Probably morning or evening since most of my days in a general variety are busy mid-day
probably around 9 pm to 2 am to cool off from programmings work
Overnight shift is hell.
Mid-day jap and/or korean time. I've started playing games on jap and korean servers, I tend to get much worse players and I feel significantly better about myself. So long as i'm not playing ASSFAGGOTS.
1pm to 7pm, then I go to sleep and head back to work at 4am.
I'm on my lunch break.
Favorite is early weekend mornings. I usually wake up around 5, spend an hour or so making a big breakfast, then play games until noon. Maximum comfy.
Weekdays, usually 6:30-9
6 am~10 am
becasue I can play it with fresh mind
Overnight security is the comfiest job
>plenty of time to play vidya or watch movies
>your rounds are basically your hourly 'take 15 minutes break from the screen'
>no need to deal with other people
good shit
if you work at night you get cancer
Drink coffee.
I just can't play during the day, even when I don't have work. I feel I'm "wasting time" when I could be doing something constructive instead. So I only play between 9-12 pm
I don't like it, nor do I need it. It's still a shit schedule.
What about when you actually have to deal people and they're total wackos
How much do you make?
night time mostly. 6pm to 1AM usually. I have a hard time playing stuff in the morning because of some rules growing up I can't break the habit of.
kill them.
Is this what your vegan holistic stepmom tells you?
40k a year.
Same lad. Work nights as a waste water operator at a municipal plant. Sit in the control room, do my rounds every 2 hours, which takes 20 minutes. 4 12 hour shifts a week, so 3 day weekend every week. Just listen for alarms, and I can do anything but sleep. We have a small gym, bought a laptop for some simple games and movies, brought in my gamecube to play games, comfy as shit. Anything breaks, call the service company, I'm not there to fix or clean anything.
Trying to play in the day gives me a horrible anxious feeling. night time is the only comfy time for me. I like playing knowing i wont be disturbed too
night shift is easy, if you live the night shift life
No, it's a literal fact. human body is supposed to be rest at night.
Sleeping during the day and staying awake overnight fucks with your circadian rhythm, which does actually have adverse effects on your body. I don't know about cancer, but it does mess you up if you do it for the long term.
From 4 to 9:30 PM on weekdays, with breaks in between for making dinner.
On weekends I'm most likely playing from when I wake up to when I go to bed.
i can only play at the weekend because
a) i'm too tired after work during the week and don't have enough time
b) if i do i end up staying up too late and then can't sleep because of the adrenaline because games get me going like that
being a wagecuck is fucking awful
I work nights at the hospital doing xrays, getting paid 10 dollars more an hour than day shift people. It's pretty good. I play a lot of vidya and I have another excuse to not do something when I don't want to.
I play on the weekends and after work. It varies from about 2 hours on weekdays to 4-6 hours on weekends. I wish I had a gf
You know a little, but not the full picture. Circadian rhythm is as changeable as the wind. People can infinitely adjust to moving to different time zones every 2 weeks. You can set your rhythm to be for night or day.
Explain
>get hired for night shift along with 3 other guys
>5pm-5am
>was full neet so I was perfectly fine
>the other 3 guys took months to get used to working at that time
lel
I get home play for 3 hours then die every single day except when I work on Saturday
>a) i'm too tired after work during the week and don't have enough time
I hope your shift is 12+ hours or you're a fucking pussy lad
no games before school, I don't like playing stuff before noon on the weekdays.
>You know a little
I'M A LITERAL DOCTOR
>favorite time to play vidya
6am to 10pm
>how long do you usually play
16 hours
This. its just about making sure you get enough sun with the limited time you have, and sleeping in as dark a room as possible.

I work second shift, mostly from 2:30PM-11PM but sometimes it can change wildly. My "circadian rhythm" is fucked whenever I have to do a standard wagie shift that requires me to wake up before 10AM. I did that for several months instead of my usual shifts and my body was all kinds of fucked up and I couldn't get used to it all. You can tout facts and sources all you want about how "you should be waking up sunrise and going to bed after sunset :^)" until you're blue in the face; it straight up is not the case for me and that working in accordance with that for only two months royally fucked me up.
