pukei-Handler meme in Iceborne.
Well to be fair at that point this is the second time in however many months that shit from another World popped up. I thought it was interesting how the Witcher quest line actually acknowledged the FF one
Probably because MH games sold ~2 million in Japand and 2 million everywhere else, pretty steadily on the ones that got international releases, and even with the big marketing push and multiplat no one expected to quadruple the total sales.
>worldabortions think this is funny
Jesus Christ you guys really are underage.
Extra hunts aren't canon. Only the main village quests are canon. That's why Fatalis has never actually been killed at all in mainline.
They turn invisible and steal their shit. They have no interest in being country-destroying, kingdom-ending threats, they just want to be as obnoxious as possible.
They breathe venom
it's lacking content because we know they started from scratch, and they did their best to for the endgame. no it's not perfect, it's fair to criticize but at the same time don't be an entitled "i don't care, gimme infinite resource, infinite production value or else you're lazy" retards, you lurk Yea Forums so I'd expect you to be a little savvy about this stuff.
Also this
The largest monster you can encounter in the Witcher is only as big as a barn
The intro for Master Rank Leshen hunts will have Handler meeting and befriending Geralt’s Pukei and saying ‘Can we keep him?’
They're an elder dragon because no one understands how it turns FUCKING INVISIBLE
That and its poison clouds kill the shit out of plants and small wildlife nearby even if it's not being aggressive
Even monster hunter knows to fear the stealth dimension and the demons from it. If bazel ever upgraded to a stealth coating they'd instantly classify him as an elder.
I mean World did feel like out of their comfort zone.
And their last non Handheld MH selling less than usual.
In some alternate reality there’s an invisible Bazelgeuse who grows Konchus instead of explosive scales on his chin, just waiting to be set loose from his master the god of cruelty and death upon a virgin world.
XX was a pretty big negative spike in sales. 4th gen was propped up on the back of 4U sales being global, but otherwise is was a downward trend from P3rds massive sales.
They did a better jump from handheld to HD development than most devs did imo
Probably helps that the game was still on the same engine but yeah
>Entire video is glav on the ground or paralyzed
Wow, very insightful.
Lucent Bagel when?
>Enters stealth whenever it leaves the ground, has faster, shorter bombing runs
Then you join the few, the proud, the elite esteemed wielders of the greatest weapon.
EDs are fun, even if they know how they fit into the tree of life if they display an ability they don’t instantly understand they panic and assume it’s magic and start worshipping the thing as a god. I’m surprised the Guild has made as much scientific advancement as they have to be honest.
EDs description from hunter's note in old games
>Kirin: can summon lightings
>Kushala: creates huge storms and can attack any city at any moment
>Luna and Teo: can control fire and burn down entire cities
>Alatreon: living natural disasters
>Fatalis: it's the fucking End of the World
>Chameleos: he can turns invisible which is pretty annoying and inconvenient
>Bazel subspecies gets straight up called Spirit Bazel
>now you hear the screams of wyverians instead of the trees whispering in Felyne
The guild and Wycademy are full of nerds like the chief researcher from Gen. They just shove elder dragons into the "what the fuck is this?" pile until they eventually figure out how they work.
Speaking of XX, i always has this feeling that X-Series is Capcom attempt for fishing more younger demographic along with stories and tons of Arcade spin-off's.
Anyone else notice how the cat had a third use of the tool now, which looked like a giant gong? I wonder what all the others will be getting.
XX is pretty much the devs having fun, adding crazy shit
X series is just a 4th gen spin off to celebrate 10 years of monhun. Stories and shit just followed the same format that the Diary games did.
>Legiana takes more damage from lightning than fire
epic
Is MH Stories just dead?
Yes
I think a chameleon Bazelgeuse variant would be cool. When he lands he takes on the colour of the environment and his bombs change element/status accordingly, and if you enrage him he loses control of his colour change and flashes through them all rapidly, dropping a random mix of bombs with different blights and statuses. Also he turns a bright chrome when flying so that light bends around him and makes him very difficult to see.
