lol no, and if you really think that never play 3's DMD

I think i can agree, yeah.
Certain enemies, once they DT, can take fuckin days to kill

Only goes for V because he has no quick ways to deal with faggots like protos. Dante has real impact and quadruple S, Nero has buster arm and showdown.

nah they're fine.

They're fine for me

if you think the ones for 5s DMD are bad you never played 3s DMD

I've been whailing on the Knights at the end of mission 7 for like 10 minutes now. Shit is boring.

For you

learn to juggle and throw in hard hitting moves. focus the proto before he DTs

Anybody has a pic of Dante's letter from his officer? The one that is full edge.

Attached: tenor (2).gif (498x260, 1.82M)

Use buster arm breakage while in DT against proto before he goes DT. It's pretty much most damaging move in the game.

>Vergil DLC
>the sons of Sparda are in the underworld
>Vergil tells Dante the story of his return to the human world
>mission 1 is mission 20 from dmc3 except you play as Vergil
>mission 2, Vergil fights his way to Mundus's throne, fights lots of nobodies, shadows, death scissors, et cetera just to get stomped by Mundus who breaks the Yamato and enslaves him
>mission 3 is a three-phase rematch with Dante as Nelo Angelo, as Vergil blacks out between each round
>Vergil feels Mundus's grip on him weaken and he breaks free, but he's hunted by the demons and the constant asskicking has spent Vergil's healing factor
>mission 4 is V against Urizen, trying to stop him from raising the Qliphoth and failing
>mission 5 is a brief co-op romp with Dante, he takes up an Angelo greatsword
>Vergil laments that his newfound power comes from Urizen's mass sacrifice of human life
>the cane has fallen into hell, Vergil comments that it came to him in his moments of weakness, but this time, it will be a moment of strength
>Vergil separates his two halves once more in order to earn his power
>mission 6 is V vs Urizen
>V wins, rejoins with Urizen
>this time, the cane bursts open like a cocoon, having absorbed Yamato as well
>a sword emerges from within the cane
>Vergil frees himself and his brother from hell with the Devil Sword Vergil, but not before one last rematch with Dante in mission 7
>Vergil's conscience is cleared, feeling his ill-gotten power is purified and wholly belongs to him
Did I do it good?

this, I dropped a charged buster arm on a Proto in hell and hell and almost one shot him, the damage is bonkers

Otherwise if you can't real impact, hit them with fast hits on the ground until they get knocked over, then launch and run over them with motorcycle overtop gear, shit hits hard

The flashback parts are too ambitious, otherwise it's acceptable.

I just want Vergil. When is Vergil?

never o'clock

There's plenty of people who want to play WITH Vergil. ;)

>DLC is a epilogue in hell with Dante
>They split up and decides to meet up in a certain place
>During the mean time Vergil remember his battle against Mundus, his becoming into NA and his life in hell after DMC1
>During the chapters Vergil meets up with some bosses that remembers how weak Vergil was and makes fun of him
>Vergil punishes these demons by turning them into Devil Arms
>At each boss and chapter more is revealed about Sparda
>Final chapter Vergil turns Yamato into DSV and he meets with Dante
>Ending implies that they want to seal the underworld like Sparda once did
>Mundus shows up
>DLC ends

Sounds cool, but too much V and Urizen and not enough Vergil, and the DLC should explore more of the current time and less of the past. But re-visiting some event between 3 and 5 is cool, but Capcom isn't gonna pull it off unless they give Vergil like 15 original mission.

I wanna believe that dumb greentext spoiler we got. TGS can't come soon enough.

>>mission 2, Vergil fights his way to Mundus's throne, fights lots of nobodies, shadows, death scissors, et cetera just to get stomped by Mundus who breaks the Yamato and enslaves him

You just want to play as Shota Vergil.

>shota

I'm hopeful but not delusional, I want something comes out during TGS but I'm not holding my breath.

DMC5 combat is ba...
youtu.be/eY6BATNOMOA

Sakaki is the most stylish DMC player afaik, period.

they're designed in mind assuming you
>use Dante
>use at least melee 3 weapons, preferably all
>utilize style switching semi-properly
>abuse RG
>use DT frequently
basically it's good, but you have to get good

this applies to Nero as well, you have to abuse the Breakers

now consumables are annoying to use and the equipment management in the game is ass, who the fuck came up with those slow ass menus

I can also see it being an issue with V
but why wouldn't you play Dante lol

I was going through my DMC folder and was reminded of how often vfags and Vergilfags fought after the release of DMC5. It was so fucking stupid to witness.

Attached: 1552457041255.jpg (499x238, 35K)

>fought
It was just one samefag trying to troll.

I don't think it was all a troll. I'm sure there were trolls mixed in. There was at least one Vfag who was really butthurt that V wasn't his own character.

Why exactly? How can you fight against yourself? I undestand Dantefags and Dontefags, but Vergilfags and Vfags? Doesn't make sense.

so just play on a lower difficulty and have fun like I did

It's too bad RE Engine wasn't a thing back then. Young Maxim still would've made a great Vergil.

