Jojo Heritage for the future, the whole game feels like a Jojo reference for some reason.
eyes of heaven
also dorothea’s hat in 3 houses
half of Street Fighter
every Castlevania post-symphony
Faceless void was unironically inspired by king crimson, he even poses like Dio for one of his abilities.
Fire Emblem.
>Armor of Kirk, knight of Thorns and notorious member of the Darkwraiths. A dense patch of thorns grows from its surface. It is a fitting item for the murderous Kirk, for by simply wearing it and rolling, one can damage enemies
I don't get it
One of the achievements in the Antorus, The Burning Throne raid in World of Warcraft is called Stardust Crusaders
You can unlock the stone mask as a cosmetic item in Soul Cal 6

Agreed
Decapre from street fighter IV does the YES, I AM! pose in one of her taunts
7th Stand User
Street fighter 2 alpha and 4. Not sure if 3 has any
Huh, I never made the connection.
I think I found my new favorite stand.
The exact moment this game became a 10/10
Aria of Sorrow, one of the souls Soma gets is literally a stand and yells "ORA ORA ORA" when used.
The only Jojo stuff in Street Fighter is Rose just being a Lisa Lisa ripoff.
>KC wasn't already his favorite stand
>The only Jojo stuff in Street Fighter is Rose just being a Lisa Lisa ripoff
What about Gulie stealing Stronheimer's hairstyle?
Or Gill being Lars.
Or Juri being Jolyne.
>Or Gill being Lars.
The Ultimate Bingo Bongo
Zephyr from Castlevania Portrait of Ruin is a Dio clone.
KoF has at least Benimaru.
Does this count?
No, David's currently doing 2 cours of Fire Force.
And literally gains the ability to no-sell timestops.
Skullgirls, Touhou
Sex Pistols is the best stand.
Don't @ me
Lol dyslexic retard can't read the stands called six pistols because they're six of them learn to read the subs properly and get your mind out of the gutter.
>game has a time stop ability
you can't attack in the time stop when you use it
>can't even throw knives
Pokemon
Mother 3
They still count as a singular entity you reatard
What are some games with literal time stop abilities. Not just slow-mo/bullet time. Only one I can think of is Luna nights. And Maaaaybe Veautiful joe.
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, though it's kind of in the "can't attack while time is stopped" category since the time stop ability takes up a soul slot
Jojo games
A Rose in the Twilight
DMC1
Dishonored
>hero stops time
>heart emblem on belt
Imagine misspelling six bullets
>hero
>dio

Pucci get out.
Fucking Guns
Monster Girl Quest Paradox literally lets you recruit Kakyoin as one of game's few male characters.
As for why his name is translated as Kockyoin, it's because in this game his name uses a different kanji for the "in" part of Kakyoin that means lewd/perverse. He's recruited in a town called Pornof, which also features the recruitable characters Panty Sensei (panty master who evaluates panties you can steal from monster girls, based on a movie character called Hentai Kamen) and Scat Captain (based on Char Aznable from Gundam).
His special character ability is summoning one of five different attacks based on Star Platinum, Hermit Purple, Silver Chariot, Magician's Red, or The Fool at the end of the player's turn.
Also, late in the game a certain character can unlock race changes. One of them is Human -> Vampire. I haven't made Kakyoin do it yet though.
Juri's design is based off of jolene's too
based on the tweet they made for it, maybe
>movie character called Hentai Kamen
>movie character
He got a movie or two because maybe this world isn't so bad after all but originally it was a beautiful manga.
Itsuno directed a jojo game so I wouldnt doubt it
Please forgive me for my ignorance.
Nah that's fine, it's cool that it got a movie.
>The only Jojo stuff in Street Fighter is Rose just being a Lisa Lisa ripoff.
What about Guile being named after J. Geil, and his design being based on Stroheim?
Bloodstained. You get it when you beat !alucard. It is hilariously overpowered as it should be.