They showed some in a trailer or dev diary recently iirc. The Vigorfly gets a free revive and the Shieldspire gets an inflatable decoy that looks and moves like pic related, but I forget some of the others.
Okay, this one is actually funny. Fucking based, really.
The molotow bomb has the palico using a tube that launches bombs all around, like rain.
Oh I wasn't sure if they had actually revealed it or not but that's cool.
>Palico tubeman
Hell yeah, I'll probably be using this to amuse myself during hunts
>create wide range sns set
>summon sos japs
>kill ancient leshen for the first time by keeping my japs doing dps and not worrying about healing
>start getting carried on the harder monsters just by healing
Am I a healslut now?
If it works
Fucking finally managed to kill AT Nergi. Holy shit that fight is so much pain in the ass, and now I have to kill him 4 more times to get the full set.
huehuehue, the only hard part is the nest.
Have they added oils to SnS yet?
No
Enjoy being useless
Based Dorohedoro poster
The last monster you hunted now learns your weapon moves and enacts them. How fucked are you?
god i hope they do a master rank AT nerg in iceborne
How do i learn more abot the lore? Is it just artbooks or playing the games that came out before mhfu?
>monsters with bowguns
>hammer
>diablos
And now we see the unholy spawn of Duramboros and Diablos. Black Diablos still didn't get any.
Do you hate yourself that much user?
How do I get appreciation tickets?
Not really last monster I hunted but Glavenus with a doot doot tail seems fun and silly at the same time.
>Ancient Leshen with SA move
Hmmmm hmmm?
Lunastra + HBG, we're all fucked.
GOTCHA BITCH
>birds mount players and begin to explode
>AT Teostra with Charge Blade
Supernova SAED will be a Nuclear Explosion
This sounds so fucking neutered. What the hell?
Dorohedoro was fucking amazing. Collab with Caiman and Holey layered armour when Capcom?
Gotta wait until the appreciation festival. Each festival is running for a week before moving into the next, so you just gotta wait a couple weeks.
>OOOOOOOOOOH
>OOOOOOOOOOOOH
>OOOOOOOOOOH
>OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH
Nothing that exciting even happened in the video. Christ.
So what's the deal with the new expansion? Why the fuck is it full price?
>doing AT KT
>pubs just absolutely wailing on her at pursuit 1
>they dont collect tracks
>push her to area 2
>cart twice
>waste all the part breaking points at pursuit 1
>taking an extra 5 minutes for the exact same outcome
For fuck sake they never listen
>Dooting Zamtrios
It's not quite full price, which is better than effectively rebuying the same game twice for the expansion content like in the past.
If base Glavenus has a greatsword tail and Ass Glavenus a longsword tail, then rare species Glavenus could very well have a hunting horn tail. Or perhaps a Swiss Army knife tail that can switch between all weapon types?
Thanks user. Is somehow missed all the festivals and a bunch of the events the first time around
>Diablos with GS
Oh no I'm so scared
It’s not full price, but still pretty expensive. It’s better than past MH games where you could only get the expansion by buying the game again at full price with the Ultimate edition, though if you don’t own the base game they still have a complete edition.
>Glavenus somehow gets a Swaxe tail complete with a phial taped on
Maybe he’s an even further specialised Acidic Glavenus, and the acid crystals he forms are entirely localised within his Swaxe tail to function like phials.
What’s the best way to take out a zorah, need its gem
Poison used to block the elders auras until the memeseal was a thing.
Grab an SOS, in multiplayer you only do half the hunt
Sorry, boys. Think I was looking at some deluxe physical edition that includes both World and Iceborne.
Thanks for the clarification. Mite pick it up.
No problem user.
AT nerg was a really fun fight for me and i want more
>Insect Glaivenus with a small Astalos as a Kinsect
Which weapons have you used the most? What does it say about you?
