I saw this used at Gamestop for PS4. I almost bought it, but I didn't know anything about it. From the box, it looked like a multi-player only game.

Really good as far as I can tell, it lets you keep nice speed during jumps and prevents nasty pace-breaking hard donks. Some instances where the fastest line required a light floor donk are now gone and it feels even smoother.

Actually it's fine, for the last couple of sessions we've been playing on apex and had full lobbies of new guys who couldn't into fast yet

Who said it's easy to pick up? Maybe on toxic speed class and easy tracks but anything faster is quite hard to get a handle on, it's got a high skill floor for what's essentially a party style arcade racer.

training won't do shit against some people here, especially 3/4 of your Wipeout skill is definite by the tracks, and guess what motherfucker Ballistic had 200 TRACKS when we play online.

That other 1/4 is important though, the guy seemed very rusty and kept donking wall to wall, playing until you feel like you can control the ship confidently and recover from mistakes without panicking will help a lot even on unfamiliar tracks

Floor hugger mode is really fun even if a bit glitchy, it's just pure lines, steering and air brake usage with no pitching what so ever.

Yeah sure but then there's the completely different focus online vs the CPU, with you guys raping everyone with Diavolt and the total chaos involving weapons, making your ship choice very different than what you would use in solo.

Diavolt's low acceleration can be a real pain in the ass, even getting shot with cannon a few times almost grinds you to a halt, and taking corners too wide loses a ton of speed. It's an asshole of a ship either way though

Feels even better especially at hyperspeed zen and up, might even make drag fun instead of it being "lmao pitch up and cut everything". This mode warrants extra leaderboards 2280 style

Nope, same exact stats. Don't think they tweaked any of the ship stats at all, just changed the physics a tiny bit.