One of Phantom Assassin's sets has a jojo reference in the loading screen too
That's not part 1
BRUNO WHERE THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING
DON’T THINK BEING DEAD IS GONNA STOP ME FROM DEMANDING THE FUCKING ARROW BACK
WE BOTH KNOW THE FINALE IS GONNA BE SLEEPING SLAVES YOU WELCHING CLEOPATRA LOOKALIKE
Do you really not know what this is referencing?
>when the only culture you know is anime
zombie subhuman
I read somewhere that there's a stinger at the end of the last episode with Jolene in it, but that could be 100% bullshit for all I know.
>release the part 4 manga in high quality hardcover for the first time
>it's the black and white version
so, with Whom do i have to talk to Translate a Season into my language?
i got a good bunch of weebs willing to spend their dough and im willing to take it
What is it then, ebin sekret club fag?
Hardcover parts 1-3 were also B&W, what's the problem?
at least they had the excuse of being based on jojoniums
oh hey, he's jill.
gekki, easy exp./
Persona
Persona series obviously.
Digital Devil Saga is somewhat influenced by part 5.
>he thinks only of the anime
Manga actually you puddle below subhuman.
just noticed I wasposting in the wrong rthread. WHOOPS.
DDS gives me a real part 5 vibe for some reason, probably the whole "gang war" thing, that said, Strange Journey has a skill called "bites the dust" that inflicts the "bomb" status
The Ninja Gaiden arcade original was RIDDLED with references to Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency
one level has a museum with the pillarmen and the mask for example
>bites the dust
Really? I hope that's actually something they originally put in there and not just some translator deciding to rename something for a reference.
Neverwinter Nights has the D&D spell Timestop. It's extreme bullet time instead of literal time stop, but the effects are the same as D&D even encourages you to ROADO ROLLER DA after using it.
>translator deciding to rename something for a reference.
Given Atlus USA's track record, it wouldn't be that surprising, though usually when they do it, it's a reference to another Atlus game
I prefer the B&W versions. Araki's shading is just something that's lost int he colored version.
Warframe used to have Limbo who could literally throw 20 knives and have them freeze mid air before resuming time and killing his opponent. They reworked it because everyone being subject to time stop was annoying.

Oninaki
>This pose
>The other pose she does when you keep holding up
>OD boss who is pretty much Alucard who is a vampire that has the power to ZA WARUDO and stop time
>also OD backwards, DO, sounds like DIO
>it's extremely reminiscent of and pays great homage to SotN, one of my all time favorite games
>protag is a hot magic waifu with big tits
>late game mobility is extremely fun and satisfying
this game gets me harder than steel dude
this guy is very mad
Literally only one of the few chapters to have shading like that. Picrel is araki's shading in his prime.
YOUD BE MAD TOO IF YOU WERE DENIED YOUR DESTINY I JUST WANTED THE FUCKING ARROW
>post-symphony
there's a stone mask in symphony actually
also maria in rondo of blood had an special attack that makes her summon a "punching ghost"
ey yo calm down bro
megaman 2
redpill me on Bucciarata and the Arrow not given
Given Guiles hair has been said by the designer to be based on Polnareff, every game since 2
>late game mobility is extremely fun and satisfying
Alright fine I'll play Bloodstained
>making a clone of yourself is having a stand
I guess the 6th Day is just part 9.
>Guile's hair is based on Polnareff
Did you mean Stroheim? He's the one with the table hair.
Juri is also based on Jolyne and Rose is based on Lisa Lisa
it's damn good user
i was hesitant going in, expecting a slightly worse SotN, but it's honestly a fantastic spiritual successor
you forgot the part where the timestop makes the same sound effect
No, I don't mean stroheim, I understand he's obviously closer, but I'm basing this of an interview with the designer, not speculation, and only polpol was named
Fuck off, jojobrony.
>only one mention of Skullgirls in the thread
but it's a good game, OP
Also Peacock sometimes drops a road roller
warframe did it best

Name a single thing Diavolo did wrong.
SOLD DRUGS TO KIDS AND NOT TO ME
he lost
FYI, the bomb status causes an explosion when someone afflicted with the status gets hit. It's clearly a Kira reference.