For me
>Switch Axe
>Long Sword
>Great Sword
>Hammer
Is like him if not for the near instant slam attack, it’s legit bullshit because he can do it without warning at any time he likes. All his other fast moves tells and can be loosely predicted because they typically follow other attacks so you can plan a few seconds ahead, but that fucking slam ruins what would otherwise be a fun fight.
>Charge Blade
>Longsword
>Hunting Horn
Probably that I’m a vanilla fag who enjoys some novelty every now and then. I wanna learn Hammer properly at some point though.
SA, IG, and GS.
My top 3 since my first MH have pretty consistently been
>Hunting Horn
>Gunlance
>Dual Blades
>AT Vaal mist damage
Praise be to Health Regen.
>hammer
>greatsword
>switch axe
>gunlance
I really fucking hope Iceborne on PC gets delayed to next year or something, february 2020 or later would be perfect.
I think it's mostly the fact you're the first people watching some exclusive gameplay irl
Lance
Great Sword
Prior to gen 4 probably Hammer but I’ve started using CB a lot since then.
Not sure if it says anything about me. I just play what I like, which is most of the weapons desu. I have a lot of use in everything but Lance and GS have been pretty consistent go-tos throughout the whole series.
>hammer
>lance
>dual blades
Basically if i am feeling really lazy i pick db and if i want to spice it up i grab a lance or hammer
Narg’s World theme is great imo. A lot jazzier than it used it be.
So I haven't played mhw since like a couple of months after release. What should I do to catch up?
longsword
bow
hammer
lance
heavy bowgun
at this point you might aswell wait for Iceborne, no point in grinding shit that will become obsolete in a few months
Grind decos maybe.
Do events you missed for layered armor.
Idk just do whatever sounds fun. You don’t really “need” to do anything to prep for Iceborne.
Why
It's a bait you idiot.
Switch Axe and only switch axe.
Swaxe and Hammer. They couldn't be more different and yet I always come back to these two specifically.
>Charge blade
>SnS
I like to be safe and not commit to attacks
>Nerg turtling behind the hardened spikes on his wings and countering with quick jabs
>Charge Blade
>Switch Axe
I just like transforming weapons
Should be Hunting Horn Duramboros if anything
>Finally get around to doing the Witcher stuff
>Now I never want to hunt another Pukei Pukei again
Lance
Gunlance
SnS
Hammer
...Voltron? My first guess was gundam but that isn't right.
I used the sns for it for the extra RP flavor despite not even knowing how to SLAM at the time and it wasn't that horrible. I mean it took me a long fucking time but I never felt like I was in danger of dying or anything
Jesus Christ keeping that useless son of a bitch alive was a pain
It's Gridman
>GS
>SnS
>LBG
>HBG
I love big dick damage and quick dick damage?
I've been dabbling in Longsword counters as well.
Pretty sure it's from Gridman
They're okay to hunt, just capture them instead of killing they're just poked and prodded at for a while before being let go!
They rip the parts off their body while they're alive
>ywn able to capture an ED
Tigrex's too. It's a lot closer to the original version than the one from 4 and 4U.
Nah, they send you monster parts other hunters sold to them as a reward for capturing them. Was that not obvious?
>IG, CB, HH and LS
if SnS didn't feel so dinky I would've used it more.
>Capcom does Monster Hunter Stories 2
>Brings Geralt back so he can ride around on his Pukei buddy
>you lurk Yea Forums so I'd expect you to be a little savvy about this stuff
Saying this about modern Yea Forums is as retarded of a thing to say as what the guy you were talking to was saying.
Not a prediction, but dream subspecies
Multi-element Pukei who feeds on paratoads, sleepytoads, and nitrotoads to gain Paralysis, Sleep, and Blast, but when it doesn't eat a toad, it defaults to water. Appears anywhere toads do, but for the most varied possibilities, wildspire wastes and elder's recess specifically.
Poalumu with a pufferfish gimmick. shoots spines when it inflates like a faux-seregios and inflicts bleed, living in rotten vale. Could change the turf war between it and clifford to puff up when grabbed, chasing it off. Alternatively, one that drinks water to inflate its neck and shoot high-pressure water attacks.
