And that "Gray shit" is why GTAIII > GTAIV. The art design gave me more of a feeling of gritty urban decay than anything the improved graphics of IV could.

The only VCS track that was great is A Forest by The Cure.

Greed. Rockstar doesn't want to license songs that cost too much. Having said that, I'm sure that a lot of artists/record companies have asked for exorbitant amounts to license their songs to them as well, knowing how much money GTA games make.

Probably more expensive to licence good songs now, especially now that everyone knows how much money R* makes with these games
