pirated and finished it when it released. It's probably not the worst, but goddamn it's bad. Combat was shit, there are only about 4-5 monsters you see over and over for the whole fucking game and they're all bad. Having to drag a fucking marker on a map for every single thing didn't feel like detective work, they just gave you two streets and you had to play where's waldo on the fucking map, just plain tedious. Sanity meter didn't add anything to the game, and choices in the cases don't fucking matter. You get the same 3 buttons to pick your ending. Another smash hit for Epic.

I played and enjoyed it thoroughly. The story was awesome, full of twists and excellent atmosphere. Traveling sucked in the game, but once you unlock all the fast travel points it's easy.

It's an indie studios first game with combat, give them a break, more awesomeness will come.

On top of that the so called investigations all boil down to going to the same looking house #788, fighting the same 4 monsters again, ideally by stunlocking them with your trusty shovel, picking up every object inside, figuring out what happened and then having to go through a pointless order three scenes correctly minigame so your braindamaged avatar can reach the correct conclusion too.

This was so fucking shit. 99% of the time the scenes were all ordered and lined up in the order you were supposed to arrange them

You didn't even need to know what the scenes were most the time to get the order.
