Ww2 game with 50vs50

>ww2 game with 50vs50

where the fuck is the HYPE? this is what i always wanted, so bad

Attached: file.png (1920x1080, 1.88M)

inb4 it dies because that's what all ea games seem to to nowadays

That's plenty of players. I have been having fun with it since day 1.

>PC Game
>Unreal Engine 4

People are starting to figure out it's a meme engine and FPS games that come out on it are absolute garbage.

It's made for walking simulators - look pretty, perform awful in every other department.

t. Godot developer

why would games on UE4 be garbage?

the only reason i could see is that UE4 lowered the cost or increased the ease of making games that look good, so more talentless or unenthusiastic people got involved and maybe made it look bad, but that has to do with accessibility the engine created and not the quality of the engine

I dont buy EA games anymore.

>Maintain a high price point for a new unknown muiltiplayer game
>Eventually you squeeze off your player counts with greed
>Nobody buys your game cause its "dead"
Every fucking time

>d-day normandy map just released
Usually they're some of the worst multiplayer maps in respective games, but retards keep forcing other people to play them because muh Saving Private Ryan. Fucking Day of Infamy.
Also Heroes of The West for RO2 already did that.

>why would games on UE4 be garbage?
Input lag.

Why has no ww2 MP game tried to do a large scale game like this AND with a shitload of cannon fodder bots?

Attached: giphy.gif (500x187, 649K)

>Input lag.
Is it really that bad? Got any numbers?

>UE4 FPS

Lmao

I'm not buying it unless it has one armed women fighting on the frontlines

No numbers, only my own experience.
There's literally not a single UE4 shooter I was satisfied with mouse feel.

>muh Saving Private Ryan
Yeah because it couldn't possibly be the fact its the biggest amphibious battle in human history right zoom zoom?

Attached: Zoomies.gif (326x281, 110K)

>UE4
HAHAHAHA fuck off

It looks great and exactly like what a modern Battlefield should be if it had more vehicles.
I've been following it but never bought since I know it will be dead in a year top.

For shame, there's no room for multiplayer AA games anymore. It's either FOTM pixelshit or MtX ridden AAA garbage

Attached: bda4806063d56ccdeaa577b5ede1ece05f09fa110ef4ba6fbde35909bc76e7c9.jpg (836x1310, 128K)

>AND with a shitload of cannon fodder bots?
They probably don't want to use processing power to run the bots on public servers.

Same reason Battlefront has no enemies these days.

You cannot make a game/film/book/tv series/youtube video on a trendy topic and expect it to sell well or become popular.

Even if the game in the OP is good, all i see is someone trying to make money off SPR/Battlefield/Call of Duty sucess. It's not original and it's not interesting.
And a lot of others feel the same way even if they don't realise it.

Attached: guinea_pig_silkie_0026-58fdd1c6c35da__700.jpg (700x467, 49K)

Oh yes?
I wanted a new battlefield vietnam
Spawning in your murican bases, c4ing your jets was the dopest shit

I guess. I'm still certain the next big hit will be some sort of battle royale game with PvPvE with XP and leveling. AAA companies should be all over that shit.

>biggest amphibious battle in human history
Nobody_cares.

I know, there are no Instagram pictures of it

As far as zoomers go it never happened

Attached: a44.jpg (2696x1372, 177K)

ITT: nobody has, played red orchestra.
The genre has basically nearly been perfected. Go play bridges cyka.

Based
Unreal engine is alright but when you get mega-huge maps, its automatically shit as every game turns into a pixel shooter

>assuming shit
It's dead and RS2 is garbo.

Dunno wtf SPR is but this is nothing like any call of duty game and modern battlefield games are nothing like this either

I don't enjoy low tech war fought with such primitive blammy sticks as found in the 1940s. You can keep your cavemen and your beaches and your big sticks arranged into tepees.

Attached: 1511995574459.jpg (320x422, 22K)

Ro2 isn't dead. Rs2 is shit though and will die before ro2.

I'm not american nor french nor german why would i care about this?
Do you know the about biggest tank battle in the human history? Probably not.

why would that be the case?

>play a historical shooter
>dude who gives a fuck about history lmao

There are always at least 3-4 servers with 64/64 players, that includes Rising Storm too

Everybody knows about Kursk, or Prokorovkha village, or even the German/Soviet tank battle in the days after Barbarossa that may have been the biggest. Sorry you're ignorant you slav chimpanzee.

>I'm not american nor french nor german why would i care about this?
Then why the fuck would anybody care what you have to say pajeet?

Dont you have to find some city street to shit in?

