I'm playing on hard/classic as I heard that's the real normal mode and normal mode is too easy.

How important is it to min-max characters? Because right now I have no clue about specializing characters into the right roles, how linked attacks works, what class to choose for characters when they do exams, what batallions to use with what character, how support bonding works etc.

Well, Eagles and Lions show a conflict from both sides and with different conclussion.
Church deriviates from Eagles, so you'd want something inbetween to separate the two.
Deer builds up on some of the things mentioned in the Church route and is overall a 'meta' route in which you see some things happening behind the scene (at least from what I heard, haven't started it yet), so hence the order.

Worldbuilding and some fairly heavy shit from time to time, but still has some fun stuff.
Then the timeskip happens and shit hits the fan.

It was a bit of luck, but I just made Edelgard use gambit on him and the attacked with mc and finished him off with Petra as she had the bonus crit chance because he was less than half hp. I got lucky and crit, not needing to use another character (and they would all die, because these three were my only ones he would not double on).

You can repair weapons once you unlock blacksmithing but it requires smithing stones. So I just buy replacements instead.
Magic is only limited per map use yet you can increase the usage on each map by raising the skill.

Magic reloads automatically, repairing unlocks with the blacksmith

it's not terribly important to max out your Beginner classes. You'll probably end up maxing out your Intermediate classes in the normal course of play, though

Depends on if you'll use the skills gained from mastering them. Commoner/Noble just gives you a +5 HP ability, but beginner and up give various skills that you can mix to make the best unit possible. The great thing is that you can swap classes right before battle in the prep menu to whatever you need, as well as there being spammable maps and free battle restarts with exp retained on normal, so there's plenty of time to level everything up.

Look online to see which classes give which mastered skills to see if you want them or not.

After playing Beagles route I can honestly say Lions route is far better. If it weren't for the fact Lions were all monsters, their maps might've actually have been a challenge at times.

i guess it's just a normal mode thing, but if you choose battle on your day off, there are always some missions that use no activity points so you can just do 'em over and over on the same day. enemies are low level so its good for bringing up your shitter units

But localization of Xenoblade 2 is fucked up in every possible place. It's completely different story and characters. I played in Japanese and I really struggled to understand what other people that played in English are talking about. And it's about canon things. Completely rewritten character dialogues / kizuna talk (dunno how it's called in western version) are a different story.

Polish voices were recorded long before English ones. All Polish voice actors were retained from previous games. This game was written originally in Polish and it's based on popular Polish fantasy book series. This game have tons of literary copy pasted dialogue from these novels. The only thing that they made for burger audience is lipsync because you fuckers are always making a big deal of it. They wanted to sell it globally and didn't have (yet) enough money to do lipsync for Polish and English.
