Yup. Beginning of 2008, Orange Box. My brain fucking exploded when I hit a wall with a Demo's bottle a couple of times. Used to main Sniper and Pyro, was playing with bots mostly (got shit inet back in the day)
Good days man, good days

Someone here gifted it to me before it went F2P. Couldn't actually play it, the computer I had at the time was a piece of shit. I didn't get to play it until after it went F2P. But I still got all the benefits you got from having the paid version.

i think i started in 2011. first played normal quickplays, then fucked around in surf maps, got a break, started playing quickplay and MvM when it was out, then found a saxton hale server, which got closed, got a break again and now im here again.

Probably 2009 on the 360 iv all places I loved it. Then I remembered coming across the different hats and items on pc and I knew I had to get a pc. I guess tf2 is the main reason I have a pc now honestly. I put more than 1000 hours into it and I'm sad to see it go.

yes. I wish I could quit this game

>tf2

i think the first map i played was hydro lol
fucking tc_hydro

Yes. Poorfag, pirated it to play on local town ISP server.
Since i had older brother, he basically chose which games will be on pc. To install game that i want, i had to beat him in FIFA, and it was pretty hard.
It took pretty much a lot of time, but it was worth it. Some time later i bought my first license, Orange Box.
I really loved time i spent on TF2. Probably with pirate time it was like 1.5k hours.
I miss my childhood friend i used to play TF2 with.

2009, just a few days after Sniper vs Spy wrapped up I think.
Joined CP_Well going in blind and immediately got my shit wrecked
entire PC hard crashed shortly after cause the toaster couldn't handle the visuals of an Ubercharged player

>tfw booted in 2011 and still an eternal newfag with a mercenary badge

Hahaha imagine being a "high tier TF2 trader" right now

Holy shit, his idea of an investment was virtual hats with pink confetti on it

>low quality tumblr gif
>retard opinion
>most likely bait
yep, its a tf2 thread alright

Getting called a newfag because you don't have hats is like how people get called reddit for "reddit spacing"
You gotta look the part user sorry

sooo fucking true

I played it at launch and on/off 3-4 years after that between other games and then never touched it again afterwards

who are the nolifers putting 5000+ hours in to a repetitive FPS? did you gain anything from this?

honestly if tf2 players quit after the trading fiasco it proves you were only in it to jew and get jewed, not much to respect there

I remember 2011, I was playing singleplayer on nucleus. Spy was my favorite at the time, my first weapon drop was the ambassador. A year later I got my first hat drop, the handymann's handle.
Such joy. Such joy. I miss those days.

Do I still get free box drop when I play?
What are the requirements and limits?

I remember just dying over and over again
I tried to play engineer because I could actually get kills and I liked his meet the video the best
Now I’ve mained every class and can even pubstomp occasionallly. I’ve played TF2 since gradeschool. I’ve decided the career I want to spend my life pursuing in between when I started playing TF2 and now
still don’t know how to rocket jump

Bought the game in 2008 as a standalone physical copy at circuit city
And I can't remember the last time I played it. Must have been 7 years ago.
