I think Goron is overdone. There are so many other species in Zelda that Link could start off as.

Man, think of the state of the Zelda franchise before Majoras Mask. You'd say the exact same thing about him turning into a Deku Scrub, Goron and Zora. It'd be too far out.

I wouldn't be surprised if they're back in BotW2, they're the fifth intelligent race that most people are familiar with.

They should just make a game about getting hyrules best warriors to help wake link up. Have the first half of the game be about your player made character then either switch to link or unlock a full story for him or the other way around where beating the game lets you unlock the ability to play as other races. The issue being you would need to make a lot more content or to make the puzzles be able to be solved using each races main ability. Gorons being able to roll and lift heavy objects/ Zoras swimming and the boomerangs. Lizalfos being able to jump really high/ etc.

What do you think a lady goron would look like?

Gorons are honorable and chill, but a little dumb. They're semi-lazy stoner types with a bit of warrior/sumo/market culture.
They're definitely closest to friendly/hard working black people with a bit of Japanese/Tribal influence as far as real life comparisons/stereotypes go.

Hylians are Medieval White or Hapa, Sheikah are Asian/Native American, Gerudo are Arab, Kokiri/Korok are Celtic type fairies, Zora are a mix of Medieval White/Elf/Mermaid, Deku are Jews/Tribal.
Indian's don't really seem to have a parallel, maybe Mogma.

Lizalfos are weird because the Zora lore also has them as a separate race they're in war with, and Yiga are very much their own thing and Ganon still revives them

Hyrule Warriors drips with fan service and references, down to the individual attacks of different weapons. It's a massive Zelda love letter wrapped in Warriors combat.

One strange thing about the Zelda series is how nobody seems to be looking for the reincarnations of Link. People just remark on how you look like the Hero of time.

It'd be funny if everyone was looking for the Hylian reincarnation of Link, only for him to be reborn as a different species this time. Maybe there could even be a Hylian who everyone thinks is the Hero of Time, when it's actually Goron Link.

I really want a future Zelda game that explores what the afterlife in the Zelda universe is like.

They added a sixth, the buck toothed red nigger imps from the Wind Waker. Koei were given an IP and told to put it into the only genre they make now, Dynasty Warriors. It sells, and has sold for 20 years now on the promise of your chosen characters massacring thousands of enemies while you duel yourself on battlefields while searching for weapon upgrades. If it doesnt make sense to you, that's ok, you aren't in the core audience of people who've bought 5 or more of these titles.
