Initial D is cool but overrated to hell by carfags, the anime isn't even enjoyable because all the car are CG.
I unironically enjoyed more the shitty badly lips synced Chinese movie than the anime.

its the game that introduced all of the shitty aspects that ruined the x series
>every level is broken up by loading screens, killing the pacing of each stage and slowing down the action
>way too much unnecessary shitty story bogging down everything. every boss has a bunch of unskippable dialogue, nothing they say actually fucking matters
>terrible voice acting, again another unnecessary addition. the cutscenes are animated well, but the voicework is simply atrocious
>special weapons are useless, none of the boss weapons are remotely interesting or useful and they actively make fights against most bosses take longer. the x buster is actually the best weapon for most situations
>the focus begins shifting towards zero instead of x as the main character. ever since x4, zero has shoved x out of the spotlight of his own fucking games