No, it was Benimaru in KOF that was based on Polnareff. He even wears the same fucking shirt and pants in KOF 94-95.
That's only because fate decided to be an asshole.
his stand was diet dr.dio and had zero character other then "i'm evil"
He also loses to the most boring "Good trumps Evil" shit like a fucking kids movie.
tried to kill his daughter
hid his mother underground
murdered his adoptive father with a pickax
burned down his home town
Megaman starforce 3
Literaly every person alive has a fucking stand and we fight King Crimson
Guile too, remember some SF people jumped ship over to SNK when making the first Samsho
>In an interview with producer Noritaka Funamizu, he reveals that Guile's overall appearance was modeled after Jean Pierre Polnareff, a character from the manga series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Guile's page in Street Fighter X Tekken Artworks goes into detail, explaining that early designs included Polnareff's vertical, yet modest hairstyle, but at the time the sprites were being made for Street Fighter II, the pixel artist jokingly stretched Guile's hair out to the sides.
>tried to kill his daughter
He was merely trying to uncuck himself

Castlevania AoS
Sounds legit then.
>zero character other then "i'm evil"
You say that as if DIO doesn't have this issue
>Is literally a 21st Century Schizoid Man
Kino
>Jojo pose
>but its not from part 2
Based but bluepilled
Persona 4 and 5
>It's not from the part that all the ironic weebs sucks off and obnoxiously reference all the fucking time
Sounds good in my book.
It’s not from part 2? I thought that was a Kars or Wamuu.
had sex
Dio had 3 seasons of build up at least, but yeah you right.
I'd honestly prefer he come back from the dead go requiem and obtain KC like that but w/e.
looks more like Josuke to me with the hand on the hip
>Closing a game with time stop into Tuba Rush
I get so massively erect anytime I can pull that shit off
For some reason in BOTW there are NPCs named Rohan Kishibe and Panacotta Fugo
Necalli also bares a strong inspiration from Kars.
King Crimson is pretty amazing, he has so much personality and style.
Way too fucking many
but I love all of it
KONO DIO DA WRYYYYYY BASED JOJOKE!
Do the hardcovers have the pages colored by Araki from the original Shounen Jump printing?
the game
Guile is Engrish for Gill.
FUCK YOU
Sunday. Don't get your hopes up, the fight is basically over and it's a stupid ass asspull then some 2deep4u bullshit with a ball
I'd argue that Diavolo is the better villain due to him being more specific in his motives; wanting to remain at the top of his gang and protecting that position by any means necessary. Whereas with DIO it's the generic "I wanna become god blah blah blah". And personally, King Crimson's theme of avoiding fate is much cooler than timestop,
Jokes on you your post is 4
Diavolo was essentially DIO perfected.
Impatience. Had he wait Bruno to go back after dropping off Trish, he would easily donut his daughter without any interference.
my game im working on I'm making a character based on this lad
>4 at the end
Kek
Sex pistols always seemed kind of useless to me
Don't a ton of games already have a retarded enemy that just walks into your attacks?
>Start watching Jojo anime because friends push me non-stop
>Takes me literally 3 years to get through part 1-3, constantly starting and stopping due to boredom
>Slog through last bits of part 3, hate the constant inconsistencies in character abilities, the near total lack of characterization (outside of Polnareff), and the fact that every fight plays out the same
>Start up part 4
>Already enjoy the characters way more, powers are incredibly interesting and more consistent in their limitations, and the small town murder mystery is a massive draw
>Finish it up, fucking love it
>Start up part 5
>Back to seemingly Gary Stu MC, with powers that so far appear to be giving life to inanimate objects, which turns them into whatever being he Giorno wants that are fully under his control, but it also has a life-link to others, and punching people with it seemingly fills them with so much life it causes a sensory overload
>Motivation of entire character is just, "Drugs are bad, that gang member that took care of me hated people selling drugs to kids, so now Bruno, you're going to join me because I can tell based on you pulling your punches you also hate drugs, so I'll join your gang and take over."
