Yes, it came out 6 years ago and its still top of the charts, it was the best selling game of the generation after the generation it launched in. I dont think even GTA 6 will top the hype surrounding V

GTASA > GTA5 in length (And quality)
Using speedrunner statistics, GTAV is shorter than GTASA by a wide girth
And Rockstar spent hundreds of millions on GTAV, up to and including wasting time on those character switching scenes that LITERALLY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH GAMEPLAY - literally an hour and a halfs worth of nothing
And despite that - DESPITE THAT - despite every sacrifice to turn GTA into a movie, GTAV's story is only a little longer than GTA:SA (including the DVD San Andreas movie though, SA is longer)
GTAV is a mess, and I mean in everyway, whether it's cheats, mods, etc SA beats V - and unlike the 4 kiddies, you can't use "but muh based single player DLC!!!1" to defend your game

It's not absolutely. Gta V has the best and more detailed map but that certainly doesn't make it the best game. The story is pretty bad, script wise it is the worst 3d gta also some of the gameplay like stealth and air vehicles are a step back in the series so no it's not

VI is going to have massive hype from the kids who grew up with V as their first GTA game. It's actually amazing it's managed to stay relevant this long. Though GTA Online has received far more content than the base game at this point and most of it has been pretty good, especially the heists.

It's possibly the worst of the HD GTAs. Overall, mechanically, it's better than GTA1 but it's still a terrible hand holding movie shit game compared to IV and all the previous games that let you play right away.
It's crazy how we live in an era where a developer can make worse and worse sequels an they make more and more money (NuFallout, GTAV, elder scrolls, Fifa and NBA)

what I realized the other day playing the Casino update is that the media, twitter, and games journalist shit on R* for their "misogynistic portrayal of women", but they're probably the only ones that do black women right. They also do women in positions of power correctly. And they have good portrayals of blacks, hispanics, asians and most minority groups as a whole.
Instead of putting the same afro, sassy, ugly ass sheboon in games, they put black women as they are. The fat bitches, the ugly bitches, and the thicc good looking ones.

Map is empty a lot of times. There are so many locations which were completely unused. San Andreas map did it better.

Nah. It was fun, but there was a lot of filler. Not enough heists. You couldn't even go into the burger joints like you could in the 4th game. Missing a lot of stuff. Still fun, but could have been better.
