Hey everyone! Summer is upon us, and the Summer Collab is here! The chosen theme was characters at the the Public Pool! Jacinth is working on background.
To keep it interesting, instead of one group shot at the pool, he's doing different pictures in a Summer Scrapbook, to show off different scenes. He's already worked out a few ideas, but please include suggestions!
Any specific character interactions are up to the artists, but if you draw your character(s) a certain way and want them in the water or in a certain scene when things are more concrete, please specify in your submission. Jacinth is more than willing to help as well; if you draw your character sitting but don't want to a draw a chair, he'll place them in a chair or raft upon request, for example - but feel free to add your own props! Be Creative! Also if you can please make sure to have your submissions have a transparent background, if you need help on doing so then ask.

even if you're drawing lineart, upscale your canvas to two times the resolutions and when you're done with it downscale. For example, upscale 2000x2000 to 4000x4000 while doing lineart and downscale back to 2000x2000 when done with lineart Don't forget to save a backup of full resolution lineart just in case you need to fix something later.

Depends on which method you use to downscale. I do it exclusively in Photoshop because of these options. calm down. D&D is often played online too now because you can play it with people all over the world plus less worries about scheduling. There's a ton of sites and programs made specifically for it.

Which parts do you feel like you're stagnating at? Try drawing something different that challenges your skills. A lot of people only draw anime girls only. try drawing more backgrounds, more machinery and cars, more tools like weapons and mecha, vegetation, water splashing over the rocks, etc. Look at which parts you think aren't good enogh and work on them. You don't have to putput coherent pieces all the time, draw a bunch of disembodied body parts from different angles and in different positions for practice too. So he can more easily give you pointers what to work on, I assume. I posted general pointers because no sample art.
You are already grinding Loomis, my brother. Just stay true to it and read it with understanding and you will surely make it. I'd personally advise practicing drawing some less stylised things like photos of people from magazines to get a hand of real human face proportions and try do more shading. Rude.

I'm not sure what you're expecting on Yea Forums, dude, especially when you're not even using a tripcode or anything, you're using "Anonymous" just like 99.9% of the other people on this site, meaning that you're just another user. Signing your art is fine, but if you're new, no-one will fucking know who you are, obviously. There's some artists here that get called by name either because they stream a lot and people know them, they've been here for years, or they use tripcodes with a name. But in most cases it'll be people involved in drama or people who are very annoying at shilling their twitter who become known by name, so you're not missing out there.

I can't get myself to I don't know how the fuck to explain it there's no drive, even though I want to it takes a force of god to get me in a mood where I actually want to draw, every other time I just hate everything about myself to the point where I just can't enjoy anything that I produce or note any improvements which I'm aware is a double edged sword since if I don't draw I don't improve but I just fucking can't I don't understand why I can't focus, I get the materials required, I have a sketchbook and like 13 different pencils, but the moment I sit down to actually try I just fucking cant put my nose to the grindstone and draw I fucking hate it kill me Lunatic will be mona lisa tier before I draw consistently
