Are you even trying?

You already posted it, doesn't get much better than Fallout 4. Maybe Cyberpunk's will be better I don't know.

Ok

Dragon's Dogma has the best all-around character creator imo. You really don't understand how limited most character creators are until you use this one. You can make anything from a little goblin-looking dude, to a tall thicc amazon, to an obese old man.

Also, inb4 someone says Black Desert Online. That creator is overrated trash.

The OP just specified no MMORPGs
Why is reading so tough for you guys?

Tony Hawk's Underground

Sims 4?
most non mmo games put little effort to character creation

Also, the more recent Soul Calibur games are currently the best I know of for outfit customization. There are layers of equipment, and each equipment piece has multiple parts that you can apply colors, patterns, and stickers to.

What? Dragon's Dogma isn't an MMORPG.

>mr potato head: the game
>hey let's try making a BLUE ORC

I assume he's talking about BDO, dummy.

Not funny

Zoomer the original dragons dogma is not an mmo

>I assume he’s talking about something other than the literal game he said
Off yourself m8

speaking of fighting games
the wwe wrestling games have good customization, or so it looked Ive never tried them

Funny it is!

A good charactor creator is a balancing act between these things:
>how wide of a variety of well-designed characters can you make?
>how easy is it to use?

The Best Possible Creator is not just a 3D modeling program. You could make anything, but you also need a fucking degree to be able to do that.

The other end of the extreme would be like, a selection of basic templates with a couple of add-on options. Super easy to use, but the variety is small.

BDO wasn't my answer to OP's question.

Rock Band 3

Another aspect worth emphasizing:
>how wide a variety of WELL-DESIGNED characters can you make

In Dark Souls 3 for example, they give you a lot of sliders to play with. The number of unique-looking characters you can make is huge. However, 90% of those possible characters look like ass. The variety is wide, but the variety of well-designed characters is much smaller.

how do i make thicc tiddy monsters? all my efforts just look lumpy and sad and theres fuck all decent uploads
ive seen some crazy tiddy monsters from honey select so i assume it can be done in this one

Are you guys that dense? Are your skulls made of lead?

Here, let me spell this out for you pinheads:
>No MMOs please.
>inb4 someone says Black Desert Online

The game that surrounds a character creator also matters. For example:

>does the in-game representation of my character look the same as it did during creation?

Monster Hunter World infamously struggles with this, and it's also a problem in most of those korean MMOs.

>do I get to see my character in cutscenes and shit?

This might be more of a personal taste thing, but when I put effort into making a unique, well-designed character, I want to get some good looks at them. Getting to sit back and watch them go in an occasional cutscene can be satisfying.

This is missing in Outward, for example. Aside from how disgusting the CC is on its own, once you get in the game, you cover them in armor and a huge backpack, and you never see them outside of the fixed viewpoint of the in-game camera.

>do the facial animations make my character look like they have downs?

This one is rough in most games, but some are worse than others.

Saints Row series before Gat Out of Hell

That's it for now I guess, since this thread seems to be dying. I think character creation is a really interesting topic, and I think it could be a lot better in most games without too much additional effort.

post more character creators if you got 'em. always looking for more. will check back later

What's wrong with Gat out of Hell?

no character customization
