-Getting Gravity Gun
-Ravenholm
-Getting SUPER gravity gun
-Getting antlion testicles

Shit aspects of HL2
-Everything involving the boat
-Most of the stuff involving the buggy
-Long, unskipable cutscenes
-bad weapon feel with a few exceptions (crossbow, combine rifle alt-fire)

Overall I think the good still outweighs the bad

But the game in your picture looks great.

The only real bad guns in HL2 are the SMG and the starting pistol, everything else is solid or a little weak.

People call the weapons shit because Valve made the primary SMG the "work horse" weapon of the game by giving you 200+ bullets for it and making ammo super common.

That's really the game's primary fault, they should have made the pulse rifle your primary gun as soon as you stopped fighting metro cops.

Game was never good to begin with. The amount of people that suck its dick is mind blowing. I couldnt understand it even back in the day when it came out.

It was literally just copying Halo, but they managed to make a shoddier version of it with vehicles that were even harder to control and less fun to play with.

Some pretty good sound design though for the enemies and acoustics.

i've been stuck in the source era since i don't have money for newer games. tf2, gmod, l4d, i have a lot more older games in my library. I even fell for the fucking DOOM meme and bought the bundle of the original DOOMs when it was on sale, now i have a backlogging nightmare of shitty old boomer games. I tried to like it. but its shit. DOOM 3 would be tolerable if you didn't have to replay a 30 minute level each time you died.

HL2 actually looks more photorealistic than a lot of modern games, graphics wise it honestly aged a lot more gracefully than HL1.
