Yes it does. It’s a better horror FPS than the other Doom games and does horror better than other modern horror games.

Not really. D3 is a pretty flawed game in really every aspect. It's neat for about 5 seconds and then the entire game is just those 5 seconds on loop.
I still have a soft spot for it though

Pretty sure they cut down the sizes of some levels in the port so it was more actioney as a result and turned out better imo

You better not be about to buy the Switch version that just came out. DRM in all three Doom games atm. Gaming sites say Bethesda will be patching it out, but still.

As a horror fps it is pretty underrated. Great atmosphere and light survival horror elements. But Doom is classically about fast paced shooting and reflexes with spooky atmosphere as a framework. Spiritually Doom 3 is not a Doom game.