Normandy isn't in Utah you retard, that's obviously the Utah coast in America

>retarded memelord obsessed about shitty meme
People only care about Omaha in vidya only because of Saving Private Ryan and MoHAA. Like every attempt to bring it into multiplayer mode was a failure due to forced team balance, which makes it axis sided like every single time. People vote for Omaha only so they can mow down steamrolled Americans with MG, not to attack.
I'd rather not have Omaha at all so it won't ruin the game for everyone.

Attached: hy84qi98qap21.png (846x563, 382K)

>normandy fucking again
I feel like I know that place better than actual d-day landers by now.

The Battlefield 1942 version is fun as fuck. There is a small gap between a fence in the village and the invisible wall marking the end of the map that you can just squeeze in and flank the axis.

>People only care about Omaha in vidya only because of Saving Private Ryan and MoHAA
So by that logic if people only cared about Omaha because of a movie and a video game then how did it get into a movie and a video game in the first place zoom zoom?

>Dont you have to find some city street to shit in?
I already shit on your street mate, and i'm fine with that.

Unreal engine has trouble loading textures at extreme distances
If you combine this with a large map or very shitty developers, you get games like Squad or Post Scriptum where it turns into a pixel shoot, where you need a 4k monitor and have to edit ini files just to make it playable

Other U4 games sometimes suffer this problem, but if they actually know how to use the engine (Rising Storm 2, Eternal Crusade) they can limit it or even remove it entirely

Attached: 1481902676521.png (601x566, 973K)

>your street mate
>mate
Not mine thank god you third world trash

>pixel shooter

>pixel shoot

What does that even mean?

second was for obviously

>So by that logic if people only cared about Omaha because of a movie and a video game then how did it get into a movie and a video game in the first place zoom zoom?
Saving Private Ryan wasn't a video game.
MoH was a series created by Spielberg, the guy behind said movie, and MoHAA was single player focused with nearly all Normandy levels being based on Ryan.

can you play as a female soldier?

Pixel shooter is where you can barely see an enemy so you end up at shooting at tiny pixels
Rb6: Siege is a pixel shooter as nearly every fucking time you are killed, its some dickhead shooting through 2 walls, bending his bullet and hitting the tiniest bit of pixels on your shoulder, killing you instantly

Attached: 1481639814736.jpg (220x220, 10K)

But squads respawns are nowhere near as close to action as rising storm 2, and that alone would cause an immense change in the way people play, causing people to be way more timid and conservative in squad and more reckless in rising storm 2

Maybe the texture thing isn’t wrong but those two games are very different and the gameplay mechanics alone can account for a big amount of the difference in gameplay

RS2 is on UE3

If you can’t now they’ll probably add it eventually

Thanks for reminding me why I probably shouldn’t even bother

>of a movie and a video game
>a movie
>a video game
>Saving Private Ryan wasn't a video game.
Are you literally retarded?

utah... coast?

UE4 feels so bad to be honest, can't fucking play squad or post scriptum in that shit, even arma 3 has less input lag

So how do you prevent that when "extreme ranges" are involved? Got an example of a game that does it well?

You are a brainlet, weapons haven't changed at all in like fucking 70 years

Probally why it plays better than
I prefer RS2 over S & PS. Though I love both S & PS, the whole getting shot out of nowhere because you cant spot the enemy to engine limitations is a fucking pain compared to RS2's
An example of long ranges well? Rising storm series & Hell Let Loose (in OPS title) do longer distances well as you can see actually see shit further than 300m
>Pic related is Squad, try and read anything past 300m

Attached: 20190602162700_1.jpg (1920x1080, 151K)

What is PS?

>$30
maybe if it was cheaper i'd try it

Post Scriptum. S = Squad

Arent they all UE games? Calling it engine limitations doesnt seem apt.

Everyone realized that large player battle games and small playerbase don't mix at all.

You have troubles understanding that one thing which might fit one kind of thing, might not fit the other one. Historical Normandy beach landing is a very shitty setting for multiplayer online shooter.
Just because a bunch of Poles defended themselves for consecutive days on Westerplatte, despite it sounding cool and shit, it won't make it a good online shooter location and no one would even think of it to make it into game.
People only care about Omaha in video games because of Saving Private Ryan. Why do you think there's Omaha in Days of War? They wanted to use it as a free publicity due to muh Saving Private Ryan.

Is Hell Let Loose the name of the game? I didn't even know it exists.

Personally, I'm really digging the game. Some of the most fun I had when everyone communicates and works together.