>Talk to friends
>They actively say how part 5 is a huge mixed bag, same with part 6, and how the anime didn't save how messy it gets
Good lord almighty, this series is such a goddamn mess. Every episode other than most of part 4 (rock paper scissors kid episode can be thrown in the trash) makes me feel like screaming into the void regarding inconsistencies and ass pulls. Please tell me part 6 or 7 or whatever is better.
6 is pure insanity after not too long(and I love it), and 7 is often regarded as the best.
That being said it never goes back to being fun comfy town stuff, but the MCs do get better.
Part 7 is generally agreed as the best part.
> BRUNO I'LL LET YOU EAT THE SHIT OUT OF MY DAUGHTER'S ASSHOLE JUST GIVE ME THE GOD DAMN ARROW FUCK PLEASE
7>2>8>4>3>1>5>6
Glad to hear it. I'm gonna power through part 5, but I'm already yearning for the characterization and straightforward but creative powers in part 4.
It's killing me to go from the first part I genuinely enjoyed and blasted through within a month, to a part generally regarded as one of the lesser within the series. Like seriously, what the fuck is Gionoro's powers? It's like he can do 20 different things just depending on whatever the plot requires. It's like Jotaro and his Star Finger all over again.
JoJolion fucking sucks and makes no sense. How can an 89 year old move like that? It's ridiculous.
Sonic Adventure 2, Knuckles says Ora Ora Ora when he digs.
Their limited use makes them more entertaining in fights. Honestly though I just like the dynamic between them and Mista.
I wish this blatantly obvious Dio reference of a fight lasted longer than 10 seconds (unless you're doing some silly ass challenge like this guy).
I don't think he could be the main villain.
For me:
Parts 1+2 are fun due to how corny they are and they aren't too long so I enjoy them.
3, Kinda agree just felt like a slog, but got better near the end.
4, Loved it.
5, Giorno is meh, but the rest of the cast make it enjoyably.
6, Its going to be weird. For me 4/5 of it was meh, and the last 1/5 at the end was great.
7, Simply amazing.
8, Started off really good, but currently the end is nowhere in sight(Even though is should be ending soon) and I'm wondering how much "Araki forgot".
>inconsistencies
That just Araki forgetting
>ass pulls
That is what Jojo is about and you got to embrace it to enjoy it.
part 5 has a ton of cool moments, characters and stands but a lot of inconsistencies and plot holes
part 6 got really bad with it and araki realized it which is why he hit the reset button
part 7 is a true return to form and has fucking incredible art when it turned into a monthly
part 8 so far is good because its mostly disconnected from part 7 and has its own quirks
Guile is a word in English, look it up geniuses
Yeah, part 1 and 2 are fun enough if anything because of how dumb they are. And since they're short, it was easy to remember the fun stuff over the slower episodes.
>That is what Jojo is about and you got to embrace it to enjoy it.
Fuck that, my anger fueled my ability to finish part 3. If anything, noting all of the stupid or inconsistent moments to then discuss with my friends was the most enjoyable part of the whole thing. It's now become a consistent joke how whenever Jotaro is on screen, in part 3 and 4, all logic of fights goes out the window. Especially it part 4, the man has fucking time stop powers. Never give your character something that broken, it makes all scenes seem like they could be solved instantly so long as Jotaro is near enough.
Personally, I like the bros on a dangerous road trip feel of part 3, for some reason it catches a lot of flak on Yea Forums. Probably because they can't relate to having friends.
HOLE UP
89 years old???
part 1 sucked
part 2 had a cool and funny protagonist
part 3 was a OMEGA slog with paper thin characters besides the two main ones but it redeems itself at the end
part 4 is the the most comfy and fun but holy hell jotaro comes off as autistic
part 5 so far is okay im 23 episodes in
legit this. Only "i only watch pretty philosophical anime" people hated that part.
>21st century
Part 5 takes place in 1999.
Jotaro is shit compared to Joseph and the monster of the week episodes are painful. Part 2 is the peak of the series.
Beta boys can't handle the high-test brotherly journey of part 3.