Spitting-Cobra/Komodo Dragon Tobi who lives in the rotten vale. Eating rotten meat has given it a septic bite. Inflicts miasma with bites and has the ability to spit precision jets of poison
You do about ~50-70 damage a hit with endgame SnS and it has an infinite combo. It just doesn't do the damage all at once. If you get used to using the extremely abusable I-frames of the charge attack you can be up in the monsters face almost indefinitely while using items on the fly.
Geralt deserve some good time in MH world.
Bros why are these expensive ass Creator Series statues all so fucking shitty?
All I want is a qt monster on my desk, but I'm not paying 200 buckaroos for something that's painted worse than a fucking amiibo.
Everybody says this but when I did it he never went below 75% HP and I didn’t use a single life powder. I must’ve just been lucky but he spent most of the time standing 30 feet away spitting at Leshen and he never went out of his way to go slap Pukei.
Light bowGUN, Heavy bowGUN, GUNlance, and Hunting Horn
I'm American
What weapon did you use?
Do you clap when you use HH?
Oh shit I never knew the charge attack had I frames
SnS.
What would your companion monster be, Yea Forums? Hard Mode: No Flagships. Very Hard mode: No Elder Dragons or top five JP popularity.
I choose Steve.
Why does master rank Glavenus do less damage than a low rank monster in World?
I'm a huge unga dummy brain so i've only ever used Hammer through every game since FU
>>No flagships
>Posts 4U's HR flagship
Easiest question ever.
It has a RIDICULOUS amount of I frames.
Can't decide between Agnaktor and Odogaron.
I never said I was going hard mode my dude.
Seregios is a flagship
But I too would choose Seregios
Tobi
Hopefully to show off the game easier. They said in some article that Master rank would bring back challenge nearing the mid point.
Hopefully anyway....
>Starts calling Pukei "Roach"
For world it would be Dodogama easily
I'M PLAYING FREEDOM UNITE FOR THE FIRST TIME TO SEE WHAT ALL THE FUSS IS ABOUT. I'M EMULATING IT FOR THE DUAL ANALOG STICKS. I ALSO WANT TO TRY A NEW WEAPON, BECAUSE I'VE ONLY EVER USED THE SWORD AND SHIELD. WHICH ONE SHOULD I GO FOR? ALSO SPEAK UP, I'M HARD OF HEARING.
That's honestly a really hard question...
Maybe Kulu Ya Ku.
Yian Garuga
I'm not believing shit from Capcom.
It's probably the GU director caving to the nips who want MH to be baby easy like their old favorite P3rd. GU monsters did low rank damage in G rank too.
Unironically Dodogama. He's adorable
>Away from roastie sorceresses
>Away from inbred peasants
>Away from retarded political leaders
>Away from fucking drowners
>In a world where his craft is finally appreciated
USE HUNTING HORN
His chad big brother would routinely stroll past and make fun of you both.
SA is good with explosion too.
I mean as long as it's fun and not brain dead I don't care but I really do hope there's lots of challenge like 3U and 4U
>Smugly stretches neck
>where he isn't ostracized for being a superhuman freak because that's what hunters are
If they're not going to do anything with the franchise, Geralt should stay in Astera. He probably had the time of his life.
>Befriend a monster
>Heart warming community
>Good food
Why must Geralt suffer.
Zamtrios
>laughs at me
That's fine
>laughs at Tobi
I'll turn his ass into a hat
>GU monsters did low rank damage in G rank too.
Fucking bullshit. Glavenus's charged slam does fuckton of damage even at 750 defense.
A Witcher's life is a shitty life
From beginning to end, like the school of the cat guy said "no Witcher ever dies in his bed"
>implying Tobi would forgive you for killing his aniki.
