I've been playing this game at a competitive level for 7 months, and I'm sorry to say that I just can't definitively say who is my main or not.
Let me give you a list of characters I've played at a local level, in Order;
Ike, Ganomdorf, Lucina, Wolf, Greninja, Samus, Isabelle, Fox.
I have decent placings with all of these characters, consistently reaching top 8 at my local. Yet, I still get bored of characters, pick up new ones, get bored of them, and then pick up new ones.
I don't know how to solve this, no one seems fun to play.

I really like Rosalina. Don't take your hate out on others for your favorite getting in as an assist trophy. It just makes everyone hate Waluigifags. No specific character is stealing from you, nor do you have any entitlement to your favorite being in in the first place. It's not worthwhile to worry about in such a negative way and in the grand scheme of things that does nothing. This board may not make it look like it, but there are many other better games than smash out there. As long as Mario spinoffs keep being made (basically like half a century minimum), Waluigi will be with you, and even after that he'll be in your heart.

Dair is frame 3, but I understand what you're talking about. That being said, why should I expect frame data nerfs?
Snake has absolutely 0 safe moves on shield (except for C4). His frame data is only good on move start up, but he has considerable endlag on all moves. I think Snake's frame data tradeoffs are fair. Not to mention he has barely any disjoints anymore. His hitboxes are pretty much where they should be. He's actually quite "honest" when you take a step back and weight everything.
Plus, now that the best Snake player, and potential top 5 player is gone from the scene, Snake won't be seen as much in top Western play. And Snake is seen as an average to low character by the Japanese.

Admittedly, Snake hits the hardest and quickest out of them. But that's his character. He's not a pure zoner or a pure brawler. He makes use of what he has around him.
That being said, Snake goes even with about 30+ characters. Which makes it difficult to play him at a high level because you have to constantly outplay your opponent.