>a map with good defense is bad gameplay

What the fuck is this shit

Just give the offensive team more lives so they have time to get gud and work past the hard part. Then it feels incredibly rewarding when you finally win. Maps don’t have to all have the same rules. Some of the best fun I had was in day of infamy on the D-day map they had and that was only like 20 players

You have troubles understanding that you are a fucking mong

And like 90% of DoI Dog Red matches ends up with allies being unable to take even 1 point. It's one of reasons why this game is dead. People keep voting for Crete and Dog Red, both flawed maps where attackers can't even go one step behind some objectives due to retarded spawn protection.

Lol wtf, any realistic battle is a shitty setting for multiplayer online shooter, that's why games take freedom to design the maps, or you think post scriptum maps from arnhem to renkum are realistic setups? lmfao

>another ww2 fps
it was 70 years ago, why do you niggers like it so much

There's no much you can do when the selling point of your game is being super realistic and even vidya gamed version of location in multiple games doesn't play well.

Super Mario Odyssey runs on Unreal Engine 4, retard

More like most developers don't know how to optimize and handle fuck-huge maps. You don't blame the engine.

Fighting literal Nazis or playing as literal Nazis.

Sorry I sort of clarified that here

RS2 suffers from the same shit and the only reason you haven't realized it is because the maps are much smaller than most milsims. RO2 for all its flaws actually found a solution to this by adding fog past a certain distance, not adding gratuitous amounts of cover, and adding shift zoom so richfags with expensive monitors don't have a massive edge. Why RS2 removed all these things I don't know but the game is worse off for it.

Well it does it well as it makes it playable, unlike Squads 'Fighting anything past 300m? Good luck seeing it, even if its on an open field with nothing blocking your LOS'

Attached: 1490105051379.png (501x445, 192K)

Isn't RS2 still on UE3?

>so richfags with expensive monitors don't have a massive edge.
That's why I use Glassbrick with every milsim game I play. Makes it way easier to aim at a 2x3 group of blurry pixels when you can zoom way the fuck in and adjust your sensitivity on the fly.

It is. Not that it makes a difference. UE has always had problems with texture pop in.

>such primitive blammy sticks as found in the 1940s
To this day no army has ever managed to fit their troops with a full power caliber, full auto-capable rifle that has as little recoil has the FG42. Quite remarkable, honestly.

Sounds like zoomers are enjoying life more than I am

>Early Access
Been burned by that a few too many times to keep buying them, by the time the game is officially out the playerbase will be dead.

Where the fuck are you from that your country didn't participate in WWII?
Even my war-filled fucking desert land. that I come rom participated in WWII
You're either extremely ignorant on your country's own history, or you come from some fucking small island near Australia.
At which case, why the fuck are you posting in a WWII thread?

Attached: Concern.jpg (443x503, 80K)

My friend, it was on sale for 19.99 very recently. The base price is only 29.99$. I'm sorry to inform you, but you are a poor.

Maybe he's a mountain jew.

Neat.
Haven't played this game but it looks like it might be fun. What's the map variety like? From what I've seen so far there are only maps set in the Ardennes so far, plus the new map at Omaha.
Are they planning to add more D-Day stuff in the future? I'd love to see Pointe Du Hoc.

Me too. Even bought a mic just for HLL. Although I'm not a big fan of the D-day map (Hürtgen forest is the best).

That still sounds like a developer problem w/ not using LoD models at distance.

It's too expensive for another multiplayer only shooter. I don't really get a new experience of out them anyway.

play war thunder in realistic ground mode and you'll know

>they included the balloons
Nice touch, but it would be cool if they weren't just props.

Map variety is basically just country side Europe. Even the D-day map is mostly fighting around green farmhouses once you get off the beach. I like the maps but you aren't fighting in Africa or Italy yet.

I have plenty of money but when you own 500+ games you have to be picky about what's worth it my friend, and this isn't.

...

Not him but I'm from Spain and aside from sending a few soldiers to help Germany we didn't do much in WWII, since we had a civil war right before WWII started.

...

>perform awful in every other department
Like what? It all depends on how good/bad coders are on a dev team. Thats all.

Attached: 15296180212250.gif (487x560, 898K)

>I like the maps but you aren't fighting in Africa or Italy yet.
Damn shame.
I wish more games would go for shit like Africa, Italy, Greece and Finland. I really liked Forgotten Hope 2 for that reason.
And don't even get me started on the Pacific Theatre. Sure, you get some Iwo Jima or island hopping here and there, but I don't think I've ever seen the Phillipines, Malaya, Burma or the Dutch East-Indies done.

