It's not groundbreaking. Taking bullet hell concepts into an RPG was real neato, but it's not groundbreaking like people treat it.
It's not bad, either, though. Maybe a bit generic for some or even boring or preachy, but I don't think there's a ton that disqualifies it from its own quality.

I just finished my first playthrough, late to the party I know. I quite liked it actually, I immediately looked up the alt endings as I got a neutral even though I spared most enemies later on, only killed some at the start when I didn't know better. It's the characters and music that make this game really, they are both very well written. Unfortunately the charisma of the cast brings out the autismo fanbase as they see them as their new friends they never had and will defend them like waifus.
