You have to fuck around with WAR/DRK cds to get them to line up with party.

PLD you just do the same fucking rotation forever and everything lines up. GNB is the same but at least continuation is kinda fun. You'll probably like GNB the most if you're sick of 1-2-3, but really, it's inescapable as a tank.

GBN is pretty fun since all the rotations follow a formula but can be semi flexible(though not optimal in all but 1 or 2 agreed setups)
Its basically focused around popping No Mercy and trying to see how many OGCDs you can weave between Continuations shit and trying to get as many charges as possible for 3 BSs while on the tail end of NMs window all the while. At least from what I noticed from all the rotations coming out of the raidtranny community.
PLD just plays buff pingpong with skills under FoF then spells under Reli. Both are fun in their own way.

having played RDm and DNC, imo DNC is easier by miles.
RDM has room to improve with its skill ceiling, that most peopel dont know about (such as manafication being done as close to 50/50, instead of 40/40, and heavy movement situations where u almost have to act like a BLm for second, in trying to figure out how to manage up time.

DNC doesnt have to worry about casts, nor does it have options like manafication to make on the fly decisions.

both are easy, and both lack punishment for playing badly, but DNC literally has no where to go. Where as RDm still had plenty of trick to master, all of less than a 1% DPS increase.

That looks stable on the market but since you sacrificed your potential industry I'll admit mine Stiperstone. It was a few days ago when I last sold it given I was grinding to get to 80 but I remember it was a consistently sold product for me. Might take a day or two but it sold while other ores I looked at would plummet down to 200 or something. Looking at the history and all of the 26th I see 1000, 950-995, and high quality ones in the 1000 to 1800 range.

Waters have been an odd one for me. Highland is crashed, Underground and everressant history wise seems to stay around or above 1000.

With Eden gear and a mix of 60-40-20 melds I've gotten down to 2.03 (I swore I saw 2.02 but must have been a dancer buff) and 2017 attack speed.

Being a turret is one thing but usually what seems to happen is not having the proper tools to handle when you actually need to move and thus it feels shit. Going to use WoW but Elemental Shaman is a fun turret DPS but when you need to move you basically have shitty options to do so which sours the whole thing.

The 2.05/2.06 GCD is to line shit up with raid buffs, you're right going faster isn't a giant DPS loss but going any faster is very minimal gains in DPS for throwing yourself off of raid buffs which might result in a DPS loss. And raid buffs doesn't just mean trick that includes brotherhood, litany, devotion, embolden et cetera.

In a similar vein, is there a resource somewhere that I can use to determine what stats each job wants most? I don't think I'm anywhere near the point where Materia melding is worth using, but I'd like to be able to plan ahead if possible.

It's multiplicative, so you want to partner with the hardest hitting jobs so they can make the best use of it. That said, if the BLM is dying a lot, you're better off partnering to someone else. Its kind of tough to gauge who to partner to without parsing, but you can always check everyone's item levels

Even if you were buffed to BLM levels, you'd still be in the shed since MNK+DRG are the new NIN+DRG unless NIN gets buffed immensevely in 5.05, then it's business as usual.

By 70 you've got Bow Shock as an AoE DoT and once it hits 70 you get Continuation, and suddenly you've changed your cartridge combo from an alternate 1-2-3 to 1-4-2-4-3-4. It feels complete at 72 when it gets Fated Circle, its AoE cartridge spender.

AST has always been the most complicated healer to play at a high level. Only brainlets and shitters would out themselves saying WHM or SCH or even most dps jobs were harder. ShB AST is even more so now even with the simplified card system because of much advance planning you have to do to even effenciently heal now without using GCD healing. WHM & SCH oGCDs heal everything without a single thought.

GNB's designed around single-weaving, use Sonic Break after an oGCD or vice-versa.

AST healing isn't even that bad.
WHM just has their stronger healing always available and holy to stun big packs in dungeons and SCH has lots of low cooldown healing options.

For example in a dungeon, WHM and AST will proceed the same way. Place a regen on tank and manage their ogcd heals like tetra/ED, assize/earthly star, asylum/CO/CI accordingly.
The only difference in this scenario is that holy stuns so WHM healing feels stronger but potency wise AST is healing more than the WHM.

Get Mudfish my guy. I had the same issue and now I can Double weave/HC weave/6 GCD Wildfire with time to spare; it's dumb cheap too, I put in 3 bucks of credit and 4 days of playing used 8 cents of it.

2nd is ED at 1000 potency 40s cd (can stack 2x)
3rd is excog at 850 potency 45s cd
4th is tetra at 700 potency 60s cd

If we consider benediction cd, then ED is the strongest single target ogcd.

WHM oGCD heals are not great and the afflatus spells strength lies in refunding GCDs for a nuke. Unless you consider that still "DPS".

AST literally heals more than WHM right now and through ogcds. If you think WHM doesn't stop dpsing because of stronger heals then you need to get good on AST because AST heals more.