>Arcade ground is a joke
>Realistic is pixel hunting
>Nothing in between

That call of duty battle royale has zombies in certain areas.

your average zoomer thinks d-day was the start of WW2, they dont care about this. BF1 still has a pretty dedicated boomer community, join us

...

shooting bots is kind of lame

Man, you just instantly brought back a shitload of good memories. I want to go back, friend :(

>mouse feel
jesus christ faggot

and it shows you retarded aspie

wtf does a music streaming service have to do with zoomers?

or get premium shit ))))))

what a breath of fresh air on the war gaming front

based

Attached: wrong! this man is deceased.png (191x170, 61K)

that's why most heavy machine guns are based (or even literal variants) of mg42, hmmm?

been there done that in day of infamy , D-day maps suck

>Battlefront has no enemies these days

The Capital Supremacy game mode has a bunch of bots on each team. They're fairly aggressive too, I've seen them trying to take command posts on the other side of the map from their team's spawn.

Maybe
Yeah but I've yet to meet a Spaniard that hasn't had some weird obsession or fascination with WWII, so I kinda ruled Spaniards out mentally in my head.

I think it's mostly because the primary market for WWII shooters is the USA, where people are infamous for their extremely poor knowledge of history beyond a few key points, leading to those few scenarios being endlessly repeated because your typical American gamer begins to switch off as soon as the game moves away from Saving Private Ryan.

Playing as a bunch of Australians squaring off against HALF A MILLION ANGRY JAPS in a steaming jungle shithole would be cool, but it's too obscure to be profitable so it'll never get done.

>mp game
>not fortnite
its dead on arrival

ma deuce.
OVER 100 YEARS OF SERVICE
SERVED SINCE WW1
GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS
USMC MP '87-'88

the only true exception to it.
reminder US tried a 50cal mg42 prototype which didn't get accepted due to having too many deuces

I prefer games like this to AAA shite, shut your fucking mouth faggot you speak for no one

i played hundreds of hours of heroes of stalingrad
i lost my patience with tripwire years ago after they just abandoned the game shortly after releasing the final patch which fucked maps and glitched some things out (gumrak map being a prime example)
i absolutely love the game, but im going to keep playing hell let loose until they get around to fixing the shit they broke and then didnt bother fixing (note for you new guys, tripwire does this every time they release the final patch for a red orchestra style game)

Shooters are boring

Just bought it.
It's pretty fun when it goes right, but too often you just can't see anything at range thanks to atrocious ue4 anti aliasing turning the world into shimmering minecraft graphics, with more blur than a nineties britrock spotify playlist.

The sheer amount of jogging you do is irritating simply because of how quickly you die, and the absolute reliance on good squads, working together to put down spawn points kills a lot of the fun, since it is pretty rare.

I joined a chink server for the lols and got like 40 kills to 2 deaths by simply flanking. Those retards run in a wave at each other, just like irl. It was amusing.

But yeah, in all, it could almost stand to be a little LESS realistic - maybe make the bullets a tad less lethal until they've put in reliable method to get back into the action, or fixed visibility at range.

Those things were glorified props anyway

I never wanted 50 vs 50. I learned long ago even 16 vs 16 was a gay meme

pic is inaccurate unless reaper also kills himself

lol

>larp

>Live Action

Now you don't have to sound retarded. You're welcome.

I just want to play a military shooter without milsim faggotry

This would have been the hottest game of 2004

I'm pretty sure a lot of the old Cawadoodies still have fairly active online

But if I play the Germans a white girl will get mad at me.

fuck you I loved RPG/Nade/Sniper the German MG nests while prone behind a sand berm in DOD1.3 go fuck yourself

I wonder why.
'Little' is relatively speaking, FYI.

Hell Let Loose, in it's current state, is completely overrated by anyone not claiming that it's a highly mediocre, highly WIP Early Access title. It's like a cheap WWII clone of Post Scriptum, itself a mod WWII mod of Squad, which is just a horrible UE4 rip-off of Project Reality.

t. kiddo whose great grandpa spent WW2 licking German boots

nobody likes those games
those that want their currentgen WW2 fix will just play BFV, because it's objectively the superior WW2 experience right now
only autists and forumdads play these games
and with no surprise they're extremely elitistic and annoying

he's not wrong

>Hell Let Loose
>CoD WW2
>Battlefield V
>Battalion 1944
>Post Scriptum
>Days of War
>Fog of War
>Easy Red
>Heroes & Generals
>Day of Infamy
We are infested with ww2 multiplayer, and what's worse, they always repeat same overused battles - d-day, battle of the bulge etc.