Got myself an early sneak peek at the trailer for the Brachydios monster. Here's how it goes
>Uragaan explodes
>Brachy behind him
>Green but not very blue like his previous appearance. More like dark blue
>the green is almost yellowish
>gameplay video of his slams and slime explosions
>slime covering areas and becoming hazard zones (basically mines)
>other monsters are affected by this
>fast charging with horn that smacks hunter and explodes
>roar is just a loud echo (like really really loud)
>Hoarfrost terrain affected by the shock of the explosions
>teaser is hunter in rotten vale walking about, and notices drools on top
>zooms on the hunter's face fast
>screeching noises and screen goes to black
Maybe he got transported into MH after the good end where he spends the rest of his days chilling with either triss or yen
Holy shit guys Deviljho confirmed
My Tobi don't like people laughing
>GU director
Are we still with this narrative that because the guy who did the switch port is directing Iceborne that automatically means he retroactively was the director for XX?
I've never even played The Witcher but I want Geralt to be happy for some reason. Does he have a hard life? Spoiler free if possible. I want to play them eventually
Ichinose isn't directing IB buddy.
Ichihara was the director of XX though, idiot. He started on Iceborne after finishing XX, and handled the port simultaneously with Iceborne.
>Does he have a hard life?
He does, but he makes the best of it and has a good support network.
>Eat two feasts before the hunt
>No vegetables, elemental defense is for fags
>Get an extra bowl of gravy, tip the palico a couple extra zenny
>Whistle for a bazel to carry me to the hunt
>Arrive at camp
>Actually my bazel dies of a heartattack and I get dropped into the middle of the woods
>Tip the corpse
>Applaud it for getting me to the right zone
>Eat a quick snack of well done steak with catsup (that's palico ketchup)
>Time to hunt this whatchacallit
>Fire off an SoS flare and play my speed up hunting horn song
>My palico applauds my performance and then goes home because my team arrived
>Their names are a bunch of nonsense lines, probably terrorists or liberals
>Roll my way downhill toward zone 1
>Enjoy a light snack of more steak as I'm travelling
>Finally spot my quarry
>A mighty aptonoth
>Better go back to camp and get my gun for this
>Whistle for fast travel
>Oh yeah Bazel's dead, remind myself to tip it less next time
>A fellow American comes charging into the area and clubs the aptonoth to death with his huge pickly tail before running off again
>Tip him and carve off a few steaks
>Grill them up and eat a few while I wait to receive my loot
>Eventually get the victory fanfare, never saw my teammates, lazy foreigners
>Only tip them 30% each on the loot screen
>Only ever played 20 hours of Witcher 3 (Might give it another go after doing this collab stuff)
>But even I was glad that nobody treated him like an outcast and were super respectful towards him
It'd be really funny if they ever did another Witcher collab if Geralt seemed excited to once again be back in the MH universe.
Also, I'm glad that Geralt got way more than that ugly red-headed shitter Aloy or whatever.
Only play the vidja ver, didn't read the books, his whole life is hard, but full of whoring and gambling and drinking too.
No he wasn't. Ichinose directed XX
Where is all this new footage coming from? How do ypu guys think the layered sets will work? They have a tab with smithy labeled Layered Master Rank armor (seen in dev diary) hopefully its just a big grind and not a reward from a quest where you fight 3 AT elders
>Does he have a hard life?
Very
But like the Witcher world it's not all sad and miserable
even: 4U
odd: 3U
gematsu.com
>The director of Monster Hunter XX is Daisuke Ichihara, and the main planner is Takurou Hiraoka. Both served as planners on Monster Hunter Generations. Yasunori Ichinose, the director of the previous game, is providing concept supervision and work flow.
Ichinose hasn't been directing shit since Generations. Who knows what he's doing now.
>>Eat a quick snack of well done steak with catsup (that's palico ketchup)
Okay that got me
2B and Kratos armor are obvious crossovers but MHW stopped having fun with those. I bet project red is the one that asked for the cross over instead of fun Capcom. PC wins again with their modded 2B, if it was a official layered armor we would have to fight some bullshit on the same level as ex behemoth anyway
I hope it's like Frontier in that there's some kind of tertiary grind you could take up if you're balls deep into mogtism. Just hope it's not attached to shitty low% drops.