My main issue is that they have little interactions with each other that makes you feel like they actually enjoy each other's company, at least in the anime. Jotaro is so stoic 24/7, that the most interaction he has with the others is tolerating their presence while drinking tea/coffee. Avdol is mostly just Joseph's butler it feels like, and Kakyoin is just...there. Polnareff is the closest thing to an actual character, since he's fucking devastated by the "loss" of Avdol and actually grows as a character over time. Hell, when Avdol reappears, all of the characters go, "Yeah, we didn't tell you because we knew you couldn't keep a secret." Despite how fucked up he was over the death, they just roll it off as a joke.
They have no real chemistry or feeling that they're actually friends. Jotaro especially seems like he just tolerates the others. In part 2 and 4, you have multiple scenes where the characters are hanging out or interacting. Especially in part 4. Josuke, Okuyasu, and Koichi are constantly hanging out, looking after each other and are concerned. They're eating lunch, talking about Koichi's "love life", trying to make money for summer break, even trying to be there for difficult moments like Josuke meeting Joseph or Okuyasu dealing with Shigechi's death.
I wanted to enjoy the bro road trip, but it felt like 4 guys and a dog just driving together from fight to fight, generally watching each other's backs because they need the numbers for Dio. Which they barely did anyway since Jotaro is a Gary Stu.
>le now you're say and do this
>NANI how did you know????
Don't act like part 2 is any less predictable.
Part 3 has so many fights resolved with Jotaro just punching something really hard or pulling something out of his ass. Stuff like Hanged Man and Vanilla Ice and D'arby are great, but Star Finger and Star Succ and Just Punch the Diamond Teeth and Burning Coat are uninteresting and feel like a waste of time. The road trip aspect is great and lots of people like that aspect in Part 7 as well, but Johnny and Gyro have more camaraderie and interactions than the entire Part 3 crew put together.
Except the definition is the polar opposite of his character.
This.
The amount of fights that break down to:
>Oh no, a stand user, go Star Platinum, punch them
>Oh no, their stand makes it tough to punch, they got the upper hand
>Uh oh, did Jotaro die?
>No, there's Jotaro, and he now has the upper hand
>The villain is begging for their life, but secretly is about to counter attack!
>Jotaro knew they were going to counter attack and was never gonna let them off anyway, here comes the punching!
It's the same dynamic progression every time during Jotaro's fights. Outside of D'arby.
The asspulls from 2 seemed to be, and I can’t believe I’m going to say this in relation to Jojo, grounded in logic.
Most of 3 is just “Wow, Jotaro is really that strong/cool/badass!”
I think it's his ring or something and it has some reference to something with Tarkus and Bruford. I only know o it because it was mentioned in an interview with Miyazaki, but don't remember what it was specifically.
>"You idiot! While you were distracted, I wove a web of string around you to trap you!"
>"Haha, the real idiot is you! For I noticed that long ago and cut the string beforehand!"
>"But little did you know that I knew that you would know and therefore tied the string so that even if you cut one part it still remains intact!"
is at least entertaining compared to
>"This guy outranges me completely. I know, I'll just extendo Star Platinum's finger out of nowhere and oneshot him."
To be fair, even the characters are bewildered over that.
King Crimson was my favorite, but I think Speed King may have taken over once it started driving.
Dishonored and Blazblue CF.
I don't think you understand. He's 89 years old. That's messed up.
OM NOM OM NOM OM NOM OM NOM OM NOM OM NOM OM NOM OM NOM OM NOM OM NOM NOM!! that was delicious, bastard.
Fire Emblem Three Houses
i hate sounding like a broken record, but 89 years old?
Considering SJ came out in 2010 in America, I doubt it. JoJo wasn't so popular in the West that people would regularly reference it the way they might now. The Japanese would, but not anyone in English speaking countries.
Their personalities, character development, and interactions were very subtle, but you'll still be able to learn a lot from them. Some examples include:
>Jotaro bring an autistic teenager who enjoys action movies a little too much
>>"Avdol go say something cool"
>Joseph being desperate to prove that he's still useful
>>High Priestess fight
>Avdol being a lot more talkative and humorous to be able to fit in after he comes back to life
>>Pissing with Polnareff, telling more jokes than usual
Do modded games count or is that cheating
This reminds me I need to buy this off the Market.