>no conclusion
fuck you
t. retard who doesn't actually know anything about physiology. To not mess up your circadian rhythm in this sense of yours you actually have to emulate sleeping in a dark room because your body makes a lot of Melatonin at night to help you fall asleep, and you lose out on vitamin c from the sun because you just spend all your time sleeping during the day time. The circadian rhythm is not a meme.
>People can infinitely adjust to moving to different time zones every 2 weeks.
This is only if you actually keep with the typical method of sleeping when its dark and staying awake then its day time. thousands of years of a specific sleep schedule and you think you can just flip it on its head at the drop of a hat and have no issues?
based
>12h night shifts for 7 years now
You get used to it. Better than waking up at 5am at least.
I've been doing night shift for over a year and i'm still not used to it, and I never will be. I can tell. I'm way too tired, even when I sleep for 8 hours after coming back from work. I can't help but also spend my days off as if I don't work night shift (sleep at night, etc).
Only problem with working nights are family.
>"Hey, so and so is having a party want to come?"
>No
>"But why?"
>Because its early afternoon and I'll be asleep
Its like I've been working nights for years, but why is it a big surprise that this is my answer every time you ask?
people shouldn't work at night
you're being jewed
I agree, but not having to deal with traffic or other people is too good to pass up.
I pussied out on Amazon when they provided 12 hours for only 3 fucking days. I honestly was chilling, could get more with over-time, and I got lazy. Yeah, there's the paranoia on news about how some facilities treat their workers but damn man, I wasn't worrying about anything and could have a decent life.
I really just gave up on $900-1000 checks.
>spends the night playing videogames
some people are better cut for nightshifts. If anything, nightshifts should be better paid due to health issues in the future
I'm good with like 5h of sleep and no problems with normal schedule at days off. Usually have big headache in middle of week tho so i suppose it's slowly killing me but it can't be helped. I hate waking up early and when i had normal job before this i was always dead till like 10am so i'm trying to hold to this one for now.
Where do you work that you can sit there and play vidya? I'm lucky if I can finish a round of Tetris on my phone.
Health wise sure but I hate people and fuck traffic so I'll take it for my fucking sanity
Any job that is overnight and doesn't require working in a warehouse or factory. Things that peoples mentioned ITT, like overnight security or something like a hotel Night Auditor. You spend most of the night not having to do anything, but you get paid anyway.
I was working to jobs just to pull a €1000 salery for 2 years. It was pretty shitty especially when they extended my shifts by one hour which forced me to just 5 hours of rest if I was lucky.
On Sunday I was completely dead, I had no will power to play vidya or go out.
I couldn't work nightshift after a year. I was doing 12hr 7-7 nights, alernating 2 days on 3 days off 3 days on 2 days off in a NOC. It fucking drained me. Although I will say it gave me a lot of time to learn how to code and webdev.
I haven't played vidya in roughly 37 weeks. I'm bored of everything I've played and nothing coming out looks worth my time.
If you're young you have a good chance, need to check on what openings are available in your area. In the US, the median age of a waste water operator is the mid 50's, its one of those careers that people tend to switch to once they get older. I started when I was in my mid 20's, they've not only paid for me to upgrade my licenses every other year, they give me a pay bump when I get the upgrade as well. Make $42 an hour now with one more level to go (currently have a grade 6 combined industrial and municipal license, need to work 1,200 more hours to qualify to sit for the grade 7 license exam).
I don't know what I wanted, to be perfectly honest. it does sound very shitty, but I should have at least stayed a year and saved a lot of money, I'm not very good at saving at all until I read about Dave Ramsey. I use to work at a Movie Theater before all this crap and I genuinely fucking loved it, couldn't care if I was getting paid $200-$300 between pay checks, as long as I had my movies.