>pre 3rd gen HH
Why would anyone do this to themself
I don't care enough to dig through the credits on the more recent games but probably some general team management shit or starting on a game that hasn't been announced yet
I really liked MHW and it was my first MonHun game. Should I give Gen Ultimate a try?
Monster Hunter takes place on EDN-3 an unknowable amount of time after human space faring civilizations have crumbled
Ichinose seems to be working on something at least, based on what he wrote for the 15th anniversary.
Absolutely. It has 93 unique monsters and a more skill-based gameplay.
Play 4U then play XX.
A crossover fight with a fucking Tank could be funny
Like the opposite of Snake fighting a Tigrex
Go for it.
You'll have a brief period of adjustment due to the slightly different controls and a few hours of slogging through the garbage early quests, but after that you'll have fun clapping all sorts of new (to you) monsters with the OP broken as fuck Valor Style.
I stopped playing for a while, what's the best funlance?
Last time I played Jho was just added.
Do you absolutely need to be 4 for Kulve mommy or Bahamut?
>that nobody treated him like an outcast and were super respectful towards him
Yeah, they're respectful in the beginning because they need you for stuff like the Griffin terrorising white orchid
As soon as he does what he was needed for he stops being Master Witcher and becomes the devilish mutant
No, it's a prequel
Lost Plant takes place millions of years later when most of the planet has frozen over
>more skill-based gameplay
>Valor and Aerial Style
>stopped having fun with those
>what is the DMC event with cats singing a DMC song
Yeah but they were still respectful towards him in the end.
Why the fuck is there so much chinese in this video?
Japan serving their chink overlords...
>The cringy ass DMC trailer with the mhw monsters talking
I’m loyal to my greatsword weaponfu
>>>>>>>>>>>>skill-based
its even more broken than MHW
It's so good.
Maybe because it was filmed in Hong Kong. Just a hunch.
The Pink Rathian Gunlance is the most fun. Full burst after full burst is lovely. Wide 4 is Kulve exclusive but the most boring style in my opinion. The Zorah GL needs handicraft but I like Long ammo the best because it's basically alright at everything and you can use your whole kit without feeling like you're gimping yourself.
>It has 93 unique monsters
recolors aren't unique.
Game is still great, but dont go lying to newcomers, retard
>more skill-based
>those insta-win styles
user, I...
This covers non-Long GLs.
>skill-based
are you fucking kidding me?
So, who's gonna be the final boss of iceborne, Fatalis or someone new?
Fuck I'd probably put money on this.
They could wildcard the fuck out of us though. Paralysis Pukei
Frost Paolumu
But fire Tobi is pretty much all I could think of myself.
Nergigante after consuming Velkhana.
>Turns into Valstrax
LEGEND
EATER
NERGIGANTE
>tfw need a magazine deco but none have dropped or been peered into with savescumming
Just kill me.
Play mhfu then 3u then 4u then gu then kill self since you spent 2 years playing only mh
Ironic how Nergigante never actually are an elder dragon in the game
>ice in picture
>looks like a body
oh fuck
Ate*
Reminder that this card in Japanese has the same title as normal Nergigante and the art is in the Recess. It's literally just the normal crystals.
>Black
>Red
>White
Pale Fatalis is next
How do I play Wide GL? I have the set made, I just don't know what I'm doing and get bored and go back to HBG
LGBT rainbow Fatalis.
I loved MH4.
But I can't get into Generations or World because i'm so fucking sick of monsters running away, especially in generations. I get that monsters running is part of the aesthetic, but monsters shouldn't try to run away more than once, as it ends up being detrimental to the gameplay.
There are other MH clones. Are there any like MH that don't have constant breaks in the action?
Use normal shells to extend your poke combos when you have long openings or if a monster turns a hard spot towards you, otherwise use it as a big fucking beatstick and don't bother with your Full Burst or charged shells
Where the fuck are the crabs and monkeys Capcom?
