I've been having the itch to return to project1999, but classic EQ requires such a commitment in time, plus everyone at this point must be fucking loaded. I wish there was a modern MMO that could capture the feel of classic EQ without making it such a timesink. But I guess thats what made it EQ.

Horrendous balancing. ESO, Final Fantasy XIV, and especially WoW are complete nightmares due to poor balancing of classes and skills.
Companies are so obsessed with getting the newest expansions out the door, that they forget the current playerbase is growing disgruntled with now bad games.
