Donate? What? Im just asking for people's recommendations. What do you mean?
Camden Smith
Honestly OP, just go to and ask there. I bet you'll get way better responses there.
Good luck with the collectan though and have fun. There are a lot if great games across those 3 systems.
Grayson Rivera
You sound like a fucking retard Don't buy shit Google no-intro download the roms
Charles Edwards
Yeah. there are a lot of greats out there. Might go there and ask too.
James Hall
Im asking because i want to play on real hardware and enjoy the titles as they were intended.
Luke Cruz
Are you young?
Parker Ross
19, and Ive been emulating for years, I just want to get into collecting in general, and want to use Gameboy as a ateway drug. I own an N64, but i rarely play it considering i dont own a CRT. I figure a handheld would negate that whole issue.
Parker Perry
This right here's one of my favorite YouTube personalities.
He can give you all the tips and tricks to collecting anything and everything Nintendo!
Let me start you out with this one about general collecting - BUT also check out his video on the Game Boy Advance Video Cartridges. He's the only person I know of that has a full collection of the Game Boy Advance Video cartridges too!
I suggest you collect your favorite titles that you have played and enjoyed
Hudson Smith
I love Nintendrew, I had no idea he did a video covering this! Thanks for the help. I'll def have to give that video a look.
Aiden Brown
Well im not terribly familiar with a lot of it outside the mario land games, pokemon, Wario Ware, Kirby, and zelda. I want to get into advanced wars but im not sure about that.
Plus im obviously going to get the Rareware titles for GBA and maybe some metroid? im not terribly into metroid though.
Henry Hernandez
You can buy an EON for your N64 for 150 bucks.
Carter Cook
>EON for your N64 Didnt eve think about it lol.
Lucas Smith
Hit up Goodwill, Salvation Army, any thrift store you have nearby or come across. 99% of the time you'll find nothing, but that one time you come across gold, it'll make everything okay with the world for a few fleeting seconds.
Zachary Phillips
Didnt know goodwill or salvation army took that kind of stuff
Elijah Reed
>game suggestions For the original GB: Donkey Kong '94 Super Mario Land 1-3 Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge Gargoyle's Quest Kirby's Dream Land 2 Mega Man V Metroid II Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters
For the GBA: Mega Man Zero 1-4 Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow and Circle of the Moon Ninja Five-O Astro Boy: Omega Factor
Matthew Martin
Sounds like a solid list
Hunter Adams
For Gameboy: Super Mario Land 1+2 Kirby's Dreamland 1+2, and Blockball Mega Man I-V (you could skip II because it's not as good) Bomberman GB 2+3 (3 is Japan only, but good, Wario Blast is fun too) Tetris Those are the Gameboy games I like, but I bet there's other great games other anons will recommend.
Ian Ross
Metal Gear Ghost Babel
Zachary Lopez
But why? Video games rarely appreciate in value. You’re trading your money for junk unless you plan to play all of those games through.
John Reed
I do plan to play them, thats why Im asking for recommendations of games. They arent all going to just sit on te shelf. If I just wanted to get a bunch of games to sit on a shelf, I'd be out just buying random ones with no regard for what they are.
do original cartridges still even work? i remember trying to play pokemon silver when i found my gameboycolor with the game in it when cleaning 4-5 years ago and it wouldnt hold a save.id imagine by now all of em would be like that.
Robert Murphy
Ignore these fucking normies. If you are starting off with $100 then get Link's Awakening DX, the Wario Land games, Mario Land 2, Donkey Kong 1994, and Pokemon Gold/Silver or Crystal if you find it for $20 or less. After that you'll want to get Metal Gear for the GBC, Dragon Warriors, Castlevania Double Pack for the GBA. But those are more expensive. Start with the first recommendations.
Colton Ramirez
No, GSC are the only gameboy cartridges that do that because of the batteries in them being faulty. It can be replaced, though, iirc.
Anthony Gonzalez
A lot of the used market for these have replaced batteries for the saves. Hoping i can score some like that
Kevin Miller
>I plan on starting a GameBoy games collection spanning gb, gbc and gba. I'm going to start soon with $100. Any suggestions you guys have?
Focus on games and peripherals that had special hardware that can’t just be emulated such as Kirby Tilt ‘n Tumble. Get flashcarts for the rest since it’ll save you money and the headache of worrying which of your 40 save batteries went bad since the last time you played with your Game Boys.
Thomas Hughes
For the whole flashcart thing, I'll probably get one to play the super rare stuff, and I'll just wait until i can afford to get physical carts for the rest.
Brandon Brown
please do not post on Yea Forums or /vr/ anymore
Kayden Cooper
Why do you say that? I feel like I've started a very healthy discussion mostly.
Aaron Collins
In the time it took to read this, I downloaded the entire GB library.