>I'm wondering how much "Araki forgot".
>That just Araki forgetting
Araki barely forgets anything, you've let memes pollute your brain. He's not an infant, he has more knowledge of the story he himself created than the people reading it do and if he does forget some details he can just go back and read the chapter again. Most of the shit he "forgot" are just plot points he dropped, the only shit he actually forgot is stuff that was just a throwaway moment like Zeppeli having one line about not having any family. He's not going to forget entire characters that have had multiple chapters dedicated to them, especially not in JJL where it all seems like a lot more though went into the story from the outset.
I'd also disagree that asspulls are just what JoJo is about. The most fun fights are the ones that have some logic, even if it's stretching, behind how the fight is won. The ones that are just asspulls are the least satisfying fights in the part usually.
Jotaro even smiles a couple of times
if you can, get a floating friend third cosmetic.
the monkeynaut is perfect minus the fact its halloween restricted.
Didn't even think about getting one of those, thanks user.
Part 3 is something where you just need to shut your brain off and bask in the raw masculinity and catharsis of watching people beat the shit out of each other with their minds.
This dude here
If you leave your brain turned on for any part of JoJo you're doing it wrong.
You should read one piece, it's the opposite of jojo but still has soul
Why didn't Joseph use Purple Hermit to find Kira?
Why didn't GER stop and reverse MiH?
he was senile
MiH happened many miles from Giorno, and it could be argued it wasn't "attacking" him, just speeding up time
>Why didn't Joseph use Purple Hermit to find Kira?
Joseph too retardedly senile to care
>Why didn't GER stop and reverse MiH?
Giorno enjoying Disneyland too much to care
Persona 1 and 2 are basically like taking away everything that's interesting about SMT and JoJo and then slapping them together to make a dull dungeon crawler.
To this day I fail to see the appeal of the pre life-sim entries.
Also, Hermit Purple never gave Joseph incredibly specific information. It showed him Dio, but Avdol had to identify a fly for them to know he was in Cairo. HP didn't let him find Dio's location in Cairo. You could argue maybe he could make a spirit photo of Kira's second body, but Joseph was senile and his connection to Kira was nonexistent compared to that of Dio, who used Jonathan's body and was depicted ALSO using Hermit Purple.
It just works.
Why are people saying Part 5's ending is good now? So many people are saying that the fight for the arrow was the final battle since it was the win condition no matter what, but we still never got an actual interesting fight with King Crimson who had been built up for ages. Metallica was great but that was severely limited King Crimson, and the blood dripping shit is cool but doesn't amount to much in the end besides buying Polnareff and Giorno a few seconds.
Then again, I suppose that's how half of JoJo's final fights end with no real strategic battle between the protagonist and antagonist in favor of a power up that negates the enemy ability. Jonathan and Josuke and maybe Emporio are the only ones who escape this for the most part.
Persona 2 has a great cast and plot, the gameplay is just such shit that it's not worth it.
>animefags expect an epic hour long climax
>they still don't know they're geting a 10 minutes wrap up and the rest is a shitty rolling stones flashback
It's hard to think of a smart way for them to "outwit" KC. Polnareff had the best idea (detect the timeskip, attack where you think Diavolo would have moved) and it didn't work. Having someone else do that and win would just be "oh it didn't work then but it works now." Part 5 fucks up by having every character call every enemy invincible, but KC is really supposed to be unbeatable in a straight fight (he's not, but we're supposed to feel he is). Further, being able to withstand him in a direct fight, let alone get close to or succeed in defeating him, undermines/invalidates the arrow fight. If you dislike the arrow fight, this will probably be unsatisfactory to you.
Nyanko daisensou, Touhou, Ninja Gaiden, KoF...
>Most of the shit he "forgot" are just plot points he dropped
How is that any good?