Gold Fatalis
>tfw no rathalos mount in total war warhammer
Oh god it's disgusting. What the fuck is it?
Too much work
Pris understandu Gajiin
>Narga is back
>but the Silverwind design is stuck in GU
And a new Rathalos variant to go with it
The virgin Rathalos
THE CHAD SKULLMUNCHA
Just a bit of fucking variety. I'm so sick of killing god damn reptiles. Iceborne would have been perfect for reintroducing Bullfango and Blangonga at least
He really was the best part of the movie
Tfw no Fatalis mount for Dark Elf lords
>Bullfango
Do not say the name of The Satan so lightly
The next game will probably have a tropical theme to it, so we'll get a lot of beaches and monsters like Ludroth, Lagiacrus, the crabs, etc.
The only thing I don't like about AT Nerg is that if you get hit by his tailswipe move and then he targets you directly afterwards, you're guaranteed dead. Other than that he feels so good. I love his slam because evading through it makes me feel like a hammer god.
>tfw no bazel mount for empire lords
What monster would they bring from Warhammer if they had a Collab with total war
I hope so, shame those islands on the west side of MHW's map never got used for anything
Thanks!
He's only half-wrong, there are still more unique large monsters in GU even with subspecies or other informal variants removed from the head count. Comparatively speaking, other G-Rank titles have many more subspecies comprising the bulk of their own rosters, but GU itself doesn't really do much with this difference. For a 'greatest hits' title there's a ton of practically useless STUFF and monsters you may not even need to fight at all. It's like those Doom mods that have a ton of weapons and features you don't need at all.
Skaven could have some shit-tier monster because fuck Skaven. They can have Konchu cause they're annoying little faggots just like Skaven
For how early you get it, it's a pretty good generalist set. You'd drop it once you get a good set of decorations for real armor.
They should bring back underwater and rework it with better controls and make an area that is just a whale fall of Zorah after he died at sea
Looking through tons of elemental ranged builds/sets and noticed most of them always have lvl 3 elemental decos instead of capping it at lvl 5. Why?
They probably figured it best not to completely waste everything on a single game so they'd have a basis for a new one.
GU has one of the lowest subspecies counts in the whole series.
Tobi Maguire
What will they call the next title?
>MH:Genesis
>Come back from a hunt
>Astera is on fire and ratmen are running everywhere stealing supplies
>You get to fight a helllpit abomination while the Skaven warlord leading the raid speaks mid combat based on how it goes
I was wondering why that bitch sounded so annoying. Chinese really is a disgusting language.
Monster Hunter World 2: Pukei-Pukei's Island
Wait for Portable 5th user
We'll probably get a couple monsters post-launch that aren't just recolors so I dunno, the basic animations for every monster type that isn't completely unique already exist in the game's small monsters and endemic life
>Status frogs
>Crabs in El Dorado Caverns
>Monkeys (and Popos) in Hoarfrost
>Super Mosswine
Tfw you try to hunt Kroq-gar and get Thanos clicked by the hand of the gods
Jesus deviljho just went and gave this odogaron the thrashing of his life, in the cramped spaces of the vale this hungry boy is fucking massive.
It would be okay as entry level high rank gear, but you will likely have better by the time you get it.
Generic acid/bile troll in the rotten vale or forest. I feel like most other monsters would be hilarious overkill or too grimdark for MH
A high-elf pheonix would actually be pretty dope. G rank is a frostheart pheonix
Deviljho's entire job in the ecosystem is making "apex predators" his bitches
The leshen is pretty extreme for MH standards but they managed to make it work
God I fucking hate the chinese.
Yeah but it's not like, hell-pit abomination mode or anything. I also considered various beastmen but I feel like they'd NEVER put something so humanlike into the game for players to kill, carve up and make a hat out of. Then you've got generic wyverns and shit which we already have a dozen of. I kinda like that other user's phoenix idea; having a monster that comes back to life could be pretty interesting.
Hellpit abomination would be bad ass
Long boi