Attached: canvas.png (747x745, 794K)

>but Vergilfags and Vfags?
You weren't here when they revealed the "tweest"
there was a whole thread with vfags in denial.

ive never gotten an S in one of these games
i just don't get it

There were Vfags rejected the idea that V was Vergil. Up until release they mocked anyone who suggested that as a theory. Even after the game was out and we saw on screen that V was Vergil they still rejected it. They were so butthurt.

Attached: yes V is Vergil.webm (914x504, 2.95M)

I really dislike using Real Impact desu. I tfeels like a crutch. But holy fuck do some enemies like the Angelos bave way too much health to just fight normally.
I also don't really know how to deal with the Nobodies. Seems like there's no real way to stagger them or do more damage, unlike in DMC1.

Thats why you kill them before they DT you silly goose. The DT timer only starts after they take damage for the first time.

SOS is the funnest difficulty.

Itsuno DMD is just a mess desu, the health bars are heavily inflated so that you can get SSStyle fairly without how intricate the combo system is

That's the thing I don't like to do when is DMC related, don't ever say "never ever", how many times has fags said things like these just to be BTFO in the end? Even poor tranny fucker got BTFO by slightly imply it.

Attached: 1563937939416.png (496x507, 580K)

>but why wouldn't you play Dante lol
Because he's not available in every mission

They're not going to remake Dante's superior DMC3 moveset and model just to waste it on a boss fight & they're not going to remake DMC1 dante as a boss either.
retards at capcom can't even model or animate faces anymore so they'd have to find another model for young dante & young vergil and have them re-enact all of the scenes in mission 20 & nelo angelo fights.
they'd also never do anything cool like let us play as Nelo Angelo again. that's old capcom. not to mention they'd ruin all the designs, costumes and architecture in the shitty new engine.

DEAD DEAD DEAD

Also WHY IN THE ABSOLUTE FUCK WOULD YOU EVER SUBJECT US TO MORE AWFUL V GAMEPLAY??

Attached: F1C23904-6396-4308-9230-5406528122DB.jpg (1360x768, 465K)

Yeah and the devil bringer isn't coming back either right?

Kind of hope in the future Nero learns how to just temporarily transform his arms.
Instead of getting a gauntlet devil Arm he just DT's his fists and uses them like Ifrit.

Remember how the devil bringer gained abilities by absorbing demonic objects?
Remember how people made devil breaker switching mods and they make the gameplay a thousand times better? all they needed was for breakaway and break age to cost appropriate devil trigger.
Remember how capcom forgot that item management, organisation and usage was bad design in an action & a huge fucking waste of time?

>all they needed was for breakaway and break age to cost appropriate devil trigger.
Not only would that make them broken, but Nero doesn't have DT for the first campaign.

Breakers being expendable is fine. What they should do is make breaker equipping manual so you can choose which arm in your magazine to equip after you're done with your current one, so there's no need to stick so hard to a plan.

>can't even model or animate faces anymore so they'd have to find another model for young dante & young vergil and have them re-enact all of the scenes

They don't need to hire new models to reenact those scenes. It wouldn't be that hard to make Vergil and Dante's current models look younger. All it would take is to retexture them. Then Dan and Reuben can still just do the mo-cap. Why would the models ever do that? They're already reenacting the events of DMC3 for the upcoming mobile game. A lot of the scenes in DMC5 came out really well and were expressive.

Personally I just would've liked if he kept absoring stuff like in 4.
If Nero beat Cavalierre he could have gotten something like Overture + a ranged electric blast.

>dmc thread
home.
and yes, DMD in this game is unironically broken. most fights drag on for too long (ESPECIALLY against scudo & proto angelos. holy fuck)

I'm already losing it at bloody palace boss health bars, don't think I'll do dmd

I actually thought this game has the best DMD out of Itsuno's DMCs (haven't played 1 on DMD yet), 3's just makes everything a damage sponge unless you use DTE which isn't fun and 4's is piss easy except for the shitty sword bird room "boss" fight. 5's felt challenging but reasonable and the few enemies that do become ridiculous damage sponges feel more appropriate since Nero and Dante have some very powerful tools especially if you're willing to take a few risks. V wasn't great though, I don't hate playing as him and didn't think his missions were too hard except maybe the boss rush but I think his gameplay just doesn't have much variation to it.

Also would you guys say HoH is harder or easier than DMD? I do still kind of want a more masochistic difficulty to bash my head against like 3's DMD and I'm going to try that one next.

I like this mechanic too, but the reason he needed Devil Breakers in the first place was because he lost Devil Bringer and couldn't absorb things with it anymore

I hope if Nero shows up in another game they have it return.
Combine it with the amulet from 2, and have Nero's DT evolve during the game while they're at it.

so? the start is just a shitty tutorial. give us the good version when nico makes new breakers that aren't shit & the main game starts or at least give advanced players the option. and NO. equipping 8 punchlines is broken. this would be much more balanced.

I like fourth a lot.

So it were the ugly claws all along. 4th is the best choice.

Third's best, claw design more reminiscent of Force Edge.
>muh DmC rebellion is ok now

Attached: 1561860639332.gif (300x300, 2M)

??? I like his new sword though? user posted an image, I commented I like one of the swords, that's all what happened. Take your shill pill dude.