He literally backpedaled Giorno's powers twice
Why should he be allowed to change his mind so easily
but thats just because the authr gave you "The Code" to defeat the problem. Imagine if you've never been able to crack how does KC works. Yea Forums took about 10 years not to figure out but to logically understand (a glitch that can move between the glitch)
Is the old OVA worth watching?
Joseph used sand to find the specific location of some tar barrel. That proves he doesn't need a camera and he doesn't need a "connection" to find whatever he needs to locate.
Sorry to be a faggot as I know this is probably a question all newfags but as someone with only a minor interest I have to ask, why do the subs fuck up all the stand names? I occasionally will watch some of the battles on youtube and it's weird as fuck hearing the characters literally say "Gold Experience" or "King Crimson" only to see "Golden Wind" or "Emperor Crimson".
I didn't say it's good, just that it's wrong that he forgets stuff. It still reflects poorly on the part as a whole whenever he does stuff like this, but that's beside the point, the point is he doesn't have the attention span of a goldfish and doesn't forget every single chapter once he's finished it as some seem to think.
Good point, I forgot.
Copyrights
Yeah, though it's deeply flawed. It covers only the most major scenes and even then it compromises a lot of details. The art is pretty good though and if you're a fan you'll still enjoy it.
For the subs? In the show itself how could they get away with saying the name but the fan subs have to worry about it?
Aren't those episodes fansubbed? Why do they care?
Because Prince's lawyers kept them from translating the Vento Aureo game on PS2 because the names were unchanged, so since the anime has started getting to the music references they've just changed the names to avoid that happening again, even though it probably wouldn't and it only happened with the PS2 game because Prince was anal about that kind of thing.
With the sheer number of groups and artists that JoJo references, I'm 100% sure at least a few of them would get assblasted about it, or at least their lawyers would smell money in the water.
You're probably right in saying that any way Giorno would have defeated King Crimson without GER or similar power-up would have felt forced if you keep the entire battle for the arrow.
But there could have been a bunch of ways to still give us an interesting fight at the end. Maybe Diavolo does stab King Crimson with the arrow at that one moment and gets King Crimson Requiem (or whatever the power up Kira got from the arrow stabbing his physical body if the arrow has to stay within his body for Requiem to be active) but the arrow is drawn to Giorno because of its nature to choose someone who is worthy and he gets Gold Experience Requiem and we have a final fight with two new power sets that are still similar to the ones we saw throughout the whole part.
Or maybe that would be more hassle than it's worth for Araki writing this for Shonen Jump back in the 90s, I dunno.
Weird, I just find it weird that they use the names in the anime with no problem but fan subbers are too worried about it.
Bloodstained is full of them.
>Monster impaled on the statue of justice like Dio after the first battle with jonathan.
>stone mask
>miriam can pose
>za warudo
>killer queen pose for a secret boss
HorribleSubs (the only ones that are censored) are not fansubs, they are official, they are ripped straight from CrunchyRoll
Probably because DP is a japanese company, producing a show that aired in japan. And it's CR that's doing the subs. They're an american company, not some random fansubber, which is probably why they're concerned about problems with the gorillion american artists whose names and works are used in the show.
Sorry, assumed it was fan subs, that makes more sense.
Why was part 4 so much happier? None of the main party dies and the villain gets a convenient death that hurts no one.
I also thought the SoL aspect was odd compared to the first three parts, but I grew to like it once the anime finished
Which tweet?
Shigechi...
Tone and setting shifts are the main reason the whole thing doesn't get too stale between each part.

It's a breather for after the DIO trilogy.
Jojo is the most intelligent shounen ever written. Can you name a better shounen than this? The answer is no, you can't. The fight scenes are so much better than any other shounen fights. These fight scenes are written with brain and intelligence. They're very original fight scenes and don't follow a traditional fight scene formula in any way. Dragon Ball can go fuck itself. Also, the JoJo fanbase are some of the nicest and most intelligent people you will meet on the internet. We just want to have fun and share our fun little memes. I want to marry Araki, but that's muda for me unfortunately. Also, I like gay guys.
