pretty sure the version on steam is $30 for just the first chapter, you have to get a patch for the rest of the game and that doesn't even uncensor everything. the one on nyaa is the full game for free and is completely uncensored.

Steam version requires a free patch to unlock everything past rabbit hole 1 because at the time Steam wouldn't have allowed any of that stuff. The only difference between a patched steam version and the one on nyaa is they took out a CG of a dog fucking a girl but left in the text so the screen goes black for those two lines or so. Someone made a patch for that too if you want to see it and the version on nyaa already has it applied.
If you're pirating anyway then yeah grab it on nyaa. Be warned though that unless if it's been fixed recently the extra voiced patched version on nyaa has a bug where it'll reveal some names in text that are supposed to be hidden which will give you some spoilers a bit before you should know what they're talking about.

It's one thing, if a fan translator fucks up, since he does it literally for free.
If "professionals" fuck up, that's not justifiable anymore.
Also, involving Westerners usually makes the whole "muh copyrights" shit more of a pain to deal with.
They will absolutely include crippling DRM to "protect" "their" assets and the likes. One result: You can't simply put the BGM folder into your music player of choice anymore.

Yeah that scene. I remembered talk in /vn/ about the voice patch making that character's name appear there when it should have looked like your pic. I don't believe there's been an update to the voice patch since then, and when I downloaded it on nyaa a couple months ago the upload date of the only seeded one I could find was before that /vn/ post was made so I assuming it hasn't ever been fixed.

From what I gather the final ending isn't really the true ending. From "It's My Own Invention" on, each ending are basically 'what if?' scenarios. How deep is the rabbit hole? How long will you follow down its dark path? In the end, which Subahibi do you choose? Strength of belief, strength of will, and the power of delusions are a few of the foundations of Subahibi. Through them man became a savior and met god; fiction became reality; what was once dead has come back to life; and all of the former were washed away as mere delusions. It could all be fiction, it could all be reality, or it could a mixture of both. It's your choice.

Parts 2, 3, and 4 are all great for different reasons, but I was ultimately disappointed in how the game resolved itself. Despite what the presentation suggests, the narrative itself is very un-complex and even takes pains to clear all the loose ends such as why Takuji's mother went so crazy and pinning the blame on some asshole cult leader, while the actual message in Tsui no Sora 2 feels rather disconnected. I was genuinely on board with puzzling out the game's philosophy until this point, whence it just became kind of messy.

The more important idea in SubaHibi I believe is the concept of a shared universal soul. There's supposed to be a lot of stuff in the plot that lends credence to that interpretation.

It is poorly paced and have plenty of poor sex scenes, but it has good moments.
What did you expect, first 4 routes are sort of remaster of tsui no sora, and the rest are afterthought attachment.
