I would never play a game where it's even theoretically possible for somebody to ban me.

I'd say this is a big thing. People have gotten so used to matchmaking and demanding that developers police their games, and what's the result? Broken garbage reporting systems and developers claiming that they're too busy babysitting to actually make content. Back in the day, if you couldn't bear to waste another minute of your life in someone's virtual company (assuming you didn't just hit mute and get on with your day), you'd just open up the menu and pick any result but the one you're currently on.

Make it so that a ban from matchmaking doesn't ban you from any other servers. The problem will solve itself in no time.