I pussied out on that, because someone convinced me that it's depressing for someone to still be in their late 20's and work there. What the fuck? Does nobody think that every job is a potential career? Manager? General Manger? Corporate? Now I work at a Pizzeria, but that mentality still gets me. It's so dumb and I regret ever getting hyped up on money and image. I gave up on what I loved the most.
It seems like the trend these days is to hop between jobs instead of making the best of it.
I do 4 8-hour shifts a week as a nightime prep cook at a hotel, and I really only work 5 of those 8 hours. I get to nap, take an extended lunch, and even edit youtube videos in my spare time. Sometimes I go to bed later than I should, but i still get a good amount of sleep and I don't take the extra free time for granted.
Gaming at night is the best, so having a nightime job puts my sleep schedule in the right order to game all night. The problem arises if I get home in the morning and play too much vidya, then my sleep schedule gets wierd for the week.
>It seems like the trend these days is to hop between jobs instead of making the best of it.
Unfortunately that came about due in part to the '08 financial crash. Older people who lost a good deal of their retirement from their portfolios who didn't (or could no longer) retire meant less chance for advancement in companies. Couple that with high unemployment and you have a job market that was ideal for companies. Lots of people that need jobs and willing to take low pay just to have one, and why give out raises when you can just hire another entry level schmuck for low pay. Only way to advance your career in decent time was to get hired somewhere and get experience for a year or two to pad your resume then jump ship for a pay bump, repeat.
>work nights
>set my nights off for raid nights
>wake up at my normal time as if I was going to work, its an hour before the first raids start
>when the early risers are switching out for the late night raiders you're not even at mid shift yet
its pretty comfy. only thing that sucks is trying to group up after work, you either get kids gaming before school or aussies. i don't mind aussies and the bantz, its the lag i can do without.
why do you work at all?
lolol real facts, sometimes I feel the truth behind my K/D is that I'm smashing children all morning.
>Only way to advance your career in decent time was to get hired somewhere and get experience for a year or two to pad your resume then jump ship for a pay bump, repeat.
And finding a job like that is purely out of a blessing, either connection or just calling directly. The worst thing about the Job Market right now is letting a computer decide applications. All these websites like Indeed or Monster are good for gathering information for Industries, but it couldn't give a shit if you have an Associate's Degree or Bachelor's, the algorithm of said Computer is ridiculous. That's why I prefer to just call directly and ask if I can forward my resume through like Text or E-Mail.
9/10 times I've gotten a job was because I literally asked the manager if they were hiring. Skip the whole process and make a direct impression.
>started working an 8-4 right out of college
>only have a 9 minute drive to and from work everyday
>still have so little free time that trying to relax during the week feels pointless
How the fuck do people do it?
40 hours a week seems like giving up your entire life for your job, I can't even imagine being someone that works more than that.
Why is working for so much time seen as normal?
I tell people that my professional goal is to work less and have more free time and they look at me like I'm fucking insane.
>day 1 of night shift
thankfully my boss has enough braincells to rub together to give enough time to recuperate afterwards, but it is pretty tough
So, that's really what it is at the end. what did you ask? Is it pretty much "Hey, if you're hiring, is it possible to do an interview sooner?"
This feeling's relatable to everyone.
I only play when it gets dark, even though I work at home about 2 to 3 days a week. I'm too much of an autist to get back into a game when I've been interrupted and nighttime is best time.
I've had people come in and ask me the same thing, I don't pay much attention to resumes and rather do the whole process in person. So yes, this is correct for at least some places, I'd wager more often than not. People over think the hiring process, I don't like seeing people dressed all fake and formal.

in his defense he never said anything about the sun, so he couldve just left that out because thats common sense. no need to call him a retard for no reason. what he said is correct. it doesnt matter when you get the sunlight as long as you get it 20 minutes a day
I work between 11:30 am - 5:00 pm and 2:00 am - 5:00 am tonight. Is this considered difficult?
The entire day, from the moment I get out of bed to when I go to sleep.
Being a neet hurts sometimes.
