Well not assassin"s or thieves but the edgy classes in Etrian Odyssey has some really good poison going on
And of course the edgiest of them all, Riki in Xenoblade Chronicles, land a poison on a x5 chain attack and bosses melts right in front of your eyes
world of warcraft
Etrian Odyssey IV
Venom Throw is the game's "I Win" button
Easy. Assassination rogue from WoW.
What do I win?

Divide + Toxic Dagger into Victimiser makes Erik the best damage dealer in the game by a landslide.

What are some games where assassin/thief poison skills ARE useless?
Every game not listed in this thread.
Final fantasy 13 has pretty good poison.
At this point the term RPG gets slapped on anything with a skilltree.
Can anyone give an example of a game where this stupid nigger class isn't completely broken? Every dev that's put this 12-year-old's power fantasy into their game has managed to fuck it up without exception
kill yourself lowIQ wowcuck
age of decadence
FF1. Thief is pretty shitty.
PoE
>tfw you realized the final boss can actually be affected by status effects
>tfw watching Erik fucking melt him
In some iterations of Ultima poison was an absolute death sentence without very specific gear.
In VII its laughable.
In Darkest Dungeon you can stack the effects of poison to do some huge DoT each turn. Works great because physical hits can vary widely in their effectiveness but once you poison an enemy it's guaranteed and consistent damage each turn it lasts.
Pokemon
Dark Souls 2
Morrowind, paralysis poison is STUPID, fucking assassins with those glass daggers of FUCK YOU
>Golden Sun
>many bosses are susceptible to deadly poison
>poison in the game damages a % of HP so it does atrociously high damage and kills pretty much any boss it can hit in a few turns
underrated
man i loved this game.
You can't apply poisons to weapons in Morrowind tho, the paralysis effect is from the enchantment on the glass dagger
>aspyr
Path of exile, currently doing a build that focuses on poison and damage over time and it's pretty effective.
scaring babies and spreading rabies.
