57,720 UNITED STATES FEDERAL BANK NOTES
That's why you don't fund Jews until it's a finished project
Omori has been in development for so long that two of its kickstarter goals (port to PSVita, Port to 3ds) are no longer possible anymore
kickstarter.com
>rpg maker
>psvita, 3ds
the engine doesn't even support running or porting to these consoles
>5 people backed like 600$
Reminder that THIS was kickstarted
This would have been so comfy if it actually happened.
kickstarter.com
why do idea-guys keep making over-optimistic kickstarters
why does Yea Forums think this game is good
>>tries to sue other people making and releasing clones of his game
cause its
Kill yourself. Your taste is shit and your irrelevant
dilate
the "map system" is fucking dumb
no. you're dumb
The map system is just Super Metroid. Wander blind until you bumblefuck into a map.
Why are you playing indie games when you haven't played the legitimately great games they steal from?
oops
hey it could be worse right
Didn't that one Indivisible game do some nasty shit when trying to promote their kickstarter
why do this to yourself
They're still posting updates though.
You know, I'm glad I ignored everyone and didn't start funding Kickstarters.
I'm glad I ignored every shill thread about VR. Or a billion other examples of MMOs, cryptocurrencies and everything else that requires massive buy-in.
People are full of shit and want your money. Fuck them.
>I got lost because I have terrible spatial awareness and it made me frustrated
They just found an editor while doing their semi failed kickstarter
out of the 32 kickstarters I've backed over the years, only 9 haven't delivered yet, and 4 of those are fairly recent and still regularly posting progress. not the worst success rate I feel, I think I've done fairly ok. barkley and homestuck did teach me to stop going for pointlessly big tiers though.
they're legit just reposting old shit from years ago
kickstarter.com
they're trying to simulate the feeling of movement
also check out the lolcow thread. Omori is a mess, ot/res/15930.html
what makes you do this
how much disposable income do you make
are you some manlet software engineer?
or are you some kind of gamedev yourself to be giving out this money?
>homestuck adventure game
but that released technically
What a shit apology. He's literally just blaming it all on someone else. Reminds me of that guy who's still(?) making that Dreamcast rpg. These indie devs don't calculate their costs or game completion time before a Kickstarter then when it turns out they're in over their head they start to blame others and explain to everyone how it's not their fault. Fucking shameful.
5000 yen is like 40 US bucks.
Dudes spent jack.
nope just a wage slave with minimal expenses and lots in savings because I never spend anything. plus this is over a period of what, 7 years?
only a small part of it released. and that's like saying bakley 2 is still going to come out because the pr dude says he's gonna make it, it's not going to be the same
>They just found an editor while doing their semi failed kickstarter
explain
First and last kickstarter. Lesson learnt.
Kickstarter is still bad because you have no incentive to take a risk unlike real investments.
holy fucking kek I remember the rampant shilling threads back in the day
of course it crashed and burned
sounds like it's literally out of his hands though
he can't force the other guy to work, especially when the other guy owns the rights to the code
Every game I have backed were released. No issues here. Sucks that they can take your money and not produce something if things go 'south.'
IIRC those were for Slip Stream, even if the games look exactly the fucking same.
I like Delko and think he's a cool dude but i don't get how this ended up the way it has. There was a playable functional demo ages ago, all it needed was a few levels and it was effectively done. The stages are just an extruded ribbon with set dressing. I could make an entire level in a week easy enough. All progress on drift stage seemed to halt at some point though, i wonder what happened.
Mental illness.
So that's what happened. Was wondering what happened to that game. Shame, it looked pretty fun.
At least the user that works on Ghost Song didn't went the kickstarter route and got an actual publishing deal. Now he just needs to actually release the game.
Eh, Adult Swim's track record with indie games isn't amazing. They tend to nab the ones too mediocre to grab Devolver's attention.
This is the only kickstarter I've backed. I played the demo, it was good, worked fine with all kinds of input devices. Polish that up, make some tracks (remember the games its "inspired" by had 5 tracks on a good day), ezpz.
Never again.
That's because it IS the other guy's fault? Do you not understand the words you read and make up your own imaginary bullshit to get mad at?
have you considered the idea that Delko himself has been pretty shitty to some of his other workers, wayyy back when he was in AGDG where he treated his programmer and one of his other Artist's like shit. Back when the game was called Turbo Run, indiedb.com
it's him
Because he's hiding behind a person he claims just disappears with no evidence or proof of his claim. Why are you so eager to believe a scam artist?
Didn't Delko work on Sky Rogue?
As long as it's a half way decent metroidvania with those alien aesthetics I'm happy. Kinda hard to fuck that genre up.
he did some of the art, nothing else
>tfw you still haven't fallen for the kickstarter meme
Seriously, this shit is fucking cursed
My principle is to never kickstart a game where you can switch out a word in the dev's name to cuck.
>DelkoCuck
Case in point.
>tfw backed over 25 released games on crowdfunding platforms so far and not been burned even once, with 6 more on the way
One day this streak will be broken and I will feel crushed over it, but it is not this day.
Phoenix Point, Iron Harvest, Psychonauts 2, Knights & Bikes, Indivisible, R-Type Final 2 are my upcoming ones.
>That long post from an ex-employee about how the creator doesn't give a damn anymore and how her below minimum wage employees are actively sabotaging it
>She bought a $900k house
Hope she wasn't counting on the money made from releasing the game.
Has there ever been a kickstarted project you can't just subsequently buy everything if it actually comes out?
Enjoy your Epic Game Store exclusives.
sounds like that's what his job was for this game, too
I'm still mad about the super patriotic dating sim.
They were worried about sjws tearing them apart so they put some anti white bullshit in the kickstarter pitch to appease them causing a lot of people who would have helped fund it to not do so and causing them to not reach their goal.
Is this the Slipstream thread? I love that game!
Could be worse.
Remember me?
>Only game I supported on Kickstarter was Distance
>only 9 haven't delivered
That's good?
>only 9 haven't delivered yet
>only 9
>Play launch demo
>Pretty cool, reminds me of Sega Rally era games
>Only needs a little polish, some tracks, AI, 4-6 cars, and netcode to be a great steam arcade racer
>After car reveals it goes completely fucking silent for 2 years
>Devs wheel out some plane game called Sky Rogue and finish it within 8 months
>Not even a wimper about Drift Stage
>Years pass
>DRIFT STAGE CANCELLED
IT WAS BASICALLY HALFWAY FINISHED WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUCK THIS COULD HAVE BEEN FUCKING SICK WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
So glad I didn't end up kicking money at this. Only game I've thrown money at is Indivisible because LabZero is extremely transparent about what they're doing with their game and they're not gonna run with the money like these synthwave monkeys. Sounds like the art dev got screwed by a shithead programmer so not pinning the blame on him. Oh well, at least the soundtrack still bangs
>dead for 7 yeas
This is sad, this game looked cute.
Where's my stalin dating sim.
That top one threw me off for a moment before I realised it was in yen