>DmC rebellion
There’s a mod for that now.

Attached: 9D07AE71-1768-4C10-87B2-7D4B5C33D633.png (1920x1080, 2.01M)

I don't even remember which is the one ingame although I think it's the first one. It's kind of an uninspired design to be honest and the handguard spikes going towards your hand rather than away looks kinda dumb.
The third one looks like Alastor or Force Edge so it's the coolest. Or maybe the fourth one.

Sparda is still a million times cooler though. I just wish it would transform as much as it did in DMC1, that was the coolest.

Sparda only went scythe in dmc1 though?

Attached: chu.png (1260x794, 921K)

They’re all alternate designs.

Attached: 7DE5EEE4-FB5F-474B-BFD0-89BF3F40C406.png (1920x1080, 2.2M)

It's not, Dante and Nero have incredibly broken moves in this game, it's up to you to know when and where to use them. Can't say the same for V though.

Use Dr Faust for easy damage boost. Whatever move it is that sets the red orbs to orbit around you can drastically improve damage output. Or just learn which enemies you should nuke with Red Hot Night as soon as they spawn.

Fully charged Double Check can be very useful.

Oh..

Attached: 317-1564133229-134466186.jpg (2560x1440, 606K)

No, it became a halberd (?) when you do Stinger, it became a scythe when you did Roundtrip, and generally changed length whenever you attacked.

I never played the series by looking up guides or video and always tried to innovate myself. But alose never really had the desire to really try hard one of the game before. How do you come up with broken combos and such? I can handle every base move of the game on its own and do basic combo between them but that's about it.
I especially get fucked when facing gimmicky ennemies like the big teleporting dog who I can only beat with specific DBreakers and by doing the same moves over and over (he TPs > rawhide/overture/ragtime > hit him three times with whatever > he escapes) or the summoners with the extanding arms.
How do I get better?

It still extends for stinger in 5.

Yeah? I remember it being really cool but only had the scythe in mind. Also remember it blocked your DT which was simply dumb.

Yeah it doesn't have a DT, but in exchange it does DT damage at all times!

i cant be the only person that got bored the fuck out of this game
stopped playing it after the faggot emo twink got introduced and i cant force myself to continue playing it

Does it now? I remember having to switch back to Alastor because I was getting pummeled by the ennemies. Might have been just me who sucked.

Ok.

Attached: EB1283D8-463E-49F2-A4B5-016B85BFC6AA.jpg (1920x1080, 1.74M)

but y

Well, some enemies have elemental weaknesses too so maybe Alastor just did the trick in that instance.

I think a lot of people switch also back to Alastor for the DT heals, me included. It's super easy to gain DT charge anyway, so having that damage at all times but no way to heal kinda sux unless you're really good at dodging.

Your style isn't big enough

Attached: 1507579460513.png (526x541, 532K)

If you're going to do this shit there better be Kakashi Dante and Hinata Lady. I would say Tsunade Trish as well but with that model, no thanks.

Glad you agree

Attached: Vergil-smile.jpg (280x330, 19K)

I would’ve thought Jiraiya Dante fit more in terms of design.

CRIMSON CLOUD

Dante - Jiraya
Lady - 1010
Trish - Kurenai or Konan
Vergil - ????

Only one man is based enough to be Vergil.

Attached: Tobirama_Senju.jpg (800x464, 48K)

Even on DMD Vergil doesn't have nearly enough health.

10/10, Jesus
Then wouldn't Dante be Hashirama?
Also, i think these threads just hit yet another level of autism

That could work.

Agreed, Queen Empusa is particularly egregious.

Would you rather have Vergil, Trish, Lady, and Lucia playable DLC

or a 10 mission original Vergil campaign only?

10 mission OG Vergil campaign no question, I'm done with backtracking.

That's not a hard choice lol
Vergil all the fucking way

10 missions of Vergil. Who cares about Trash and Whocia? Lady's cool, but I can live without playing as her.

Attached: 1552461593358.webm (638x562, 2.8M)

10 Mission Vergil campaign. I want to see Itsuno’s answer to Vorgil’s Downfall.

I think it's fine for everything except angelos.
They definitely should have lowered the health for angelos. That Nero/V fight with them takes ages.

>Itsuno’s answer to Vorgil’s Downfall
What'd you mean by that

They want to see Itsuno rip off Bleach this time

I want to see Itsuno try to make an independent Vergil campaign, but infinitely better than what Ninja Theory did. I thought that was pretty obvious.

use "the heart" for vergil dlc

vergil campaign, easily

Is it even a question?

Hell on Hell is the true best difficulty in the game.

The enemies are all on Son of Sparda but you die in one hit, you get three gold orbs and nothing more. Hell and Hell will make you realize just how much extreme thought actually went into the enemy design in this game. It's the complete opposite of Bayonetta 2 were enemies just do insane asspull moves all the time, when you get hit in DMC5 it really feels like it was your fault. Except for maybe a handful of attacks.

Vergil only.

I'm tired of DMC spreading itself thin for the sake of more characters.

If only they had GMD and Must Style from DmC:DE.
