I personally liked the serious plots in the later seasons. I loved Eugene Black's clan dynamic, the female characters, and even Chaos Theosis. The jokes hit better with a drama to give pace to the humour. Only thing I didn't enjoy was Trent's role as the "villain" who was going to destroy Halo online or whatever.

Drama can really enhance comedy, if the jokes are written well.

It stopped being randumb after the 4th season. Now it's just projecting nihilistic shit of some 30 year old man trying to come off a deep.
