He still is kinda at the top in the sense of how quickly his figures/artbooks sell. Dude can have magazines dedicated literally to just his art and those will sell out almost instantly. Hard to think of any other currently active artist that can achieve that. Even RAITA, crazy popular as he is, isn't quite at that level yet.

When Sega decides to let Camelot touch it again. Remember that the director of the old ones wants to make Shining Force IV and has expressed this as recently as 2017, but Sega ignores them.
I don't mind Taka either and the girl he draws is very pretty, but the games themselves have basically nothing to do with Shining at all (not even fucking cameos) and from a certain point on (namely when Taka got signed on for it, not that it's his fault) it's essentially a new series that is completely standalone.

Was talking mostly about my subjective opinion on ability to draw sexy anime girls, like 20 years not as many people could do it but Tony just kept pumping them out and made everyone realize the potential of 2D, now everyone knows anime girls are hot and (again, in my subjective opinion), I can think of a dozen artists I like better.
He definitely deserves his spot in history though, and it's no surprise he has a loyal fanbase that buys his books out so quick. Too bad it isn't quite enough to make Shining games sell very much lately.
