literally about to play this for the first time, any tips for a first playthrough?
Hey Morty I turned myself into a sellout corporate sjw. My sequels gonna be an epic exclusive.
Does /pol/ even know what it's saying or do you just string together buzzwords trying to form a sentence?
Turn off the lights, silence your phone, and pick up every page you find. (They're not always given to you in the order that they're listed in your collectibles page, so don't freak out if it looks like you're missing some.)
It's a comfy game if nothing else.
thanks brew, abandoning thread now!
This game was decently entertaining but it would be a lot better if it kept track of your items instead of resetting your stuff every stage.
I played this after a bad trip and had an existential good time.
Get high.
You will need the witch's cabin key... find the lady of the light gone mad with the night. That's how you reshape destiny
Shame we'll never going to get another sequel. It was fucking amazing.
Prepare to be disappointed if you're in it for the gameplay.
Narrative-wise it's okay.
Quantum Break was a better story but Alan Wake was pretty neat too. It needed a bit more variety in enemies though. Also fuck crows.
Gameplay is tight and fluid, if a bit repetitive. It’s not like it’s not fun.
>stage level
pure kino
Wake me up!
One of my absolute favorites.
Story?
CHILDREN OF THE ELDER GOOOOD
SCOURGE OF LIGHT UPON THE DAAAAARRRRK
Some kid butthurt about some store exclusivity and a female lead protag
WHEN I THOUGHT THAT I FOUGHT THIS WAR ALONE
YOU WERE THERE BY MY SIDE ON THE FRONT LINE
Don't listen to the anti-gameplay user, its god solid OTS mechanics. Play on the max difficutly, in the dark
Find the lady of the light

Poets of the Fall is a fucking great band. Their make believe band for Alan Wake was one of the best things in the game

>Play on the max difficutly
I like the game but I think some of the prolonged forest sections would just get more tedious on hard mode.
The only parts I found annoying were the crows
Alan Wakeboarding
Throw the disc out the window at night and go hunting for it with a flashlight. At least you'll get some exercise while still getting the full gameplay experience without the cringe plot.
IN THE END ITS NEVER JUST THE LIGHT YOU NEEEED
WHEN BALANCE SLAYS THE DEMON, YOU'LL FIND PEEACE
(FIND YOUR PEACE)
Alan Wake and Wakeboarding Unleashed both had good soundtracks
Coincidence? I think not
>cringe plot
Ok zoomy zoom zoom tell us what plot you believe is non cringe? Please say something like Dark Souls or Bloodborne so I can laugh at you.
The game doesn't change the amount of ammo and flare drops depending on difficulty. once you get used to the mechanics you can breeze through, horror max payne style
Previously on The Shield
Why don't more game dev's copy Remedy with how they handled a absolutely 10/10 expansion pack?
CUS REALLY IMA PSSSSSYYYYYCHOOOOOO
>10/10 expansion pack
>repeat the same shit over and over again until the game ends
Bravo Remedy!
Even nu God of War has a better plot than this shit heap.
Its at most 2 hours long user. It feels like a great arcade game at best. Which is all it needed to be, since Alan Wake was already a full game by itself.
Holy YIKESOLA
OF COURSE it’s a soniggro
How to know you've been cucked, the post.
