pros:
>more screen real estate if you don't crank the scaling up too high
>increased image clarity if your pc can output 4k properly and your content is high resolution
cons:
>higher system requirements
>worse response time and refresh rate compared to standard monitor
>most likely no display port or dvi ports only hdmi.

TV guy here.
It’s not worth it. You can get a much better monitor for your needs than the prices you’ll be playing for a tv. You’ll also have to run your sound into the TV and out again so sound is in sync.
If it’s purely for gaming on console esque titles it might be okay but for pc gaming I wouldn’t do it.
A nice TV is for movies and console gaming, a nice Montior for your pc will serve you much better
what the actual fuck was this nigga thinking?
>dude in the front right looks exactly like a guy i went to highschool with
it might actually be him. i cant find his fb account because he probably changed his name.

If you use an oled tv as a computer monitor, you better mind screen burn or you'll see that taskbar carved on the screen forever
Pro:
1. Its really big
2. It still has a lot of contrast
3. You can sit somewhat close, and still have full FOV
4. OLED
Cons:
1. Most TVs do not support full RGB. Its always some kind of limited color format.
I.e YPBRC 4:2:2
Some do support full RBG
2. TVs are sample and hold in 90% of the cases, which means awful motion blur. But thats true of PC monitors as well
